Chapter 22 Attacks on casualties

Chapter 22 Attacking the Scattered Troops
The three Richard brothers had magical beast mounts and followed Lieutenant Colonel Marvin with more than thirty mounted infantry.

Under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Marvin were the Legion’s direct scouts, able to receive military intelligence from all sides.

As the news continued to be summarized, Richard received more and more intelligence, gradually figuring out the general situation of this war.

In this war, the orc empire launched an attack in five directions: the Grant Kingdom, the Lane Kingdom, the Grand Duchy of Starnik, the Duchy of Larsson, and the Duchy of Cromia. The orcs attacked a very large range and a very wide area, and there were orcs everywhere in a direction as long as three thousand kilometers.

The northern countries of the Morning Glory Continent, almost all of them suffered from the invasion of the orcs.

The orc legions that entered the Grant Kingdom were divided into three directions and organized into three front armies.

The Western Front Army, from the Villa Mountains, invaded Duke Fox’s territory and had already captured a dozen castles and killed five barons.

The legions commanded by Duke Fox could not resist, and nearby Duke Edward, and Duke York had sent reinforcements. On the western front battlefield, the Grant Kingdom had already suffered a lot of losses, with more than 20,000 dead and wounded soldiers.

The Orc’s eastern army crossed the Annis Mountains and entered Duke Jonathan’s territory, and for the time being, they have not broken through Duke Jonathan’s defense line, and are in a state of stalemate.

The Grizzly Legion is not far away from Duke Jonathan’s territory, and it is temporarily used as a reserve to prevent the orcs from reinforcing their troops on the eastern front.

The center army is the main force of the orc army, respectively attacking the Black River Fort and Flame Fort two directions.

The orcs have made a big breakthrough in the direction of Black River Fort.

They broke through the defense line at the southern foot of the Eagle Mountain Range and are attacking Black River Fort, and the scouts have infiltrated into the Dragon Canyon.

Hawkman inspectors even appeared over Fort Wright.

The Knight Academy of Grant Kingdom has fully mobilized, forming the Academy Knights and launching a brutal stranglehold war to hunt down orc scouts and sentries.

The Flying Swallow Legion had also entered the battlefield, threatening the orc grain routes from the side and rear, and cooperating with the main Northern Legion in the battle.

The orc army in the direction of Flame Castle was split into two, with the main two legions threatening the direction of Flame Castle. There were also seven brigades of orcs attacking the Platos Mountains to act as a surprise force.

In the direction of the Platos Mountains, the orc vanguard brigade ventured lightly and was annihilated by Baron Harden in conjunction with the 8th brigade.

In the subsequent siege, the orc army was ill-prepared, and the defenders seized the opportunity to kill and injure more than a thousand people inside and out.

The orc commander Gund was personally present on the battlefield, learned from the experience of the two battle failures, and downsized two brigades to fill the establishment. Consolidating his forces and utilizing his superior strength, he captured half of the fortress of Platos, breaking the stalemate and regaining the upper hand in one fell swoop.

Just as Gunderson was making further efforts, preparing to wipe out the 8th brigade and completely break through the critical juncture of the Platos defense line, Baron Harden brought his cavalry to attack the orc transports and burned the orc rations.

The Anglo brigade was responsible for escorting the grain and equipment and protecting the transportation route. This brigade had been attacked by Baron Harden’s cavalry many times, and the losses were already very serious. It was already very difficult to be responsible for protecting the grain routes, and it was impossible to spare any troops to participate in the attack.

Forced to do so, Gunderson could only divide his forces, sending the Silver Moon Wolf Cavalry Brigade to track and capture Baron Harden’s Cavalry Regiment. The Wald Brigade was dispatched to bypass the defense line and capture Baron Stoopa’s Domain by surprise to collect food and fodder for the main force.

The remaining two brigades attacked the Platos Fortress Complex and suffered casualties. Being held back by the main force of the 8th Brigade, they could not easily withdraw their troops.

Lieutenant Colonel Marvin’s battlefield sense of smell was very sharp, and when he appeared at Baron Stoopa’s territory with his cavalry, he found that the orcs had already begun to contract their forces.

If the Wald Brigade’s forces were allowed to concentrate, four and a half squadrons of orcs would be a considerable force. Appearing on any battlefield was a weighty weight that could change the situation of the Platos defense line.

After entering the Stoopa territory, scouting found dozens of orcs escorting prisoners and rushing to Vic Castle, Lieutenant Colonel Marvin decisively attacked. Richard fought very bravely, but this time there were too many monks to kill the professionals in battle.

The third-order serpentine who was leading the group was directly killed by Lieutenant Colonel Marvin, and the remaining orcs’ bloodline maturity was not high enough for Richard to shoot two of them, failing to make a merit badge.

However, in this battle, they rescued more than thirteen hundred human prisoners.

Compared to orcs, humans had a much better level of development, and their IQ exceeded the vast majority of orcs. Orc slaves were highly valued in the human kingdom, and human captives were also a precious resource in the orc empire.

Many orcs under the banner of the great nobles would keep human slaves in captivity and let human slaves make weapons and equipment and serve as logistical soldiers. There were even human magicians who served the Orc Empire, providing magical items to the Orcs.

Lieutenant Colonel Marvin’s command was full of scouting cavalry, and it was impossible to bring refugees along.

Richard ordered Hayden to take a few soldiers and settle the refugees in a nearby dilapidated village. He himself and Ron followed Lt. Col. Marvin into battle.

Lieutenant Colonel Marvin sent out scouting cavalry in a wide range.

Their appearance in the Stoopa territory was very sudden and caught the orcs off guard, capturing three orc squads in a short period of time and cumulatively killing and wounding more than one hundred and sixty orcs.

This time Richard finally seized the opportunity and shot the second-order golems, once again making two small achievements.

The experience value increased by another 1000 points, Richard had accumulated 2500 points of experience, but could not upgrade his skills yet. Looking at the increased experience, Richard took advantage of the gap in the battle and silently opened the attribute panel.

The last few days have seen a slight increase in experience and a 0.1 point increase in the physical attribute.

Richard had inherited William’s talent and was born with a physical fitness that exceeded that of normal people. He was not yet an adult, and after joining the Wild Lion Legion for more than two months, there was a slight increase in the physical strength attribute.

However, according to Richard’s estimation, the physical potential was basically cashed in, and it would be difficult to improve it in the future.

Although Richard was only a first-order professional, his physical attributes were enough to compete with a second-order professional. His battle skills have been honed to a very mature level, especially his archery skills, and I am afraid that there are less than five people in the 8th Brigade who can beat him.

Even when facing a third-ranked professional, Richard’s chances of winning were still very high, especially when the distance was far, if there was no good enchanted armor or enchanted shield, Richard could easily shoot the enemy.

In a close fight, Richard’s attributes, swordsmanship, and fighting skills are also enough to fight against an average third-ranked professional.
