Chapter 126 Parting

Chapter 126 Parting
Alan yawned and walked out of his room to find an unexpected person in front of him.

“Are you …… you allowed out?”

He looked at the girl incredulously, the woman imprisoned there never seemed to be allowed to leave, so how could this girl be here?

The girl nodded, then surprisingly spoke, “I’m leaving the island.”

The teenager’s mouth dropped open, this iceberg-like girl was actually leaving the island? Was she released by the pirates? Would pirates be so kind?

“Are they going to move you somewhere else?”

The girl shook her head and said, “No, the pirates won’t be able to control me anymore.”

Allen got excited all of a sudden and asked, “How did you do that?”

“Barnett is taking me away, and the pirates can’t stop him.”

“Barnett? Who is he?”

The girl shook her head.

Though puzzled, Alan asked impatiently, “Will he take me and my companion with him?”

This time the girl lowered her head, seemingly afraid to look at Alan.

“All right.”

A huge sense of disappointment hit Ellen, and it was very hard on her heart.

“But still, congratulations, you’re finally out of this devil’s den.”

The girl looked up at Allen in slight surprise and said, “Thank you!”

She seemed to seriously consider it for a moment, then puffed up her small fists and said, “I’ll get you out of this later.”

“Uh …… thanks.” It always felt weird somewhere.

Then the girl’s face unexpectedly blushed slightly as she asked somewhat hesitantly, “Your name?”

Speaking of which, after knowing each other for such a long time, they hadn’t asked each other’s names yet, uh…… if that was considered knowing each other.

The boy answered instantly, “Alan, Alan Alfred. What’s yours?”

“Me?” The girl was dumbfounded for a moment, and only after a few moments did she say, a little grimly, “I don’t have a name.”

Someone else didn’t have a name? Had she been snatched by pirates and imprisoned on this island since before she could remember?
Alan scratched his head, “It’s still pretty hard to do without a name, you’ll have trouble getting around without a name when you return to the normal world later.”

He suggested, “Let me help you get a name.”

The girl blinked her big eyes, and although the expression on her face still looked a bit cold to Alan, her eyes revealed a clear eagerness, clearly, she was extremely willing for Alan to help her with a name.

Ellen clasped her hands in front of her chest, closed her eyes and began to think, what would be a good name?
“Mary? No, too unusual.”

“Carol? Always felt a bit out of place with you.”

The boy kept muttering to himself, agonizing over what he should name him, while the girl watched him silently, not blinking an eye.

“Ha! Figured it out, how about I call you ‘Kristal’?”

“Kristo?”

“Yeah, Kristo, meaning crystal ice, transparent soul.”

Alan seemed to forget his current situation, gloating over being able to come up with such a great name.

“Good, I’ll be called Kristo from now on.” The girl – Kristo – nodded, accepting the name Alan had given him.

She suddenly thought of something and removed the bracelet on her left wrist, “This is for you!”

“It’s for a girl to wear, I’m the one who ……” Alan wanted to say this, but the words came out of his mouth and then swallowed back, because Kristo’s eyes were very determined.

“Uh …… well, thank you.” He took the bracelet and put it on top of his left hand.

“I’ll give you a gift in return.”

Alan removed the two fish pendant that hung around his neck, and with a gentle break the two fish parted, and he handed one of them to Kristo’s eyes.

“I heard my mom say that this pendant has been blessed by a priest, so find a thin string to put it on and wear it around your neck, it will definitely bless you with peace.”

Christo stared hard into Alan’s eyes, and the two of them looked at each other in all directions, and just as the boy was a little embarrassed by her look, she grabbed the pendant and quickly put it away, as if she were afraid that Alan would back out.

“I will get you out of this.” She repeated once more.

“Thanks, but promise me you’ll make sure you’re safe and sound first.”

Just as the two were catching up, a man wrapped in a black cloak appeared a short distance away and called out in this direction, “Little girl, we have to go.”

Christo fondly said goodbye to Ellen, “I’m leaving, take care of yourself.” Then turned and walked towards the man.

“That’s the one who’s going to take her out of the pirate’s den, right? So envious.”

Alan thought so in his heart, although he didn’t know if the other party was good or bad at times, but the girl’s future was better than staying in this pirate’s den even if it was bad, he had gradually understood what the place where the girl was imprisoned before was used for.

Just as he was thinking this and that in his mind, Kristal suddenly turned around and smiled faintly at him.

“Uh…… so, she can smile too, and, it’s really pretty.” Allen looked at the direction the girl left in a daze, it was very unbelievable that the other party had said so many words today.

He yelled at the girl with both hands in a trumpet shape, “Take care of yourself too!”

……

Kristo followed Barnett to the ship.

Soon the ship slowly pulled away from the harbor and pushed on towards the silverless sea.

“Can’t we really take him with us?” She asked once more, tilting her head.

Barnett shook his head once more as well, the girl’s first question to him after learning that he could take her out of the pirate’s den turned out to be if he could take a boy with him.

“I have told you many times, he is not of our kind. I will not take a mortal with me.” The wizard was getting a little impatient, the little girl in front of him had been asking that question since yesterday, and
Kristo didn’t pursue the question any further today, it was useless to ask any more questions when they were already on the boat and getting farther away from the island.

Seeing the disappointment very clearly revealed in her eyes, Barnett said, “Sooner or later you will realize that you, me, and those brothers and sisters who are about to take you in, are not the same as ordinary people, we will be in control of incredibly powerful forces, while ordinary people, including that boy, they are just mortals after all.”

“Little girl, at that time you will look back on your current thoughts and you will realize how childish and ridiculous you were back then.”

Chrissy didn’t retort, but said, “I have a name now, it’s Chrissito.”

“Did you name it yourself? Just as well, it saves me some brainstorming.”

The girl looked at the docks that were drifting away, “I’ll be here again.”

Barnett chuckled, “Are you looking for revenge? It’s just as well, after all those years in captivity.”

Then he said with slight disdain, “When you have mastered your power, all the mortals on this island will be playthings in your hands, work hard.”

Thank you for the reward from my friend “Jagged Clan Little Nettle”.
