Chapter 820 – The Mermaid Princess

Chapter 820 – Mermaid Princess
Facing Alfonso, Xander didn’t have the slightest ability to resist, he had to do whatever the other party told him to do.

If he expressed his protest, he would be directly racked into action with his sorcery.

That would be better than being obedient.

Xander had just had his blood drawn and had little strength in him, struggling before he reached out and took the potion Alfonso handed him.

The black potion sloshed around in the bottle, forming some weird shapes from time to time, as if the potion itself was alive.

Xander had gotten used to taking this potion, and unlike the fear he had at the beginning, he tilted his head back and poured the black liquid down his throat.

After that, he closed his mouth tightly with a pained expression.

Although he had gotten used to this potion, it didn’t mean he liked it. Especially after drinking the potion, those black liquids seemed like little people about to fall off a cliff, desperately picking at his tongue and throat, not wanting to be swallowed by him.

Xander was so nauseous that he wanted to vomit, but he couldn’t drink water and had to physically prevent himself from actually throwing up.

Alfonso, who was in front of him, would absolutely make him swallow however he threw up.

Finally, the struggle from his throat came to an end and Xander exhaled, leaning back, sweating as if he had just come out of the water.

He tried to brace himself to stand, but his arm slipped just as he pressed it against the armrest.

Xander passed out.

Alfonso frowned and was just about to step forward when he felt a familiar wave of magic.

“Alfonso, I’m back again!” Royer still greeted Alfonso warmly, as if he had already forgotten who threw him into the fountain outside the palace the other day.

“What brings you here?” As long as Royer didn’t make trouble, Alfonso wouldn’t continue to throw people outside.

“The new bloodline fusion experiment has begun, and I’ve come to take away our honorable Emperor. Huh, asleep already?”

Royer pulled Xander’s arm and directly dragged the man to the ground.

Alfonso admonished Royer, “I’m in charge of the mermaids, you’re in charge of the Red Sea Tree, we both need this Emperor, you still need to protect him.”

“Emperor? I’m afraid he won’t be soon!”

“Until he isn’t, he is.”

Knowing that the serious Alfonso could really be extremely stubborn at times, Royer didn’t bother arguing with his best friend and dutifully used a levitation spell, allowing Xander to follow him around in a comfortable position floating in the air.

Before he left, his afterglow caught a glimpse of the mermaid in the glass room across the room, disgust and contempt flashing in his eyes.

“You’ve been studying this mermaid princess for a while, right? If there’s no progress, why don’t you give it to me to play with?”

Alfonso lowered his eyes and cleaned the medicinal liquid in his hands, “I’m still trying to extract the royal bloodline in her body, if I can extract it, the stock of the bloodline won’t run out of steam.”

Royer bristled, “Actually, if you ask me, there’s no need to use any bloodline control method at all, just empty the water of food and they’ll have to eat tree roots.”

“That way, the mermaid’s lifespan will become shorter.”

“If it gets shorter, then it gets shorter, as long as we breed a few million, the total amount of pollution cleaned up can still be increased! Transform them into hermaphrodites, haha, self-production! Get a few more reproductive organs to boost efficiency!”

Alfonso wasn’t impressed at all, “Your proposal will only drain their life force. Not very feasible.”

“Really?” Royer stroked his chin, not wanting to give up just yet, “In fact, someone else recently proposed to the Court Master to transform the mermaids into shrimps so that they can give birth to hundreds of them in their lifetime.”

“The Court Master won’t agree to that.”

“How do you know the Court Master won’t agree?” Royer patted Alfonso’s shoulder, “As a matter of fact, the Lord of the Court has already promised to give me this most special mermaid princess for a blood draw in a little while longer.”

Alfonso suddenly looked up, his eyes blazing, “You want to steal my experimental program?”

Royer laughed out loud and hurriedly smoothed Alfonso’s back, “A broken mermaid, it’s not worth getting angry! Based on our hundreds of years of friendship, it’s not too much for you to give me a mermaid, right?”

After saying that, Royer stared tightly at Alfonso.

Only then did Alfonso retract his stern line of sight and raised his hand to knock off Royer’s arm, “Anyway, without the court master’s order, I won’t give this only mermaid royal family to you. If you really want it, go ask for the Court Master’s order.” Royer made a fool of himself and shrugged his shoulders, “Alright, alright, then I’ll leave first, and I’ll send this honorable emperor back to you at night.”

Alfonso didn’t even bother to say goodbye, and with a wave of his hand, he closed the door to the sitting room.

After that, he packed up the rest of the experimental equipment with his own hands, not looking for the sorcerer apprentice to come in and help.

The mermaid pearl next door was still lying on the glass watching him, seemingly curious about everything.

After packing up his things, Alfonso stood in place for a while, motionless as if he had lost his electricity.

It took a few more minutes before he came back to his senses and walked all the way up to the glass wall, tilting his head to look at the mermaid who was staring at him.

“You have the highest concentration of blood and yet you can’t speak, is it because you don’t like to talk?”

Pearl blinked, her long milky white hair floating slowly in the water.

Colored halos kept changing in Alfonso’s eyes.

He suddenly lifted his foot and stepped into the glass wall.

The hard wall made of crystal was like a cheesecake in front of Alfonso, completely unable to stop his steps.

Alfonso entered the water-filled room, still looking up at Pearl.

Pearl swung her fish tail and approached Alfonso.

She bows her head and he tilts his head.

The lips of the two touched at once.

Pearl’s eyes were bright, like a small child eating candy.

Alfonso’s eyes were sad, like a beast trapped in a cage.

……

“So, the bloodline of the mermaid royal family is actually not conducive to enhancing the adaptability of the mermaids to the black tide pollution. However, this bloodline is an important power to control large groups of mermaids to be obedient.”

Sol closed the book.

“A large number of mermaids live in the area under the Red Sea Tree, controlling them in this way is indeed highly efficient. If we follow Alfonso’s method of concentrating the mermaids with the royal bloodline in waters that are clean and clear, yet close to the sea, we can also accomplish the control of the mermaids.”

“In that case, I would actually be able to accomplish my mission by simply healing the mermaids. But things may not be as simple as I see them ……”

As Sol was thinking, someone suddenly knocked on the palace door, “Sorcerer Sol, I am Royer, may I come in?”

Saul instantly remembered the cheerful red-haired sorcerer.

“Please come in.”

Saul stood up as a sort of welcome to the Royer wizard, who was of the same rank as himself.

The gate had been unlocked, and it was polite for the other party to knock.

Royer pushed the door open and poked his head in, with the same smile on his face that he had seen the last time they met.

“Saul, I can call you that, right?”

Saul didn’t say no.

Royer continued, “I’ve heard that you’ve been bored in this palace for almost ten days, so I’ll take you out for a walk to see Nefret in full bloom!”

The blooming scenery of the continent of Nefret must be the Red Sea Woods.

Saul’s eyes lit up, he happened to want to go see the Red Sea Tree.

Not only to see the Red Sea Tree, Saul wanted to see the mermaids in the sea!
