Chapter 573: The Knight of Vengeance
Chapter 573 – Knight of Revenge
Justin provided most of the materials and magic crystals used for healing.
So Saul could directly start healing without having to collect various sorcery materials again.
Both of them took a good rest before starting their first pollution reduction experiment.
Justin, in particular, went into a deep sleep and then meditated for three hours to get his mental body into its most stable state.
Over here, Saul had already drawn the sorcery spell outside the wizard’s tower and was doing the final step of checking it.
Because it was the first time he used this self-designed spell formation, despite Camus’ approval and the silence of the diary, Saul still checked it over and over again.
After making sure that he was well versed in what each rune did, he asked Agu to ask Justin to come out.
Justin stepped down from the Sorcerer’s Tower and immediately saw the huge sorcery spell formation in front of the Sorcerer’s Tower, and a row of figures standing around it, looking like little children.
But when Justin got closer, he realized that these small children were actually dolls made of special materials and had no facial features.
“These are dolls that take the damage for you, you can also call them stand-in dolls.” Saul briefly explained the properties of the spell to Justin so that he could cooperate in delivering the damage.
The stand-in dolls were inspired by Saul based on his previous memories. However, because they were self-designed, they could only be used in sorcery spells to transfer the damage to the dolls through a huge sparing of magic power.
Also the prerequisite was still that the enchanted person could not resist.
Waiting to inform Justin of all the precautions, Saul raised his hand and pointed to the center of the spell formation, “Then let’s begin.”
Justin nodded and calmly walked through the double doll and into the spell.
Once he was sure Justin was standing at attention and his whole body was relaxed, Saul stood at each of the four corners of the spell with Agu, Ann, and Herman.
Saul was in charge of presiding over the spell while the other three consciousnesses assisted with adjustments from the sidelines.
“Begin.” He exhaled and his spiritual and magical power began to surge.
Huge amounts of energy materialized, distorting the air around them.
The stand-in dolls around the spell began to tremble slightly, as if they too felt fear.
Justin stared at the ground with downcast eyes, watching the magic crystals in the four corners being lit up one by one.
“Snap!”
“Pop!”
“Pop!”
“Pop!”
It was as if dozens of people had stepped barefoot on the twisted lines of the sorcery spell, and at the same time stepped into his soul.
When the magic was fully dispatched, the lines and runes in the entire spell formation began to distort as well. One by one, the stand-in dolls around them raised their arms, as if trying to escape from this place.
Boom-
A silent shock descended on Justin’s spirit and flesh, and he instantly felt some kind of power cut under his skin, and then drained the contamination from his body a little bit like a filtered gauze.
Justin blanched in pain.
The sensation was like burying intertwined threads of silk inside his body, only to have them slowly withdrawn as the wound healed.
And outside of the spell, Saul was concentrating on carefully mobilizing his magic to make sure that the giant web that was tearing at Justin’s body didn’t detach too quickly.
Soon, the ear-splitting sound of metal rubbing together began to emanate from Justin’s body.
The source of the contamination appeared!
Through his spiritual perception, Saul realized that black shadows were surfacing all over his opponent’s body, with the most concentrated on the back of his head.
Saul spread out his hands, and his ten fingers transformed into thin, soft, translucent tentacles that gradually stretched out and took over one black spot, but carefully avoided the back of Justin’s head.
The contaminant there couldn’t be touched just yet.
As Sol’s tentacles touched Justin’s body, the stand-in figures around the spell began to reveal their five senses.
The re-changed faces were surprisingly seven times similar to Justin’s. And these double dolls no longer tried to escape, instead they turned around and looked at Justin’s body with thirst.
“Now I am him.”
“So I can replace him!”
Inside the mannequin were soul fragments filled with greedy malice that Saul had specially selected.
Only such a realization would allow the replacement mannequin to actively establish a connection with Justin. The first stand-in mannequin then pulled its feet up from the ground, before taking a step towards the center of the spell.
With the first, there was a second, and a third ……
Soon, dozens of mannequins slowly moved towards Justin.
Meanwhile, the mannequins who desperately wanted to snatch Justin’s body didn’t realize that the moment they moved towards Justin, traces of corrosion by strong acid began to appear on their bodies.
Their skin was making a “tingling” sound, as if they were steaks on an iron plate.
Fingertips and knees suddenly sunk in, as if something had dripped onto them, instantly corroding the flesh.
But the desire to regain their bodies made these painless dolls ignore the abnormalities in their bodies, and they continued to approach Justin, as if they could actually grab his body if they touched him.
Sol slowly absorbed the contamination from Justin’s body.
A few of the conscious bodies, on the other hand, readily adjusted the spells on the ground. Finding out which doll was running too fast, they reduced the efficiency of the conduction of the rune it was in.
However, despite the control of the consciousness bodies, these double dolls gradually approached Justin.
The closest double doll was already less than a meter away from Justin.
Of course, the shattering on its body was also the most serious.
Both of his arms had long since corroded away, and even one of his feet had disappeared to his knees.
If it wasn’t for the magical support, it would have long ago become unsteady and collapsed to the ground.
Saul calculated the time, “It can last another three minutes.”
Even though there wasn’t much time left, Saul didn’t speed up the frequency of absorbing the pollution.
This was because once the contamination was detached too quickly, resulting in the sudden aggravation of the injuries not being able to be shared in time to the substitute doll, it would cause an imbalance of the injuries in Justin’s body.
“At this rate of progress, it is estimated that three more experiments like this will reduce the contamination in Justin’s body to a safer range.”
Suddenly, Saul heard a loud voice from behind him.
He paused absorbing the contamination and looked back.
The Mushroom Forest on the shores of Lake Rhine was surprisingly shaking.
A large number of spores scattered, rioting up a rushing white mist.
Someone had broken into the mushroom forest!
Moreover, looking at this stance, it seemed to be a very rough and hard intrusion.
Otherwise, the Mushroom Forest wouldn’t have reacted so strongly.
The visitor was not good!
Without hesitation, Sol immediately disconnected his tentacles.
“Someone has come with malice, today’s spell is over. Herman you take Justin back to rest.”
Even though Justin was of the second rank, the patient was at a time of weakness, so he couldn’t be allowed to top it off at this time.
“Ann, you go get the old hag!”
Raising an army was a good idea.
“I’m here.” The old hag came out of the arched door of the Witch Tower.
She had just been peeking in, studying how Sol’s spell worked.
Sol let her watch as well.
Anyway, judging from the old witch’s display of rune formation basics, she wouldn’t be able to learn it even if she watched it ten more times.
Just then, the defense of the Mushroom Forest was finally broken through.
The mushroom tree closest to the Rhine Lake was cut off with a single slash, and the entire mushroom fell down with a bang, revealing the intruder behind it.
A man in full body armor, wearing a silver-gray metal helmet and sidling a tall black four-hoofed beast was crossing the wide Rhine Lake, staring straight at the white Pure Spirit Sorcerer’s Tower.
Thor turned around and saw the intruder’s head slowly fall back from its tilted head until it met his gaze.
“There’s a bit of a problem.” The old witch’s voice was low and hoarse, “He’s riding a strangling beast, that thing has a frighteningly high magical resistance, a ferocious beast that can harden itself against 3rd level sorcery!”
