Chapter 422: Temporary Change of Mind
Chapter 422 – Temporary Change of Heart
After Saul appeared in the small garden pushing the main materials and a large pile of magic crystals, Anze opened her eyes slightly and said breathlessly, “Saul is all here, where is the tower master?”
No one answered his question.
“So can we start making potions now?”
This time someone finally responded.
Rum laughed, “What? You still don’t understand? Didn’t the tower master ask us to bring the raw materials here just to prevent us from being dishonest when formulating the potion? Now that the tower master hasn’t come yet and you let people start, what are you going to do when the tower master comes and asks you to reformulate it?”
This was Rum’s equivalent of picking Golza’s intentions into the open.
This drew everyone to look at the two. A few apprentices’ eyes were even colored with fear.
Monica bit her lip, while Kaz and Guido frowned.
Anze didn’t seem to be in a big hurry either, merely teasing out some things that were originally hidden in the dark.
When Rum finished, he continued to close his eyes and lean back, “So what can I do, but just wait.”
“Can’t wait then start now.”
Suddenly a gentle voice rang out from the center of the garden.
Everyone, whether standing, sitting, leisurely, anxious …… all turned their heads to look over.
Golza, wearing a black cloak, appeared behind Saul at an unknown time.
When he appeared, even Anze, who had been lazily lying on the bench, stood up with a serious expression.
Sol was the first to move in his heart.
Mentor Rum seemed to be trying to ease the atmosphere, using his three-segmented arm shaped like an insect to rub the fat on his stomach, and said smilingly, “Let’s get started then, making the Blue Water Vibranium on the spot is quite a hassle. I guess everyone will have to wait for us in the end.”
“Troublesome …… wouldn’t have to be done.”
Tutor Rum’s hand that was patting his belly stopped in midair.
All the mentors looked over. Only Saul was still methodically preparing the materials in his hand.
“Lord Tower Master,” the first one to speak was Mentor Katz, who had a puzzled look on his face as he walked over to Sol’s side, “Are you not going to conduct the final test today?”
Golza’s body didn’t move and his eyes leveled to look at Kaz, “No, it’s not necessary to configure the Blue Water Spirit.”
“But ……,” Kaz grew more and more confused.
“Instead of using Blue Water Vibranium for today’s main potion, we’re switching to Sol’s Delayed Rejection potion.”
The smirk on Rum’s face disappeared completely, while Anze laughed softly, forcing herself not to roll her eyes.
It was still Kaz who was speaking, “Saul’s potion is indeed good, but there’s no way to use his potion as the main ingredient yet. We’ve always used it as a supplement to prolong the maintenance time of the spirit body and container.”
“It’s true that the original potion didn’t work, but these days I’ve made some improvements, sacrificing some of its features to extend the time.”
This time even Sol stopped.
Did Mentor Golza actually improve all of his potions in eight days?
Of course, it might not be all improvements, and it was unknown what features he had sacrificed.
After Golza finished, he reached out and placed a few sheets of paper with messy handwriting into Sol’s hands, pressed one hand on his left shoulder, and pushed him in front of himself.
“For today’s final test, Saul will take over from Rum as the main man in charge.”
Countless people’s gazes were on Saul, but Saul looked down at the few pieces of paper Golza had just given him.
The formula on it was his Delayed Rejection Potion at first glance, but many of the excipients had changed, and then many of the ingredients that Saul considered essential had been deleted.
Sol had also studied this potion for nearly a year, and despite the fact that it was a deformed formula in front of him, he still quickly deduced the effects of the new potion.
The potency was stronger, but the price required was more side effects.
If this potion was given to Mrs. Yura, the “digestion” process would become very painful.
She would feel like she was being burned with a branding iron at all times.
Would anyone want such a resurrection?
“Still, Mentor Golza was able to improve the formula to this point in even eight days, so perhaps he intends to slowly diminish the pain response again at a later time.”
Sol stared at the notes for half a second before noticing that the scene had been quiet for a long time. No one was talking, all were looking at him, or Gortha behind him.
Completely oblivious to the doubts and displeasure of the others, Golza waited with extreme patience for Saul to go over all the contents of the paper.
“Are you sure you can formulate it all at once?” He asked only when he saw Sol look up.
The first time a potion was formulated, was it required to be successful at once?
Saul looked up at the tall Sorcerer Tower Master, and the other party just looked at him gently, not looking anxious at all.
Saul exhaled a breath, “With certainty.”
Golza nodded, then said to everyone present, “Rum and Kaz cooperate with Saul, the others continue as originally assigned.”
But most of the people in the scene didn’t move.
They seemed to be overwhelmed by Golza’s temporary change of heart.
After waiting for a few seconds, there was still only one person, Sol, who started to move.
Golza said softly, “Do I need to say it again?”
A warm magical energy spread out from him, sweeping over everyone’s body in an instant.
But everyone he touched couldn’t help but shiver.
Immediately afterward, everyone realized that the shadows stretched by the rising sun beneath their feet had all disappeared.
This time, the silence lasted less than a second, and everyone immediately moved.
Even Mentor Anze, who had been so bone-less, began to personally command the nearly ten apprentices he had brought with him to start moving.
Mentor Guido held back for half a day and finally quietly threw up in the bucket after everyone started moving.
Korie turned to get the test tube, one hand reaching out under her armpit to sneak a thumbs up at Saul.
Only Saul had already begun handling the material by now and didn’t see it.
Mentor Rum waved at Sol, “Come over here Sol, although the materials I prepared can’t be used, you can take a look and see if any of these can be used. Although you are the main focus, but if you want me to come over it will be a bit difficult.”
Seeing that the two apprentices brought by Mentor Rum had already set up the tables, chairs and jars, Saul pushed his emergence ao cart over.
Mentor Katz didn’t say anything, so he silently followed Saul’s side and went over together.
When Saul passed, Rum extended his three-sectioned arm, “Let me see the Tower Master’s new program.”
In a moment, the crowd was going to configure a new potion together, so there was naturally no reason to hide this matter.
On the other side, Rokai smashed his mouth and walked over to Anze, who was rarely able to do it himself, “No wonder Lord Tower Master took away all the Blue Water Spirits in our hands the other day. You said he ……”
Luo Kai had just gotten halfway through his sentence when An Ze suddenly glanced over coldly.
Seeing that gaze, Luo Kai’s whole body shivered and immediately closed his mouth tightly, pretending that he was mute.
“Less nonsense! Do more work!”
Mentor Anze was not far from Sol, and Sol naturally heard the commotion from his side.
“Today’s Anze seems to be extraordinarily grumpy, he wouldn’t even talk to Rokai like this before.”
Of course, there was something wrong with Rokai as well.
But Sol just glanced that way.
Almost all the bigwigs of the Wizard’s Tower were out in force today, and he, being of a fairly young generation, just had to do his share of the work.
Mentor Golza, on the other hand, was the most laid back person in the room, even Mentor Monica and Jello had to help with the materials, while Golza just casually summoned over a couch and nestled stiffly in it, scrutinizing everyone’s movements.
As the sun gradually came over the heads of the crowd from the east, some of the simple tasks had already been completed, with only Sol and Guido still busy on their side.
At that moment, a black silhouette slowly emerged from beneath the ground without a hint of shadow.
Golza saw it and immediately beckoned to it, “Come here, Yura. After today, I don’t think you’ll need to wear this skin all day.”
