Chapter 252 – The Diary Arrives

Chapter 252 – Diary Arrives
After Yura left, Saul returned to the long table and took his transmitting pen to write a few more sentences.

A complete recounting of Wright’s plea for help, to Yura’s trip alone.

He put the pen down, his eyes flashing.

That night, because he didn’t know if Yura would suddenly come back again, Saul didn’t activate the spells of the Consciousness Platform, and instead chose the more secure study of sorcery.

However, until two days had passed, he hadn’t heard of any abnormality at Wright’s place, nor had he seen the tower master come over to look for him specifically.

Everything was calm and quiet, as if nothing had happened.

These days it was another matter that began to pull at Saul’s heart and mind.

The Seed of Evil Thought had sprouted.

Once it started to germinate, the result would be a matter of these two days.

The hatching process was much faster than Kukin had said it would be.

Now it was just a matter of wondering if the spell that hatched would be of any type and what it would do.

But since the diary is looking at this Seed of Evil Thoughts, the hatched fruit should be annotated as well.

Little Algae was very interested in the Seed of Evil Thoughts, and even though Saul had repeatedly emphasized to him that he couldn’t eat it, he still liked to circle around the Seed of Evil Thoughts.

Determining that Wright’s matter would not affect him for the time being, Saul finally restarted the Consciousness Platform Formation that he had put aside for a few days.

He purposely concocted the sorcery pigment that was most favorable for drawing dark-attribute sorcery spell formations, and transcribed the entire spell formation from a single decomposition chart to the floor of the storage room.

It took Saul most of the day just to transcribe and draw, and then he placed the magic crystals one by one on the magic transmission points.

Now all that was left was for him to stand up and activate the spell formation.

Because it was his first attempt, Saul did not modify the spell formation so as not to affect the presentation of the consciousness platform.

The basic preparations had already been completed, and all that was left was for Saul to stand up to the spell formation and use himself as the energy to activate it.

Before starting, Saul poured himself the juice extracted from the Sound Grinding Fruit. He also swallowed a dose of Heart’s Guardian in a meaty manner.

Before officially starting, Saul looked at the diary on his left shoulder.

Today, the diary was moving up and down a little too much, with a little too fast a frequency, and it looked the same as Saul’s heart that was thumping with nervousness.

“Are you getting excited too?” Saul licked his dry, cracked lips and took a deep breath.

He then closed his eyes and let his mind calm down.

The mental body began to vibrate, magic spreading down his hands and feet to the spell below.

A magic crystal was lit up, and countless dark currents followed the lines, surging and crisscrossing until they awakened the entire sorcery spell formation.

Suddenly, the surrounding walls white, candle flame violently ran high. The tongue of fire ruffled the wall leaving a black trace.

After the heavy shelves, a corpse slowly turned, and the stiff neck made a clicking sound.

When the head turned ninety degrees, the eyelids opened, revealing a pair of bottomless black holes.

And Saul had no time to care about the changes around him at this time, in his perception, the space began to tremble, the earth cracked, the roof collapsed, and there was a rift in the space.

Prying eyes came from above his head, under his feet, and from the cracks in the space around him.

Even though his eyes were closed, Saul had the uneasiness of being peeped at, as if he was being stripped naked on a stage where everyone was watching.

Suddenly, time was stopped.

A sigh was followed by the sound of mirrors shattering all around.

Thor opened his eyes as the image of the sky crumbling before him continued to crack and fall, revealing an eerie darkness behind him.

He blinked, and the shards of mirrors surrounding him violently shattered once more, turning into flying foam that scattered in all directions and disappeared into the darkness.

He looked down slightly and saw that he was standing on a huge circular stone platform. The surface of the stone platform was painted with the spell formation of the Consciousness Platform.

He had successfully entered the Consciousness Platform.

Saul’s first reaction was to look over his left shoulder. However the Day System was surprisingly no longer there!
A slight panic in his thoughts induced a tremor in the stone platform.

“Don’t rush, calm down.” Sol admonished himself in his mind.

Perhaps it was the effect of the Sound Grinding Fruit, or perhaps his self-soothing achieved its effect, the space finally smoothed out again and stopped shaking.

Looking around, Saul did not find any trace of the diary. Even when he peered within with his mental body check, there was no trace of the diary.

“This is different again from the last time I entered the consciousness platform.”

Instead of panicking this time, Saul worked hard to analyze the difference between these two times.

“Last time, there was not only my consciousness on the platform, but also the consciousness of Morton and the countless souls absorbed by him.”

“Now that the platform is clean, at the very least it means that there is no one else prying inside me. This is a good thing.”

Saul lowered his head and began to observe himself, and then he realized that his current appearance was the same as his outside physical body.

That is to say that his current conscious form was full of light gray skin, after the secondary transformation.

“The last time I was in distress, I connected to the diary and managed to make him appear in my hands, but was unable to open it and could only use the diary as a slate.”

“So the last time I didn’t really master the diary, and therefore couldn’t connect it and make it my locator.”

“So what’s missing?”

Although it was said that Saul could also imitate his last experience this time and get the diary in his hands first.

But in the shadows he always felt that if he really did that, it would only be one more slate in his hands.

“Anyway, there’s no rush to fight now, so I’ll try a few more times.”

He began to switch his thoughts.

“Obviously I can drive the diary to unfold and turn to any of the black pages in the outside world, and I can even view that golden page of unknown origin. It doesn’t make sense that I can’t open the diary after entering consciousness instead.”

“The diary was originally controlled by me through my consciousness, so now it’s …… the diary that doesn’t recognize my consciousness?”

Saul vaguely felt that he had grasped something, and he looked at his hand as the tide of his thoughts continued to churn.

“Consciousness space is determined by consciousness, and the faces of things I see are what I perceive. But my perception is not 100% correct. So ……”

Saul raised his head and looked straight ahead, and after a few breaths, his figure unexpectedly began to change!
His arms and legs continued to grow longer, his bones grew, and his muscles bulged.

The sorcerer’s apprentice robes and boots on his body changed into a white short-sleeved shirt, gray suit pants, and a pair of not-so-shiny black leather shoes.

Saul’s mind moved and a semblance appeared in front of him, reflecting his own current appearance.

Sure enough, it was his true appearance.

He was still the same young man who had just graduated and was full of vigor, waiting for a promotion and a raise to become a winner in life.

“So the self I really recognize is my twenty-something year old self.” Looking at his appearance in the mirror, Saul let out a bitter smile, “Not that social animal who has been struggling for more than ten years and is still bumming around, a salted fish that has turned over and is still a salted fish.”

“So the one who appeared on the Evil Spirit Bookshelf at that time, representing my fear, was not myself, but that ordinary, accomplishing nothing.”

But not anymore.

Thor reached out and grasped a dark red hardback book in the seemingly empty space.

On the cover of the book, six characters of the same color, “Diary of a Death Wizard”, were embossed.

He withdrew his arm and held the spine of the book with his forefinger, middle finger and ring finger, while his thumb gently pushed open the cover.

It was as easy as casually plucking a young girl’s green silk.

“Since I can only access the diary’s body in the form and cognition I am in now, it means that the …… Death Witch Diary is not a legacy I received from this body. Rather, it, itself, chose me!”

If one ignores the corners of Saul’s mouth that were so excited that they twitched, the man who was now holding the diary and standing upright had the demeanor of an inscrutable and accomplished master.
