Chapter 15: Come on! Come together!
Chapter 15: Come on! Get it together!
Thor’s fingers rested against the puppet, unable to hold it or put it down.
“Why do I always receive death warnings? Am I just unlucky, or is this the norm in the Sorcerer’s Tower?”
Slowly, tentatively, Saul let go of his hand, realizing that he wasn’t turning into a puppet and lying on the ground.
“So it seems that for a puppet to take my body, she can’t do it alone, and would need me to open a locker, or face more than one puppet to do it.”
Saul stepped around the puppet and prepared to bring the small bucket with the garbage sealed in it.
“Since you’re not going to go back into the cabinet honestly, you’ll be my trash!”
However Saul was too happy too soon.
New writing surfaced on the hardback book.
[Sol 314, May 21st.
For laziness, you throw the puppet in the trash.
While this is indeed where it belongs, a small bucket seals trash, but not props.
The next day you come back to the lab, and it’s already like a hurricane.
Angry Mark senior simply do not listen to your explanation, licking off all your skin, flesh, blood, internal organs ……
You turn into a white bone.
Your left hand is happy.]
Saul immediately jumped back and grabbed the puppet on the floor, “You’re tough enough, it’s death even if you put it in the cabinet, it’s death even if you don’t!”
He squeezed the doll, really wanting to crush it vigorously.
But the doll was sturdy, with Saul’s strength, he couldn’t even remove one of its arms.
Saul gave up trying.
For as he pushed, the doll seemed to smile.
Although there was no death warning, Saul always felt that breaking the doll was not a good thing.
“Take it outside the lab and dump it somewhere.” Saul thought tentatively.
Instead of another warning, the hardback retracted back into his left shoulder.
“Whew…”
Saul breathed a sigh of relief.
He turned around and prepared to leave immediately after patrolling the last stretch of road.
However, he had just turned around ……
“Clattering ……”
The sound of something crackling and falling to the ground came from behind him.
The glass cabinet doors were wide open, spilling the puppets inside.
As soon as Saul turned around, he inevitably met the eyes of one of the puppets.
“Help me, help me, help me ……”
“Save me, save me, save me ……”
“Me too, me too ……”
“Save me, save me, save me ……”
In an instant, it was as if hundreds of people’s voices were ringing in Saul’s head.
Saul no longer cared about the warning that he would be killed by Mark the next day, he turned around and ran, however, just as his feet left the ground, his entire body lost its center of gravity and fell to the ground with a “bam” sound.
Saul tried to get up, but realized that his limbs were as stiff as wood.
A sensation of being eroded by numbness was spreading from his limbs, little by little, to his torso, his brain ……
“No!”
Saul remembered Instructor Monica’s teaching about meditation during the day, and immediately recalled the details of the human-monster walking diagram in his mind.
Even though there was no diagram in his hands at this time, and there was no crystal ball to aid in meditation, under the life and death crisis, Saul still entered a meditative state.
The complicated sounds in his ears immediately diminished, but did not completely disappear.
The numbness returned to the limbs from the internal organs.
If Monica were here at this moment, she would probably marvel at the fact that Saul’s talent in mental power was even better than she had imagined.
But Saul was still unable to get up and escape, his limbs still stiff as wood.
“No, my left hand can still move!”
Saul felt that his white bone left hand was not stiff and could still flex and extend flexibly.
He poured his whole body strength into his left hand and crawled on the ground, trying to get away from the puppets behind him.
But as soon as he moved his left hand, there was no way he could maintain his meditation, and the numbness spread down his limb once again. Simply maintaining meditation would not solve his predicament, and he would even fall into extinction when his mental energy was exhausted.
Saul simply gave up meditation and focused on relying on the strength of his left single arm to crawl, drag himself, and crawl again ……
Only when the numbness spread to his chest did Saul pause and meditate again, allowing the stiffness to return to his limbs.
In this way, he kept switching between crawling, meditating, crawling, and meditating, and with difficulty, a little bit closer to the door of the laboratory.
Saul’s left hand was already pressing on the lab door, “I can’t believe it was that live experiment that saved him.”
The door of the lab opened inwards, Saul needed to crawl up and pull the handle.
But as he struggled to prop up his upper body with his left hand, trying to lean himself against the wall, the door suddenly opened by itself.
Half of Mark’s face stuck out from behind the door, his eyes struggling to stare down at Saul, revealing the large whites of his eyes above.
“Saul, what are you doing?”
The familiar face appeared, but it only made Saul feel like ice.
A cold air swished and swept over his entire body.
From the angle he was lying on the ground, he could see it clearly.
Where was that any kind of Senior Mark?
It was clearly only a thin half-skin, sticking out from the middle of the gate.
That face skin didn’t seem to have realized that he had been exposed, still glaring at Saul, “The lab is a mess, where are you going? Hurry back and clean up!”
The large red trash can next to the door suddenly opened the lid on its own.
“Pop!”
A pair of ghastly white hands rested on the edge of the trash can.
The bones were raised and bruised, as if they were pushing, hard, upward.
Behind him came a strange “grunting” sound, slowly approaching Saul, something rolling toward him.
Saul’s teeth began to chatter again, I did not expect to become an apprentice sorcerer, he still can not get rid of the fate of the weak, helpless and can only wait for death.
The hardcover book once again flew to him, clattering and flipping quickly, but did not stop, each flash of paper on the surface of a big word written “death”.
It didn’t even bother to describe how Saul had fallen into death.
“Oh …… hahahaha ……” Saul began to laugh, “Why does death always focus on me alone? Is my meat delicious? Hahaha ……”
He had gone a little crazy.
“Come on! Come on! Let’s go together! Let’s see which one of us is more powerful after turning into a trick! Come on! Hahaha ……”
“Bam!”
The gate was suddenly pushed open dramatically.
The door slammed into Saul’s forehead, knocking him to the ground.
“Ugh!”
Saul’s laughter was interrupted as he whimpered and subconsciously covered his forehead with his hand.
“Wait, my body can move?”
The hardback book quietly retracted back to his left shoulder.
There was no time to check, and Saul hastily looked up and ahead.
On the door, half of Mark’s face had disappeared.
The door was pushed completely open, and a man wrapped in pink bandages slowly walked in.
Except for a pair of silver eyes, the rest of the man was tightly wrapped in bandages.
No ears, nostrils, or even a hint of hair showed.
Being stared at by the man’s pair of silver eyes, Solbian couldn’t move a muscle as he was half sprawled on the ground, his mind was blank and he didn’t even feel fear.
Luckily, the pink bandaged man only skimmed Saul’s eyes before raising his head to the lab and whispering, “Get the hell back.”
He looked down at Saul once again, the coldness in his eyes receding as if it were as gentle as clear water.
“New apprentice, why did you spend the night in the lab?”
“Spend the night?”
The thought came together and Saul’s whole body regained consciousness, as if he were him again.
Saul turned his head to look at the hourglass on the wall, only to realize that the hourglass had fallen to the eleven o’clock midnight mark at some point.
“When Senior Mark left, it was clearly not even six o’clock, why is it eleven o’clock now?”
In Saul’s perception, the time he had spent alone in this laboratory definitely did not exceed half an hour.
