Chapter 126 – The Corpse Room’s Props Are Just Fine

Saul tried to keep his breathing rate the same, and sat up slowly with an expressionless face.

“I hope that big ship didn’t find its way down.” Saul whispered, seemingly just trying to comfort himself.

He didn’t know exactly what the identity of the enemy was, but it was likely from that large ship.

And that three-masted schooner, too, was likely a land rover.

According to the diary hints, whether or not Saul confessed that it was Bill who did the killing, they wouldn’t have left him alive.

Saul waited for a moment, and though he couldn’t see it, he was certain that the head, whose neck could elongate quickly, was hovering in front of him.

As soon as he reached out, he might touch a cold piece of skin.

But Saul couldn’t wait around forever.

He’d been lying here for two hours, and he wasn’t sure how much patience the other man had left.

Once the other party thought that it was impossible to find his companion through Saul, he would probably lose his patience and directly arrest him for torture.

Sol, on the other hand, was clearly incapable of escaping from the clutches of the other party when they were alerted.

He had to think of a way.

He must pull away from the other party, and then find a way to accelerate his escape.

There wasn’t much time left for Saul.

He couldn’t see the head, but the other party must have a way to see in the dark to keep an eye on him.

Saul thought of several ways, most of which were dismissed by the diary.

“I also have a Spirit Armor Technique scroll, if I cast it and immediately run away, will I be able to escape?”

This time, the diary finally did not give another death preview.

“The Spirit Armor Technique will be able to fend off the opponent for the time being.” Thor’s appearance was still in a crouched thinking position, holding his backpack in his arms, but his mind was racing.

“Should I use the scroll of Spirit Armor Technique now?” He secretly clenched his teeth, but did not act immediately.

“I know next to nothing about this enemy ……” He closed his eyes and forced himself to think another way, “What if I cast Soul Asshole on him?”

The diary prompted Saul that unlike the almost instantaneous scrolls, Saul would be detected by the enemy the moment he recited the spell and then clicked off without hesitation.

“So inspiring slow sorceries and similar means won’t work. What about just using my best, instantaneous striking necromancy?”

This time, the diary prompted Saul that Strike Necromancy could barely damage the enemy; after all, the enemy’s neck, though long, was not a long-necked oni.

“Although the opponent looks like a ghost, he doesn’t have the weaknesses of an oni.”

Saul leaned back, his head gently hitting the dirt wall behind him, like relaxing after being tense.

Another thought flashed through his mind.

The diary didn’t budge.

Saul’s eyes flashed.

……

“Lord Herman, the young apprentice hasn’t moved.”

While Saul was still plotting how to get rid of Longneck’s surveillance, a dozen people were busy on the ground.

One of them reported his observations to a third level sorcerer apprentice named Herman.

Herman was dressed in a silver-colored sorcerer’s robe that gleamed in the sunlight.

Although he and the people around him were all third level apprentices, all of them obviously respected him or feared him.

“Sure he sent out a distress signal?”

Herman was looking down and fiddling with a few instruments he had rummaged through the cave.

“Yes. The transmission is bi-polar, we’re just not sure of the exact content of the transmission yet.”

“How long has it been?”

The other apprentice pulled out the pocket watch he was carrying and looked at it, “Almost two hours.”

“It seems his companion doesn’t take him very seriously.”

At that moment, another sorcerer apprentice who was searching nearby came over with a somewhat ugly look on his face.

“Lord Herman, these people might be apprentices from the Sorcerer’s Tower.” As soon as the three words “Wizard Tower” came out, the figures of the busy people around them all lurched. They quietly looked over, seeking Herman’s opinion.

Herman’s face flashed with anger when he saw the reaction of his men, “Look at you all! What’s wrong with the Sorcerer’s Tower? If you’re all scared of this, why don’t you all just get off the ship and go back to being ordinary people!”

Herman’s chiding caused silence in all directions.

Suddenly, the apprentice who had been in charge of reporting on Saul’s situation in the first place spoke up in surprise, “Lord Herman, the boy we were monitoring is lost.”

“Hmm?” Herman raised his head at the words and ripped the other party’s collar, “Are you saying that an apprentice of the second level or maybe even just the first level got your eight-headed slave killed?”

That apprentice was carried, trembling, but could only nod honestly.

Herman, however, suddenly let go of him, and an interested smile appeared on his face, “Interesting, then I’ll go meet him myself.”

After saying that, the silver-colored robe on Herman’s body suddenly tightened, from a wide dress, directly into a tight suit.

Even the cap of the robe was automatically placed on Herman’s head.

Now he was all wrapped in silver from head to toe, presenting a strong body that was originally covered by a wide wizard robe.

“Lord Herman, then us?”

Herman had already stood at the entrance of the hole in the ground where Saul was hiding at this time, and he raised his hand to point at his men, “Kill anyone who appears here. Whether it’s from the Sorcerer’s Tower or not!”

After saying that, he leaped into the hole in the ground.

And a few minutes ago, Saul was leaning on the wall of the cave underneath, and one of his hands was reaching into his backpack to squeeze something with the cover of his body.

Observing Saul’s head, one could only see that the scrawny boy was curled up on the ground, his hands clutching his backpack.

Suddenly, there were footsteps ringing out from the depths of the tunnels, along with a call.

“Saul? Are you here?”

The human head abruptly twisted his head to probe over, and he surprisingly did not find anyone’s scent approaching!

“Looks like you’re in trouble, Saul.” A soft laugh rang in the human head’s ears.

However, no matter how much the human head stretched his neck, he failed to spot any enemies where the sound came from.

A flicker of panic flashed in the human head’s eyes.

But just as the human head was about to retreat, several spikes suddenly flew out from the surrounding walls, instantly piercing through the human head’s neck that was connected at the back.

The human head instantly hissed from the pain, and he stretched out once again, desperately tearing towards the source of the sound in front of him.

He believed that even if the visitor could be stealthy and hide his breath, he would still be swept away by his attack.

But he only bit into nothing, there was nothing on the opposite side.

Those spikes immediately softened after penetrating the long neck of the human head, and then while the head was trying to attack the front, it wrapped around the neck in a circle and stabbed the tip into the ground viciously again.

The human head that was still trying to launch a second attack was instantly ripped to the ground.

The attack still came from all around instead of the front.

The human head suddenly realized that there was no one in front of him at all!
He had been tricked!

The human head tried to stretch again, but realized that he was actually locked to the ground by five or six tentacles.

The human head revealed a hideous smile and struggled hard, instantly ripping two of the tentacles up from the ground.

However, because those tentacles were wrapped around his neck a dozen times, he was unexpectedly unable to rip off all the tentacles pulling him for a moment.

But instead he wasn’t afraid, the enemy was that skinny boy, and these tentacles on the ground couldn’t bind him for much longer at all.

“Roar!”

Just as the human head exerted his strength again and was about to rip all the tentacles out of the ground, he suddenly felt a hand press down on his neck, which was still bound by the tentacles.

Then, intense pain came along with the sound of chopping bones!

Thor took advantage of the human head’s shift to pounce over in one fell swoop, and then used all his strength to press on the long neck that was still on the ground trying to break free of the kozo’s bindings.

The diary had already told him that even Koho couldn’t trap the human head for a few seconds.

But those few seconds were enough.

Saul raised his right hand high, a bone-chopping knife clutched tightly in his hand, and slashed down hard!
