Chapter 16: The Five-Year Period Has Arrived
Chapter 16: The Five-Year Period Has Arrived
“Wait, why are there snow worms infesting your own lair again?”
Whatever, it’s a good thing!
David forcefully pushed down his stupid impulse to follow the trail to look for Snow Worms to directly kill them.
After thinking about it, he stood up as a man, bent his head down, stared straight backward at his still uncontrollably wriggling stomach, and ordered with a serious expression:
“Eat slower for me! At least wait until I wake up before we start the main meal? Got it? Huh?”
The voracious intestines, not sure if they were confused by this sudden seizure of the brain, stopped their digestive writhing and then emitted a gurgle that seemed to be a reluctant but reluctantly agreeable response.
“Mmmm good boy.” Only then did Davey retract his neck, patting his stomach with his paw in satisfaction before falling back and continuing to sleep.
Half a year later, Davy, who had been fed one after the other, lifted his paw and rubbed his chin, and muttered to himself as an afterthought:
“There’s actually more!?”
“This group of bold snow worms, it’s not possible that they all came to my house to open an eagle party on top of the Dragon’s Might, thinking that doing so is even more fucking exciting, right?”
Thinking of this possibility, David was vaguely excited.
And then proceeded to lie down flat and sleep.
As long as he had this silver worm to keep feeding, what the hell was he going out to hunt for?
Just like in his last life, if he could stay at home all day long and have food, drink and fun, what the hell was the point of going to work?
In this way, time flashed by, and five years passed.
During these five years, the little silver dragon Tania had been persistently playing The Red Dragon Brother’s Raising Game outside on the back of her dragon mom.
She herself didn’t expect that she would be able to persist for such a long period of time.
At first, she was merely holding on to the idea of saving her brother from a sick existence.
But soon after she realized that the other seemed to be gradually regaining her normal and healthy body shape under her feeding, and even growing rapidly and even slowly starting to gain fat
Tania was furious.
It meant that her lazy brother wasn’t sick at all!
Not only was he not sick, but he even began to openly eat and wait for death after realizing that he was feeding himself.
This was simply unbelievable to her as a silver dragon.
But then she thought about the fact that the other was a red dragon, and even more so, he lacked care, and even his mother refused to recognize his existence, and he didn’t even have the same safe and secure situation as the gold and silver dragons had in their infancy.
At that moment, he gave up his intention of forcibly waking him up.
What should I do after waking him up?
She hadn’t figured out what kind of identity she should take and how she should face him, not to mention that she didn’t know what kind of attitude and opinion the other party would have towards a fae sister like her after she woke up.
Most importantly, how can she be responsible for the other’s future when she has yet to see clearly what lies ahead of her?
If she could let her brother reach his infancy in peace, she would have fulfilled her duty as a silver dragon sister.
With this purest and simplest of thoughts, Tanya had persisted until today.
However, it could only be today.
Perhaps it was because of the imminent separation, or because there was no one to talk to for too long, Tania, who seemed to have encountered some trouble, did not leave immediately after the ‘snow worms’ reset the meal as she did in the past, but gazed at the sleeping David, and talked to herself:
“You know what? After the group of Drell Elves the year we broke our shells, a group of High Elves recently landed with their ships.”
“And the best part is, the first thing they did was start digging up Mommy’s poop.”
“About how disgusting, why are they so obsessed with our poop? You tell me.”
“But the loss of the scent marking barrier and the beasts that strayed into the territory woke mom up again.”
“With that grumpy temper of mom’s, you should be able to guess the outcome, right?”
“But I think you must not be able to guess!”
“I originally thought that mom would rise up in the sky as she did five years ago and spray this group of long ears to death in one gulp.”
“Turns out . It turned out that mom was preparing to take off when she bumped into me, who had just slipped home.”
“Then in the name of a ‘rite of passage’, she gave me this task of repairing the territory’s borders and clearing out the High Elves then went back to sleep!”
“Mom is really lazy!”
“Right! It’s exactly the same posture as yours right now! It just pisses me off!”
“Geez, I’m just entering my infancy like you, how can I possibly handle a boatload of High Elves?”
“But mom’s mission has already been given, and if I fail to complete it, with mom’s temper . I don’t even dare to think about it.”
“Hey, but it seems that I’m not without a chance.”
“And that opportunity actually happened to you.” “You know what? I don’t know exactly what ability you awakened in the Dragon’s Inheritance, the vicinity is always shrouded by a boundary similar to a nest guard.”
“As soon as I get close to you, all sorts of thoughts of giving up well up in me.”
“But it was the persistence of these five years of casting feeds that I actually awakened the Spell Beginning ahead of schedule yay!”
“Wow! So happy.”
“I even suspect that I might be the fastest Silver Dragon in the history of Silver Dragons to awaken Spell Beginnings. Hee hee!”
“All of this is half thanks to you, yo.”
“Congratulate me at the same time.”
“I guess this is the last time I’ll bring you good food.”
“Sis has to go face the world of ‘adult dragons’ alone, let’s just say you’re envious! Hehehe.”
“Well, that’s all, that group of high elves is probably coming this way, I have to go too.”
“Hey, although I still don’t know your name, but these five years, we’ve had a lot of fun together, at least sister I’m happy.”
“That’s it, if I can come back alive, I’ll come back to see you yo.”
“At that time, when you see that I, as a sister, am actually a silver dragon, you’ll be so shocked that your jaw will be dislocated.”
“Haha! I can’t wait to see what kind of expression you’ll show then.”
“At the end of the day, my dearest brother, let’s stick it to me and give me the courage to defeat a strong enemy!”
With that said, a gentle and serene smile appeared at the corners of Tania’s mouth, and she moved closer to her form, resting the tiny silver dragon horn on the tip of her nose against the slightly thicker corner of Davy’s snout.
It was like an agreement.
Only just as Tania was immersed in her own imagination and atmosphere, and wondering if she was leaning too close, Davy’s nostrils constricted, thinking that the silver bugs had come to his house to party again, and the dragon’s kisses were nibbling up with ease before the dragon even woke up.
Ka~.
“.” Tania, who had a red dragon embedded in her brain, was confused on the spot.
Then out of the dragon’s instinct of self-defense he lifted his hind limbs and kicked David in the face sending him stomping out, crashing through the aftermath passageway and fleeing without looking back.
“Never again will I stick it to you!!!”
“Just know how to bully me!”
“Wow!!!”
The kicked Davy also finally slow-turned awake, and after seeing a mess of struggling marks and a cavernous passageway opening, Davy, who had already been fed for five years, naturally came to a somewhat sad conclusion:
“Is the breeding season of the snow worms finally over? Or has the welcoming female worm at home finally bred to death?”
And the snow worm that was 80% running away with the glandular door after committing the crime earlier was bumped into by himself, however, he was almost caught by [Overeating].
David actually for the first time didn’t feel pity, on the contrary somewhat thankful for these little guys who came to the house as guests for a party.
It created a whole five years of safety and tranquility for him without worrying about his food source, right up to the juvenile stage.
But no matter what, this peaceful good time of his was finally coming to an end.
After enjoying his last meal of worms and looking at his own robust size, which was more than twice as big as when he first broke his shell and already comparable to that of a full-grown horned horse, David also finally had enough confidence to face this dangerous and malicious alien world.
“I wonder how that group of Drell ladies are living? Did they continue to go back to their old ways?”
“Forget about them for now, this time I got up, I’m even hungrier after eating.”
“Let’s fill up our stomachs first.”
At the end of his words, David’s legs stomped, and rushed up from the bottom of the pool, the broken ice crystals and water mist brought up a gorgeous rainbow color.
The five-year period had arrived.
David out of the cave.
See the dragon in the field.
