138. Chapter 138 – Dragon Child
Chapter 138 – Dragon Child
Inside the door of the room, as Tania poured buckets and buckets of water into the empty bathroom sink, and without bothering to light the coal stove underneath, she cared to lie down into the pool of water that was definitely considered freezing cold to the bone for ordinary people.
After all, she is a silver dragon who likes cold, unlike her brother, every time she takes a bath in boiling water, it is still too cold, as a result, once she stepped in with her back foot and almost didn’t cook on the spot.
She made the noise of bathing a silver dragon while making different noises, mimicking the voice of her father, Attilicia, talking to her.
At the same time, her pointed ears perked up, and hearing that the high elf outside who had ‘come from a bad place’ actually hadn’t left yet, she instantly sank her entire self into the pool water with a bit of anger, thinking sullenly:
”Hmph, another female who is ungrateful enough to want to steal daddy from mommy.”
”Tania is going to guard daddy for mommy.”
‘Just where did daddy and brother go?’
‘Hmph! They must have gone behind Tania’s back to do something bad again, just not bringing me along.’
When she didn’t see her father and brother David at the school gates from the end of the school day, combined with the commotion outside the city during class, Tania knew that they must have gotten into trouble.
According to their usual habits, at least one of them would usually be waiting for them at the entrance of the magic academy, and most of the time they even waited together in front of the school.
So Tania simply didn’t wait for them, but took advantage of the janitor’s lack of attention to herself before stopping a carriage to sneak back home early.
Otherwise, the janitors would have had the teachers contact their dads after the dragon hating junior elf students were shuttled away.
At the same time she had to convince that High Elf outside that Dad was at home, or else once she headed to the Magic Academy
In that case in case David and the others were doing something bad behind Tania’s back, wouldn’t they be exposed!
Although Tania was angry about this, she still knew what was more important.
Moreover, she understood the truth that David’s brother and dad were doing this to protect themselves.
Because of mom, they, all of them, were short of money .
Ten minutes or so later, just as patience was about to run out outside the door and she was about to go around to the back door to peek in and verify that this Mrs. Antonella was who she suspected she was, Artelicia.
Two ‘quail’ from the high altitude clouds together with the rapid descent of the feet tugging each other as if fighting in the imminent death of the fall in the tree house side window gap straight into, leaving a handful of drifting down the bird hairs.
Poof.
At the same time as the body and ‘Antonella’ Mrs. David father and son fell into a rolling gourd in the living room, but also knocked over a lot of furniture.
Just as they were about to fire out the door to rush to the Devonshire Academy of Magic, they saw their daughter Tania, who they were about to pick up, poking her head out of the bathroom, giving them a silent gesture, and pointing to the door, cocking her own long ears, signaling that there was a door-to-door High Elf outside.
The latter immediately understood, and Attilicia even sprayed her son with [Watermaking] before drinking in feigned anger:
“Davyutos! Stop right there! Wipe your body clean first, the fall won’t kill you!”
“I don’t want to! I don’t want to wipe!” David immediately rushed to the doorway like a happy husky, and kicked up directly with his human forelegs.
There was a loud bang.
Amidst the commotion their neighbors had grown accustomed to.
Salena, who was about to knock on the door again, had a close encounter with the oak door, which was suddenly out of its frame, and was crushed straight into the lawn in front of the door, and then as if she had been run over by a horse-drawn carriage.
“At that moment, Sharlena felt as if she had just eaten fifty servings of Chinese food and almost thrown up.
Just as she was about to push open the cracked and warped oak door panel on her body, what she saw, indeed, was that night’s female elf-like Attilicia, full of anger but with a hint of pampering, was catching a pony-like silver dragon rubbing the wet scales on its body.
At that moment, Salena was finally confused.
‘No… Wasn’t it the two High Elf children that were promised to be adopted?’
‘And what about this silver young dragon?’
Soon after, she couldn’t help but think of the ‘Dragonborn Waterloo’ that Atilicia had encountered on the Northern Ice Coast ten years ago.
”No..! That’s not true!!!’ Salena suffered another mental blow.
Puffing, Tania stomped through the door panel again and jumped onto Davy’s back as soon as she could, tugging on her brother’s two rear-facing dragon horns with a cheeky grin:
“Brother! Tania wants to play ride!”
“Go down go down, I’m a noble silver dragon, I’m not going to be a cow for you! Ride a horse to find mommy.” David, however, was not spoiling her at all. “Why don’t we switch riding with each other?” Tania immediately retreated and said.
“. That’s okay.” David immediately changed his face.
Looking at the happy appearance of Atilicia’s family, Salena finally pushed the door panel on her body in a trance, lost in thought and ready to pass by Davy and the others, leaving this piece of paradise that was not destined to belong to her, Salena.
It was only then that Attilicia looked ‘afterward’ at the visitor, only to be startled when she saw how Sharleena looked at the moment, even though she had halfway expected the other party to pay a surprise visit:
“Sasha Lena? What’s wrong with you?”
Salena replied with a nervous smile:
“The road was hit by a red dragon, sorry for disturbing you, I’ll leave now.”
She shouldn’t be here, she should just stay under the car.
David eyed Pops with an equally dumbfounded look and hurriedly touched him in Tania’s somewhat unhappy gaze, signaling him to hurry up.
Best to ask about the other man’s recent trip.
Reacting, Attilicia pulled her into the room without the door as soon as she could:
“Wait wait wait! You need to get this wound treated or you’ll get a scar.”
Another command was given to Davy who followed behind carrying his sister:
“Davey you go get my alchemy bag.”
“Okay.”
Taking advantage of the gap between David’s siblings’ departure, Sharaina finally gathered the courage to ask the question that was destined to disappoint her:
“They . Are they really your children?”
“Well, they’re mine and Pavela’s children.”
“. I see, thanks for letting me know.” Salena suddenly smiled brightly.
She knew that her own, some sort of longing and impulse that had sprung up since her childhood.
Until this moment, finally, completely dead.
“Huh?” Attilicia was completely at a loss as to why the other party was saying thank you to herself.
“Attilicia, are we . Still friends?”
“. Of course.” Attilicia, who had just emptied the opponent’s mage tower in the front foot, said rather sheepishly.
“. That’s really nice.” Switching her mood and looking at the way Atilicia was inexplicably concerned about her own appearance, Salena suddenly felt that it would be quite nice to be a ‘sister’ with such a fellow.
Perhaps, this was a more suitable mode of getting along between them.
But just as Sharaina’s mood had just improved, a crunching chewing sound was heard.
When she turned around, she saw that the dragon child who had just brought the alchemy pack over was gnawing on a shield uncontrollably like a crispy rice cracker.
“…” That seems to be the evidence one brought back .
It was also the only clue to chasing that red dragon.
“Davyutos! I see you have itchy scales again don’t you! Put down the guest’s things now.” Atilicia, who was relieved to see that the space coordinates had finally been physically eliminated, feigned a look of anger and chided Davy.
“Burp it’s just a cookie! How petty.” Playing the role of a real dragon child, Davy made a face at his silver dragon father and rushed out of the room with his serious-faced sister Tania on his back, literally running around the yard like a young dragon of that age.
Only two pairs of ears were cocked high.
“I’m so sorry, I just picked up this pair of kids from the Old World last year, and as you know, it’s basically impossible for them to get any kind of good education with a red dragon. What size is that shield of yours, I’ll make you another one?” Attilicia asked.
Salena, however, smiled and shook her head:
“It’s just a piece I picked up on the way…
“Already, it doesn’t matter.”
