55. Chapter 55 – Calm Down, Calm Down
Chapter 55 – Calm, Calm
Manor.
In the laboratory on the third floor, two groups of people confronted each other, and the atmosphere was grave.
Dylan and his wife Selima were sitting on one side, and on the other side were Shiala and her two close servants.
He was called back by Selima with a raven, and his face turned green with anger when he saw the floating city close to his castle.
There was no end to it!
Holy Light and then Shadow, right?
He sneered, “Are these the only two men Godello City has sent to protect the Servant? Who’s protecting who?”
The two near-servants were no more than level four, while Shyara was level five.
However, these punishing words did not cause a ripple, and it was as if he was not there in the eyes of the two chamberlains.
After Dylan had returned for so long, they had only spoken to Selima once or twice, and it was still for the sake of their fellow clan members.
Ciara had a bit of a headache.
She had spent seven or eight years in the Buried Bone Land, so naturally, she couldn’t possibly accept this kind of arrogance.
But not every Nyss was like her and her teacher, and even if she demanded it as a Servant, they wouldn’t fall in line.
The two near-servants behind her had been one of the few in the entourage who had been mild mannered.
At least they wouldn’t be sarcastic in return.
Pretending not to hear Dylan’s provocation, she turned her gaze to the black skeleton by the window.
It was closest to the floating city, and a steady stream of Shadow energy converged on him.
The two near-servants also stared intently.
Suddenly, the sound of stomping up the stairs rang out.
A middle-aged man in purple robes came flying up, holding two ornaments, with an ethereal green gemstone embedded in his belt.
Seeing this middle-aged man, Dylan’s eyelids jumped.
This man looked somewhat like his grandfather ……
Seeing that the other party was heading straight for the skeleton, he was about to call for a stop, but Shiala beat him to it.
“Wait, Mr. Meno.”
“What is it, Lord Servant?”
“Waiting for its owner to return.”
The middle-aged man looked at Dylan quizzically.
“Is it not the undead of this hick …… hick?”
Ciara didn’t explain, “Put the stuff down, you can go back first.”
“But ……”
He wanted to say something else, but was stopped by Shiala with a look.
When he left, she apologized to Dylan, but the latter’s attention wasn’t on it.
“What was that?” He asked.
“Those researchers call it a synergistic beacon, used to listen for ‘heartbeats’.”
“Oh, since when did the Shadow Sanctuary go after the undead as well? Don’t you guys hate this the most?”
Ciara gently shook her head, “Mr. Dylan, there are more and more undead souls from the Underworld, and appeasement alone will not allow them to willingly return to the Shadow, which is one of the purposes of my coming here.”
Dylan put away his sneer and began to think about the meaning behind this statement.
At that moment, someone walked up with three skeletons.
Seeing the visitor, Ciara couldn’t help but hook the corner of her mouth.
She was about to say something when Dylan jumped the gun:
“Come take a look at your skeleton, it seems to be in trouble.”
Dylan said this with a sense of asserting his sovereignty, as if he was emphasizing that “this kid is one of mine, and this is our territory.”
“Okay.”
Heine answered, then walked right up to Ciara.
The latter smiled and rose.
She was about to open her mouth when she was suddenly pulled into Heine’s arms and then gagged her lips.
The two near servants standing behind her watched with their eyes glazed over!
The Northland is a land of abstinence, and this kind of kiss in public would be regarded as a “more serious degree of indiscretion”.
As a servant of the Lady of the Dead Whisperer, the requirements would only be stricter!
But now ……
How could she be so rude?
The three brothers reacted much more calmly than the two.
Catch the Goat: “Yo, Heine has quite the lung capacity for this.”
Chief Sa: “Make it quick, I want to know what’s wrong with that dude.”
Mr. Xia: “Ask directly ah, Wei old brother, how is your soul black?”
No response.
Perhaps it was because of the skeleton’s body, the three of them had little interest in the scene before them.
Or simply that there was only a small portion of it that could cause their emotions to fluctuate.
For example, equipment, battles, copies …… of everything about the game.
…
This long kiss finally ended before the two near-servants went crazy.
Heine: “It’s been a long time, Ms. Ciara.”
The consternation on Shiala’s face quickly disappeared as she pursed her lips and smiled lightly, looking him up and down:
“Yes, half a month has passed, yet I feel like half a year has passed. I thought I was here to save you, but I didn’t realize that you had already done everything you could, and it really surprised me.
“Nuh-uh, I found a way to communicate with the spirits of the dead, so that will always help you.”
She said as she picked up the Synergy Beacon on the table and handed it to Heine, briefly describing what it did and how to use it.
“Hmph.” Dylan grunted dismissively from the sidelines.
Ciara instantly looked puzzled, “Does it mean that this is also ……”
“That’s not true, the methods can be varied, I’ll try.”
Heine picked up the item and approached Guardian Iris.
The latter’s soul fire was as black as ink, which was still quite different from Mr. Xia’s dark purple soul fire.
This was caused by the two properties of Shadow Energy, one being annihilation and the other corrosion.
In fact the three of them were happy when Xiara took this out.
They called it “Kid’s Watch 1.0”, and it did sound like it was meant to strengthen master-servant communication.
However, this was to be used on the “strange beasts”.
It sounds like some kind of strange creature from the void. ……
Moreover, judging from the level of ridicule the three mentioned, I’m afraid it would be inappropriate to use it on a skeleton.
When Heine approached Guardian Kite, he indeed took half a step back.
Well, the meaning was obvious.
Elder brother Wei resisted this matter.
It was both instinctive and a manifestation of free will, and quite reasonable, causing the three to burst out laughing.
Chief Sa: “Hahaha man, as a Shadow Warlock who runs a zoo, does that count for heaven?”
Catch the Goat: “Don’t laugh yet, what if this dude is firmly in the unsummoned stream?”
Mr. Xia: “Then you might as well believe that Sister Belly is ‘Hee hee hee, I’m going to turn Heine into a puppet on strings~'”
Mr. Sa: “Hahahahaha when am I going to hear this without laughing ……”
…
It’s so lackluster.
It’s a good thing Megumi isn’t around.
“He’s not happy about it.”
Heine helplessly returned the item.
Xiara, however, was not much disappointed, but instead said with interest, “How did you communicate with them?”
Heine looked to Dylan, it was someone’s cellar after all.
Dylan didn’t say anything, after all, this place wouldn’t have been burglarized three times if it was secret.
So he flashed a smile.
“If it’s my house, follow my rules – let your people leave first.”
……
Yard.
“What are you two doing out here?”
Shadow Technician Maynor Gitil stared at the two near-servants in front of him.
They had lost their names after swearing to serve the Lord Servant, leaving them with only their codenames.
The male was called Tooth and the female was called Shadow.
Tooth: “That hick said we weren’t his guests and stepped into his house without permission, so we were kicked out.”
Meno said sharply, “Then the Lord Servant ……”
Shadow: “The Lord Servant said that she would not be in danger and ……”
She was glared at by Tooth and instantly deflated her mouth and stopped talking.
Meno couldn’t help but frown.
His hairline was already high, and now there were four creases on his forehead.
“What did she go and do? What were those four guys who broke in later?”
Tooth: “That’s a necromancer and his three undead servants …… All of them seem to be skeletons, but I saw their soul fires were oddly colored, with gold, dark purple and silver among them, hey, didn’t you say you saw them?”
He elbowed Shadow.
Shadow was aggrieved like a pufferfish, “You, didn’t you not let me talk!”
Tooth: “You’re so dumb as a ketchup, I ……”
“Okay, okay, stop it, haven’t you had enough of arguing since you were a kid?”
Meno waved his hand impatiently, “So that weird black skeleton is his? He’s the Heine Heinrich that the Servant adults are talking about?”
Tooth: “Yes.”
“Ugh. ……”
Meno sighed harshly.
“Shouldn’t have let Servant-sama come here to practice any bullshit ideals in the first place, her mentor did, and so did she, what a stubborn one!”
He glanced at the Gitil Manor again.
Even more angry.
“And this fucking Gittler! That old thing Barry Gittler should never have run away back then, I can’t wait to crush his unattractive, prison-like, humble house with the Floating City!”
Almost as soon as his words left his mouth, the dark floating city suddenly tilted to the left.
The castle, which had already suffered a single destruction, was as fragile as a pile of blocks and instantly collapsed at one corner.
Meno was dumbfounded.
“My, my floating castle!”
He flew back to the lower part of the Floating City and stepped on a two-meter-square black plate, slowly rising up into the building with an opening at the bottom.
Just as Meno left in front of him, a group of people ran out of the manor in a fiery hurry in the back.
Dylan finally changed color:
“My house!!!”
