Chapter 733: 第731章 午夜之子三号,欢迎来到特兰西亚
Chapter 731 730. Midnight’s Children III, Welcome to Transylvania
Cement is a “stowaway”.
She hadn’t filled out the complicated game application before paralyzing herself, in her words, because she was too smart to stand in line with the idiots.
However, after being rescued back to China, under the strong request of her loyal brother, she still had no choice but to drag her sick body to complete the application, and like other players in the waiting to get their own gaming helmets.
This helmet of hers is as obviously special as the one of the pantsless demon Feng, not only is the color and shape different, even the style of the helmet is not quite the same, compared to the kind of motorcycle helmet familiar to Mrs. Shui, Sister Cement’s helmet obviously has one more special module on it.
This is also the first time that Sister Cement has seen this kind of strange thing that can accomplish the “soul penetration” operation.
Her researcher’s fervor was immediately aroused, and she excitedly planned to find a way to dismantle this thing, but it was obviously difficult for her to complete this operation with her current poor physical condition, and Mrs. Shui didn’t want to see this guy messing around and provoking the mysterious observer again.
So without further ado, she pinned Cement Sister to the hospital bed and snapped that helmet over her head as she struggled.
Hey!
Bastard, according to the instructions to use high-tech items ah, do not play blindly broken, this thing can not be what after-sales maintenance that said, if you really dismantle it, the probability that no one in the world can put it back together again.
The moment the helmet was put on, the cement sister immediately stopped struggling.
The odds were that one of the programs had been activated, sending her torso into a deep sleep, and the readings from the instruments connected around her smoothed out, which made Mrs. Shui and a few of the doctors around her tsk-tsk.
But for Sister Cement it was a different experience altogether.
The moment the helmet was put on, she felt like her soul was detaching from her body again, and that familiar weightlessness from before hit her once more, causing her to panic a little, but this time there was obviously some sort of mental protection program not letting her fall right into subspace.
The internal design of this helmet of hers was indeed different from the others, there was no forum or game selection screen, but instead upon booting it up it went straight into the game of True Otherworlds and began to watch the opening animation of that stage.
What came into view was a purplish-red nebula that mesmerized Cement Sister.
Unlike the other players who just thought it was so mysterious, she could clearly feel some subtle stares from the nebula as she looked at it, as if something was hiding in the fantastical light and surveying her with malicious eyes.
And Cement Sister had a rather wonderful feeling that this wasn’t the first time they’d seen her.
“Swish.”
A sense of weightlessness hit her at that moment, dragging her consciousness down quickly out of the disturbing star-sea area, and sending her flying into another physical area, probably because of the connection between her conscious level and Transylvania, causing Cement to clearly feel as if she had swept through a certain layer of invisible “filters”.
But before she could feel it carefully, a very game-like character selection screen popped up in front of her eyes.
The many races and character templates were dazzling, and Cement wasn’t a frequent gamer, so she was a bit overwhelmed by the choices she had to make.
But she soon realized something was wrong.
“Hehe, didn’t the information say that players can only choose to turn into a vampire after passing the Black Iron Trial after reaching level 10? Why is there an unlocked vampire option directly in my character’s race selection?”
Cement Sister was surprised to look at the brightly shining Blood Wyvern Clan vampire template in front of her, she selected it rather curiously, then began to pinch her face, and after pinching it for a few seconds, she felt annoyed, so she simply pasted her own face template on it, and directly chose 100% anthropomorphic fidelity anyway, so she wasn’t afraid of being recognized in reality.
Joking, sister now sleep a sleep, there are two heavily armed soldiers outside the door in the protection of good? There is a more practical “offline anti-ganking skills” than this?
She grinned, looking at her character with great satisfaction.
This game was quite intelligent, simulating her most beautiful, most charming and best figure, much better than her current pathetic state of being so skinny that she lost her looks and started losing her hair.
But soon Cement realized that her account actually came with an amazing skin, a legendary event skin called “The First World Destroyer”.
Tee hee, full of malice.
It seems that the Watchers behind the scenes are doing the whole thing, after all, isn’t it those nasty aliens who first described her with this name?
Hmph, I don’t use that, although it does look cool, but save me from being laughed at by you guys.
Thinking so, Cement Sister confirmed her entry into the game.
In the next instant, she felt her consciousness being shoved into a shell that was being molded, like a doll that was being sewn together by a seamstress, stitch by stitch.
A few seconds later, she opened her eyes.
What came into view was a white smooth roof, like the construction of those ultra-advanced laboratories in sci-fi, very simple ceiling with hidden light strips, molded in one piece with no decorations in sight.
She could even hear the white noise of the air purifier as it operated, and as she sat up from the bed she was lying on, she caught a glimpse of a pair of handsome male and female vampires sizing her up in front of her.
“Not bad, decent face, nice figure, a little flabby but not a big deal, legs are great, a little out of shape but correctable. The only problem is the breasts . Big indeed, but unfortunately a bit poorly shaped.”
The bewitching female vampire evaluated Sister Cement as if she were an item, and it was only at this point that Sister Cement realized in hindsight that she was different from the other players!
She didn’t have a “newbie suit” to cover her body, she would be all fruits!
“Yikes!”
The newbie screamed, curling up.
Leaving Murphy, who was gentlemanly enough to cover his eyes next to him, helpless for a moment, and glancing at old babe Trixie, who was watching the fun, the Scarlet Witch skimmed her lips, and with a flick of her outstretched hand threw a bath towel over, right over Sister Cement’s body.
“It’s not that we’re intentionally toying with you, Ms. Fifth, it’s just that because your consciousness will be noticed by Subspace when you pass through the interval between the two worlds, it’s necessary to set you up with a distinctive rookie login point.
The psychic projection weaving for you was also much more difficult than for other players, and failing to prepare clothing for shelter was part of the difficulty.
I think you should be able to understand our difficulties.”
Murphy explained, his tone gentle just like his posture when dealing with other players.
But Murphy didn’t pretend to be an NPC this time, he stated Sister Cement’s last name quite bluntly, which also declared that he wasn’t disguising his identity, causing the towel-clad Sister Cement to have a jolt.
She raised her head and looked at the two vampires in front of her as she said:
“You guys. You’re the two Watchers?”
“Yes, we are.”
Tris stretched and yawned again, addressing Sister Cement:
“You’re a special individual, we don’t have to hide this in front of you, but I guess with your intelligence you must also know that this is a secret that can’t be revealed, considering your special form right now, so I think it’s better for you to keep your mouth shut.”
“Your body has entered an irreversible death, in twenty days at the most you will perish on the other side, and whether or not you can be ‘resurrected and reborn’ here when that death comes is an experiment we are conducting.”
Murphy said bluntly:
“I think the odds are that this idea is feasible, but there have been no similar examples before so I can’t vouch for it, and considering that all of this will require our help, I think it would be better for you to consider the advice that my wife has given you.
It’s better for you and me to keep this secret well.”
“You’re playing the main NPC of this game, damn it! I feel like you guys lied to me!”
Sister Cement’s brain reacted quickly.
She screamed: “So there’s no such thing as a ‘Watcher’, right? This is all the Otherworlders playing God!”
“Look around you.”
Murphy said:
“Do you think that the environment here and the instruments here are something that our pathetic magical world at the level of a medieval civilization could produce?
The fact of the matter is that the Watcher exists, Ms. Fifth!
But they have not appeared to you or to us so far, and the whole game is based on the Observer’s black technology before the world connection was accomplished, and as you are exploring the mysteries of it, we are doing the same thing.
So far I’m certain that it has something to do with the technology of the Golden Age.
But I have too much to do right now, so the job of pursuing the secrets behind this is going to be left to you and the otherworldly people who are interested in this to carry out.
As for the whole ‘subspace invasion of Bluestar’ thing .
That’s something you’ve made up in your own heads, and we haven’t provided any arguments about it.”
“But you have to admit, after comparing the two worlds and the fact that you did attract some subspace attention during that one adventure, the odds are that your speculations will come true in some extreme case.
So just stop complaining.”
Tris chided with her arms crossed:
“You’re not an ordinary person! So don’t put on this normal person panicked demeanor to try and dig more information out of us, Murphy Jr. decided to be honest with you about all of this in the hopes that both sides would establish a more secure mechanism for cooperation.
Bluestar needs a centerpiece liaison in this world, and you guys fit the bill in every way.
Also, I want to emphasize that those bloods that make up this psychic projection of yours come from me, so you are born as my heir, I have complete control over you, and I also have the Desire Energy to hear your mind, so you’d better not be plotting something dangerous.
Ms. Fifth.
You.
You remind me of when I was young, the same amazing talent, the same disregard for the rules, the same recklessness, disregarding the entire world on the basis of my great talent.
The things you did in the other world have proved that your talent can only be a curse if it’s not used properly, so don’t complain that we have to impose this kind of restriction on you when you come over.
You’re a liability!
You and we both know that very well.”
“Hmph, I don’t deny it.”
Sister Cement bristled.
She then caught her eye by all the equipment on display in this bio-room, and just walked towards the bio-pod beside her barefooted in her towel, observing it as she fumbled with its use, and soon called up the control panel, and after a few more ticks of operation put it into some kind of deep functioning state.
“This thing it can give optimal solutions to diseases based on the analysis of the subject’s somatic condition, as well as an internal synthesizer that can produce a huge number of hormone drugs, and under extreme conditions it can even accomplish incredible black technology like ‘life freezing’.”
Sister Cement was lying there constantly debugging the functions of the bio-pod, and after a few minutes of muttering to herself, she turned back to Murphy and Tris in a tone tinged with regret and helplessness:
“If there was something like this over there, my illness would have been saved.”
“It’s not just your illness that’s cured, if you can bring such technology back to Bluestar, perhaps countless people will benefit from it.”
Murphy said softly:
“I can’t deny that I arranged for you to be born here just so that you could see for yourself how amazing the legacy of the Golden Age is, and this is also equal to a display of goodwill that I have shown to Bluestar as a Transylvanian lord.
It could not have been better for you, a dying man, to deliver such a message, and both sides could have embarked on a deeper cooperation.
The legacy of the Golden Age is not based on the use of psychic energy, in fact, their technological route is more similar to your side of the technological development, which means that you can slowly analyze the use of their methods and principles from low to high, which also means that in the exploration of the technology of the Golden Age, you have already entered the era of science and technology on your own than in the magical Middle Ages, we still have the advantage.
But this requires a lot of manpower and material resources, and it is simply impossible for Transylvania, which is now in the middle of a war, to do so.
The Black Plague is a problem that must be solved.
This is an area where we can cooperate, and in fact cooperation has already begun.”
“Wait!”
Sister Cement suddenly remembered something, she stood up, wrapped in a towel and looked at Murphy and Tris as she said:
“Me! Am I myself part of this ‘display of kindness’?”
“Oh? And how is that?”
Murphy and Tris looked at each other as he asked in a subtle tone, like a test waiting for an answer, while Sister Cement took a deep breath and said:
“If I die over there and come back to life over here, doesn’t that mean that you have the means to be able to bring someone who is going to die back to life? If they choose vampirism, they can even achieve immortality in this world!
Gosh, I can’t imagine how many people will go crazy once this news gets out.”
“Don’t worry, the process isn’t as easy as you think.”
Murphy shook his head as he heard an answer that satisfied him:
“As you noticed, even if you were to be revived here you would only be able to exist in the form of a psychic projection or a spiritual body like Feng’s, this can’t be talked about as a true sense of resurrection, at most it’s a means of consciousness transfer and preservation.
Until we find a way to give you real entities in this world, the future you fear will not happen.
But with the Creator’s level of black technology, I think it’s only a matter of time before we find a tool like that.
Of course, its not my problem, its yours.
If you want to do something for your homeland, if you want to help truly ‘resurrect’ yourself, then it’s time for you to start your own work as a player, Cement.
I would like to extend a welcome to you, I have been longing to form an organization that is willing to give everything for the good of Transylvania, I have named it ‘The Midnight Sons’ and I would like to see a minimum of twelve people in this organization.
But at present it seems that there are too few and too few exquisitely beautiful souls such as you and Feng and little Vikramana, so let’s not devise a numerical requirement for it.
Take your time.
Welcome to Transylvania, and welcome to the Midnight Sons, Cement Sealed Heart.
You have twenty days to take your time exploring this relic of the Creator, a period of acclimatization as well as a trial period, and the moment your body actually dies, you will complete a true resurrection as a foreigner in the Scarlet Fortress.
That’s when your career as a player really begins.
So, the treasure is here!
Take it.
Let’s see just how much your amazing intelligence can come up with!”
