A New Year’s Letter to Book Lovers
New Year’s Letter to Book Lovers
Rush, busy, busy, a year time is so over, every time near the New Year’s Day to look back and look again, there will always be a sense of unreality, this year is no exception.
Remember last year at this time, “the sword of dawn” has not been completed, the plot has come to an end, then every day when I open my eyes full of thoughts only “fill in which pit today”, “why this is still a pit”, “I originally Why did I dig this hole in the first place”, in the process of repeatedly retracing the plot and filling in the hole of the pain and happiness, day after day calculating when this story can be properly ended – and then to welcome their long-awaited vacation.
Subsequently, the holiday came, the pit-filler’s joy of successfully completing the book lasted for twenty-four hours – the next day when I opened my eyes, I learned a big happy news, the neighborhood closed.
So the holiday cat at home for two months, the third month for the new book began to adjust the state, organize the preliminary information as well as outline to write the manuscript, thinking that anyway, can not get out, do something serious.
So the new book was released on schedule, the pit-filler happily became a pit-digger again for the time being, and returned to the familiar daily rhythm of writing, and after the start of work, I got another great news – the epidemic has subsided for the time being, so I can go out and get high.
I couldn’t help but look at the keyboard in front of me and sigh, life is unpredictable.
But soon, the results of the new book washed away that little bit of regret, the vacation fizzled, as we all know, “Ashes of the Deep” on the shelves of the fire, and even broke the starting point of twenty-four hours of the first booking record.
For me, it was a glorious moment that I hadn’t even dared to think about in twelve years of writing books.
There are too many old readers who have accompanied me for so many years, as well as new readers who just met me supported me to usher in this moment, and now when I recall it, the numbers on the day of the shelves are still like a dream.
Then, the second half of the year was full of fun and excitement as I happily dug and filled holes every day, told a story I loved, watched readers grow to love the new friends this new story brought them, watched Duncan’s adventures on the infinite sea, and watched the hilarity of people speculating about the plot in the chapters-until the whole family went yang and disrupted the rhythm of life once again. disrupted the rhythm of life once more.
By now, he and his family have been cured, although a little relieved, but also had to temporarily endure the brain fog brought about by the trouble, sometimes writing things will suddenly think stuck, sometimes suddenly unable to focus on understanding the words on the screen, the most serious time, halfway through the writing and even suddenly forget that they are writing a book, cut an interface of the effort to get up and casually shut down the computer! …… Writing, which was already a breeze, suddenly became a slightly more difficult task.
Here to say a word, thanks to word’s auto-save function to save my manuscript life.jpg.
So I had to sigh again: life ah, always unpredictable.
By the way, I also feel another sentence: people ah, or the most important thing is to be healthy.
But anyway, things are slowly getting better.
The effects of the brain fog seem to be diminishing (hopefully not by mistake), there are more and more people on the streets outside, and the previously deserted shopping streets have recently regained a bit of their former bustle – perhaps it will take some time for everything to get back on track, but as long as we are still working hard, there is always something to look forward to in the future.
Looking back, a single chapter on New Year’s Eve doesn’t seem like it should say too much to make people feel heavy, so let’s move on to some wishes for the coming year (this time, it’s not poisoned milk).
It’s a new year, I hope we can all get better and better, I hope the country is at peace, I hope you all are well – I also hope that I can hurry to get back on my feet and do more double shifts.
I really hope that I can get back to double shifts as soon as possible – it’s the pre-book stage, and it’s so much fun to dig holes, so what author can say no to that?
So, let’s hold on to all the good expectations, to meet the next year!
