Chapter 914: Meeting

Chapter 901 The Meeting
Saul was eventually taken away by a taller and a shorter third-ranked sorcerer.

By the way, Byron was also brought along.

After agreeing to this hard request, the two third-order sorcerers became much more talkative.

They immediately took out a carriage that was a bit more prosperous than the one Saul was currently traveling in, and even the horse pulling the carriage was of the highest specification for the Judgment Court to receive guests.

It was just that Saul sat in the carriage and looked at the two third-order sorcerers guarding the outside of the carriage, knowing that this carriage was nothing more than a cage provided by them.

Because Saul and Byron were coming out from another exit of the Lordless Land, they didn’t have to pass through the Dwarf Valley again when they traveled to the Overdistance Teleportation Formation in Nefret, which was farther away but took about the same amount of time.

Three days later, the Pegasus carriage that Saul rode arrived at the continent of Nefret.

He and Byron stepped out of the carriage, and it was empty outside.

It seemed that they had already torn their faces off, and there wasn’t any false activity of nobles greeting them this time.

As soon as Saul and Byron got out of the carriage, they were transported to a small castle on a cliff by the sea.

“?”

“How can there be no shadows when there is light?” Byron whispered.

Immediately noticing Saul’s movement, Byron followed him and lowered his head, only to realize that after lighting the torches, he and Saul were all but shadowless!

The door had rotted in multiple places and the exposed breaks were black.

“……” Byron looked at the door on the ground and bowed his head in silence.

A great deal of dust rose up in the room.

Saul looked in through the gap and noticed dark shadows shifting.

The two walked through the not-so-long corridor and a black wooden folio door appeared in front of them.

He stepped forward and kicked the black door open.

In this castle that had been uninhabited for years, the lights suddenly came on, and surprisingly, it didn’t scare away any mosquitoes, insects, snakes or ants.

Saul and Byron walked in the corridor without the slightest light and lit a fire to light up the surrounding.

“There’s really no life at all here.” Saul withdrew his gaze and looked down at his feet, then suddenly stopped again.

But under the scanning of Sol’s spiritual power, he didn’t find any living creatures or spirits.

The walls of this castle were covered with green vines, and if it wasn’t on the Red Sea seashore, it should have attracted quite a few seabirds to roost.

Saul hurriedly turned back, and underneath the door panel was empty, no dead people or blood.

Saul put one hand on the other’s shoulder, “It’s okay, Senpai, they’ve imprisoned us here, do we still need to care about protecting the environment of the cage?”

As a result, Byron suddenly spoke, “You crushed a man.”

The long rotted wooden bolts on the door made a fragile snapping sound, and flapped violently inward along the door shaft, hitting the wall inside with a thud, and then completely snapping under the force of the rebound, the door shaft collapsed to the floor in a lopsided heap.

“Maybe the light is fake, maybe the shadows are fake, maybe the darkness is fake.” Saul said casually.

It was a pity that there were no animals or people here, even the lush branches and leaves out there seemed to have been painted on artificially, not full of life, only a stiff dead silence.

After sending Saul and Byron into the castle, two wizards, one tall and one short, guarded the doorway and did not follow them into it.

Saul, however, did not immediately contradict Byron, “You can see there is one.”

Byron was still staring at the door panel, “My mental body tells me there is nothing there, but my eyes tell me there is a woman with a broken head.”

But Saul’s eyes and mental body all told him there was nothing there.

“Elder, in your eyes, is there anyone else here?”

Byron shook his head, “It’s strange, I didn’t see anyone at first either, but immediately after this door collapsed, a body appeared underneath the door panel, and by the look of the wounds, it was smashed to death by the door panel just now.”

Saul waved his hand and pointed ahead, “Now in your eyes, is there anyone here?”

Byron slowly shook his head, “No.” Saul raised his hand and immediately flew out a soul blade.

The black broken blade flew away from Sol’s fingertips and did not enter the opposite wall, leaving a hole without making any sound.

However, Byron’s eyes slowly widened as if he had seen something incredible.

“Your sorcery …… just shot through a man’s head!”

“In what?” Saul immediately asked.

Byron immediately used his marking spell to mark a bright spot about five meters in front of the two.

“Right there, I marked it on the man’s forehead.”

However, when Saul looked over, it was still empty, with only gray and black square stone slabs that were still covered in dust.

“Which of the two of us is caught up in the illusion?” Thinking of the shifting black shadows he had seen through the doorway before entering the house, Saul clasped his arms.

“It should have been me.” Byron rubbed his eyes, “I still only see with my eyes.”

At that moment, a voice suddenly rang out, resounding and bringing up echoes in the spacious, but nothing but walls and floor, hall.

“I too wonder why you can’t see, Saul.”

It was Frim’s voice.

Surprisingly, he was waiting for them right here!

Saul’s eyes traveled around the hall. There were no windows in this hall, and the only source of light was the fireball in front of Byron and Saul.

The firelight flickered, alternating between bright and bright, but there were still no shadows in the room.

“Lord Frim, will you not step forward? I would love to discuss what you need me to see.”

“I’m already standing here.” The voice came from directly in front of him.

“Ah!” Byron looked directly ahead as well, with a look as if he actually saw someone.

Thor squinted his eyes and tried to observe the front with his semi-immersed meditation, but there was still no sign of anyone.

“You can’t see what you saw before, so naturally you can’t see me either.” Frim’s voice came again.

Saul slowly lowered his hand as he controlled a thread of fate extending from his fingertips and slowly swept it across the front.

It still yielded nothing.

“I know.” Saul said suddenly, “You do not exist in this room, you exist in the eyes of Senior Byron.”

Byron’s first reaction was to touch his eyeballs, but he clearly didn’t have any foreign body sensation.

Seeing Byron’s movements, Saul shook his head, “I just described it inaccurately, the only thing that exists in your eyes is the image of Lord Frim Court. That’s why only your eyes see it, while the rest of your body and mental body won’t feel it.”

Light, normally, could not be felt.

But it can be felt in other ways.

But Saul wasn’t in a hurry to see the other, and he could hear Frim anyway.

And it was probably a good thing he couldn’t see what Frim looked like.

“I don’t know why I can’t see you, would you like to take my eyes and study them?” Saul had a smile on his lips, and even though he couldn’t see Frim, his eyes stayed where Frim was supposed to be.

“I invited you here this time, and I don’t intend to study your sorcerous body modification formula for the time being.”

Sol frowned, “Then what do you need me to come over for? It’s not just to lock me up, is it?”

“Saul ……,” Frim’s voice sounded a little heavy, “I want you to help me, to help the Judgment Court, to help this world which is already on the verge of an apocalypse and is on the verge of faltering.”
