Chapter 908: Kira’s Plea for Help
Chapter 895: Kira’s Distress Letter
Disengaging from the Illusion Channel, Saul sat in the Sorcerer’s Tower in quiet contemplation.
He was wondering if he should go and secretly search for his mentor.
But he was worried that Frim would send someone to keep an eye on him. Once he left the land of no man, the other party would be able to confirm that the eye of the wind was just a false alarm, and would probably send someone to “invite” Saul back to Nefret immediately.
Saul could not leave, so he was thinking about who to send to find Mentor Golza.
If he could join hands with Tutor Golza and persuade Patriarch Glow, then it seems that Lord Frim of the Court of Judgement is not that scary.
Besides, Saul still possessed Frim’s hidden secrets.
The other party had secretly imprisoned Stuart’s soul, but concealed it from the Black Flame Emperor Aello.
If Ai Luo knew about this, he would surely understand that Flim had kept a hidden agenda for him as well.
Not to mention what Frim’s ultimate goal was, such a backhandedness and defense was ultimately disturbing.
Perhaps Emperor Ai Luo was willing to start a small cooperation with Splendor for the sake of him and the safety of the Black Yan Empire.
All of these means needed to be laid out slowly.
Korie had already made her attitude clear by explaining over and over again.
“Purely physical means of transmitting a coded message? That way isn’t very safe either, hasn’t she thought about what if the message is intercepted and doesn’t come out at all?”
The phrase was “The Spirit of Resurrection controls Kemah.”
Sol laughed bitterly, “Yura wants to take revenge on Mentor Golza? How could she possibly do that alone?”
Sol repeatedly confirmed the accuracy of the news.
“Kira?” Saul stood up in a hurry and walked over to Kori, taking the letterhead from her.
Just then, the door to Saul’s room was suddenly pushed open, and Korrie rushed in holding up a letter.
“Saul, I received a distress letter from Kira!”
Saul saw those two sentences and realized with a little thought that the Spirit of Resurrection was referring to Yura.
And the premise was that Saul could find a way to suppress Frim, the biggest threat.
“It is indeed possible.” Korrie’s shoulders slumped, “In order to prevent any magical fluctuations from being detected, there are many pitfalls to delivering a message in this purely physical way. I can only confirm that the person who came to deliver the message was one of Archduke Kira’s people and was not in a state of being controlled.”
The content of the letter was simple, only two sentences.
Other than his Golsa mentor, who else could bring a person back to life and still be held in such a grudge?
“At that time, Khema and Knuckles were fighting constantly, and things weren’t quite right with Lord Golthar. Archduke Kira then thought about how to hide important information from the wizards in case Khema was overrun one day. Then she arranged for her inner circle to become the most inconspicuous sweepers of the castle. They would clean the castle’s ground every night, and Grand Duke Kira and the others would leave specific traces on the ground if they had information to pass on.”
“Because we use non-magical ways to pass messages.”
Saul asked Kori, holding the letter, “Can we be sure that the source of the message is accurate? If a distress message can be delivered, why can’t there be a few more words?”
The second sentence reads, “She wants revenge.”
Kori tells Saul about the hidden pact between her and Archduke Kira.
Otherwise, no one else, not even the closest forces, would be willing to openly fight against Frim.
“I wonder if half a year is enough time.”
As for revenge?
Saul looked into Kori’s eyes, “You’re going, aren’t you?”
Kori bit her lip.
At this point in time, she should have been in the chaotic realm continuing her radiation experiments. Archduke Kira was in trouble, and so was Saul.
The only difference between the two, Saul could still stall for time now, but there was no telling what had become of Archduke Kira’s side.
Knowing that there was no other way, Archduke Kira would not have asked for her help.
“I …… “Kori made a decision, “I’ll go and take a look, if it’s a problem I can help with I’ll fix it as soon as I can and come back, if I can’t I’ll come back as soon as I can as well.” Sol, however, suddenly smiled, “Since you’re going, go ahead.”
He got up and went back to the lab bench, “But before you go, I’m going to plan who I’m going to have accompany you and see who can help in the past.”
Korrie rushed over to Saul, “You’re going to need people here now too, I’ll just go back by myself ……”
Saul raised his hand and rubbed Keri’s long hair that was glistening with metallic luster, “When I needed you for anything, you came to my aid without any hesitation, without asking for reasons or consequences. And now that you’re trying to save Kemah and Kira, of course I’m going to do my best to help you as well.”
Korrie was stunned this time, and she raised a hand to the top of her head, not quite naturally straightening the strands of her hair that had been rubbed by Saul.
Saul took out a pen and paper, organizing the information he had gotten so far, and without lifting his head, he said to Keri, “I can’t personally accompany you over there. If I go over there, instead of helping you, I’m afraid I’ll bring more trouble.”
He drew a simple map of the continent of Stout on the paper, and drew a few more special patterns, which were located in the Wall of Sighs in the far north, the Land of the Lordless, and the capital of the Duchy of Kemah.
Finally Saul drew a line on the paper with his pen, “Let Shaya accompany you!”
“Ugh?” Kori pondered for a moment before remembering who Shaya was, “Can he go over there? Doesn’t he still need to recuperate?”
Thor tapped his fingertips on the desktop, “He and I have a specially encrypted method of communication, he can pass on messages for you. Moreover, he has many detachments and is resistant to death. You’ll let him on if there’s danger.”
Letting the preoccupied Korie go back to prepare her luggage for departure, Saul once again opened the Phantom Channel and contacted Shia.
Shia was helpless, but could only agree.
Saul promised Shia, “If Yura wants to take power, she definitely can’t do it alone, and after this incident is resolved, there will be quite a few rebels that need to be cleaned up. These people can be handed over to you to deal with.”
The sound of Shia’s breathing became sharp.
“By the way there’s one more thing I want to give you, this matter is second only to protecting Korie in importance.”
[As long as you’re not asking me to die ……]
“Are you thinking that your value is too low, the kind of existence that can be discarded at the drop of a hat?”
[Uh …… that’s not true.]
Saul rolled his eyes in his mind and then told Shia what he needed Shia to do.
A million surprised emotions came from Shia’s side, but in the end, he didn’t reject Saul.
[Good! I’ll do it!
Cutting off the connection with Shia, Saul called out to Midori once again.
[Huh, Saul-sama, didn’t you just leave?]
Thor: “There’s been a change of plans, have you already told Royer about the method of the new experiment?”
[Ah, we’ve already told.]
“It’s okay, it’s going as planned, but you don’t have to let the experiment move too fast. Do you understand what I’m saying?”
There was silence on Midori’s side for a moment.
[It’s for me to play dumb, isn’t it?
Saul laughed, “Pretty much, anyway, don’t let the experiment succeed right away, drag them out. In a few days, I will go back.”
[Ugh? You’re coming back? But won’t you be locked up again if you come back?”]
“It’s not about going back right now. That’s why I need you to stall for time. Give them something sweet, but don’t solve the problem completely.”
[Okay! Saul-sama!
Although Midori was still clueless, she knew that it was fine to listen to Saul without having to think too much.
