Chapter 896: Regaining Freedom

Chapter 883: Regaining Freedom
After Aero left, Flim returned to the Lost Cloisters.

But instead of going to the Lost Cloister where Saul was, he went from the hollow area of the Cloister, and kept on sinking, and kept on sinking, and seemed to have come to the lowest space of the Lost Cloister.

Here, there is no square, right-angled cloister, only a small, four-square room.

In this room, there was a suspended golden silk thread.

Frim regained his human form in this tiny room and came to the front of the suspended golden silk thread.

He raised his hand and pressed it on one end of the silk thread.

The suspended silk thread did not shift because of his move, and remained fixed there, as if it was not subject to force.

Frim’s fingertips swept gently along the golden silk thread.

A name composed of golden dust popped up unexpectedly on the silk thread.

One by one, familiar and unfamiliar ……

And as Frim’s fingertip was about to move to the other end, the last name appeared.

Golza Glow.

After that, Frim’s fingertips slipped off the other end of the golden thread.

No new names appeared until he let go.

“Saul’s name, still not here.”

“Then, seeing as he still doesn’t appear to have a tendency to extinguish the world, let him go first.”

The next day, Saul recovered from his deep meditation, and when he opened his eyes, he realized that he was actually back in his temporary residence at the Eternal Night Palace.

Saul stood up and walked around to make sure he was back.

He sat up and looked down to see that his right arm was surprisingly back as well.

And it was the same arm that Frim had taken away for the experiment in the first place, not regrown through healing sorcery.

“This is not letting me cry foul?” Saul sneered in his heart.

He kept his arm and didn’t restore it, but he wanted to show the people of the Court of Judgment how their court master was envious of the enemy.

It seemed that even a conceited and proud man like Flimsy cared about superficial publicity!
Saul didn’t want to stay for long, quickly collected the experimental items in the room, and left with a cold face.

The main door pushed open, and both Leah and Xander’s guards were guarding the door.

“Lord Saul!” Leah stepped forward happily.

The other squire naturally didn’t dare to steal the chance to speak with the wizard.

“Leah, what happened that he was willing to let me out?” Saul pretended not to know.

Leah looked even more agitated than Saul who had just been released, “Lord Saul, news of a suspected eye of the storm has come from the Land of the Lordless, and you need to go back as soon as possible to deal with it.”

Leah then used her secret language technique to inform Saul, “But if the threat of the eye of the storm passes, Lord Frim Court may still let you return.”

Leah said it more euphemistically, it should actually be “catch you back”.

Saul understood the other party’s meaning in a second, and the expression on his face remained unchanged, “I’ll leave after meeting Xander and Midol.”

Saul walked down the steps and said to the attendant standing by, “Take me to see your emperor.”

Seeing Xander again after a month, the other party’s aura around him had changed quite a bit.

At the very least, it was more like an emperor compared to the original aggravated man.

His palace was at this time served by many guards and female officers, but from the fact that he still let the previous attendants go to find Sol, it was clear that none of these additional guards had gained his trust.

It had become lively around him, but none of them were his own people, and this felt more like being watched over.

It was up to Xander to choose between the false bustle and the real coldness. “Lord Saul.” Seeing Saul, Xander immediately stepped down from his high throne, his white cloak sweeping over the golden-carpeted steps.

Xander was flanked on both sides by maidens with pretty faces.

With lowered eyebrows and eyes, they looked respectful.

Saul said directly, “I’m going to see Midol, you come with me.”

Although Xander’s status and position had changed drastically in recent January, when facing Saul, he still seemed to be the original middle-aged man without a frame.

“Okay.” Xander waved his hand for the maids on either side to retreat, “I happen to want to talk to you about the recent situation of Midol.”

Saul grabbed Xander’s wrist and the two figures disappeared in an instant.

The people in the palace who were originally going to follow Saul and Xander were dumbfounded and panicked, and it was only when a court sorcerer’s messenger got the news that Saul and Alyxandrah had appeared together beside the Red Sea Midoire that the crowd quieted down.

They looked at each other in disbelief.

Previously, they had never seen Saul use the sorcery of instantaneous transfer within the Palace of Eternal Night, and they did not expect that the other party would not be the least bit evasive now.

What exactly happened during the month he disappeared?
The people who knew that Saul was imprisoned were ultimately a minority. Even Xander only thought that Saul had gone to participate in some hidden experiment, which was why he had only seen information but not people this month.

However, when Xander turned his eyes and realized that he was actually standing on the Red Sea with Saul, his heart still “thumped”.

“How did Lord Saul not avoid the people of the Court of Judgment at all and directly use the sorcery of instantaneous transfer?”

However, while Xander was puzzled in his heart, he didn’t say anything on the surface.

He pointed at the large black tree that was already like a vast curtain of clouds.

“Mithril has grown to this size now. But from the previous two days, the speed of her expansion has begun to slow down. At this rate, there are still five defense zones with no way to absorb the contamination from the Red Sea Tree.”

Saul landed on the roots of Midol’s tree with Xander from open Xander.

Immediately a soft black branch grew from the tree and held Xander by the waist, as if afraid he would fall into the Red Sea.

Saul nodded, the more Meadowlark showed that she cared about Xander the better. They became a community of interest and it would be beneficial to each other.

Saul crouched down to sense Midol’s growth state, mainly through the Symphony of Fate’s spells and fate lines.

Soon, he stood up, ”The main reason why Midol stopped growing horizontally is because her efficiency in absorbing pollution has peaked. Even if we connect more Red Sea Trees, we won’t be able to handle the internal pollution anymore.”

Xander wrestled with this for a while, “So do we need to make a second Midol?”

“Do you have a second sister?” Saul snickered as he looked down and touched Midol’s trunk.

Suddenly, it occurred to him that according to the state of the Inverted Tree, Midol should be head down and feet up right now.

Then wouldn’t what he was touching right now be Midol’s little butt?

Saul silently stood up and said to Xander, “There’s no rush now. Midol still has room to grow. There’s a special part of her body right now that grows by absorbing dead qi, and the dead qi in the pollution can as well, so given some time and energy, she’s perfectly capable of expanding herself to cover the entire coastline.”

Xander listened to Sol’s words with a great sense of relief. Although there would be a portion of the Red Sea Tree pollution that couldn’t be cleaned up like it was before Midol grew up completely. But this bit of difficulty the Ruling Court would surely find a way to solve it.

After all, even if there was no Midol appearing, the Ruling Court would not let the Red Sea Tree wither away, only that the solution might be much more brutal than it is now.

After looking after Midol and Xander, Saul saw Royer on the seashore.

After a month of recuperation, the other party’s body and soul state had gotten much better.

Royer walked forward, “I’ll send you back.”

When Sol saw Royer, the smile on his face was gone, “Aren’t you busy?”

“Ahem.” Royer faked two coughs, “I don’t want to be this busy either.”

He whispered to distinguish himself for his powerlessness.
