Chapter 282: Regretting It All

Chapter 282: Repentance
“Going home?” Lizlette froze at her words, and for the first time, she didn’t respond at all.

Nearly half a century of time had long since made her consider that Red Dragon camp in Katgana as her home.

And since the fall of Katgana, wherever there was David was her home.

In her memories, the relationship between herself and Davy was perhaps more like the kind of brother and sister who grew up in a nest.

Even if there was an occasional good feeling, it would soon be destroyed by all of David’s ‘asshole behavior’, until she somehow had Octavia’s child.
Hmm. Most of the time she still didn’t feel like a mother either.

It was only because David’s expression was too serious that Lizlette realized that the other party was referring to the home she had once called home.

And then those pieces of memory that had long been sealed away and forgotten emerged like dust swept up by an undercurrent.

At the same time, I don’t know if it was because these years had been too smooth and beautiful, so that when I recalled them now, they were even clearer than when I was a child:
At the top of the distant Ash Mountain Range, the strong red dragon mother was like a sleeping beast.

Although her mother was like most red dragons, arrogant, brutal, and irritable, she would at least bring back some prey she caught along the way when she went out to eat, and would even tease them with her tail in her spare time.

Even then, Lizlette was content.

This luck and stability of theirs was already considered rare amongst the red dragons.

That was why most of the memories from this early childhood were warm.

Until their mother brought back an articulate bard on one of her pillaging trips down the mountain, and made a trip out of the nest at the other’s slanderous expense, bringing back a magical secret treasure and plunging headlong into the depths of the lair.

Since then, they have been fed less and less by their mother, who has become more and more withdrawn, irritable and suspicious.

Fortunately, at that time, they were already approaching the juvenile stage, and already had the preliminary ability to cooperate and hunt on their own, and the volcano worms that were attracted by their mother’s majestic magical energy were able to fill most of their dietary gaps.

Later on, she wondered if it was for the same reason that her mother had not kicked them out of the nest even after they had reached the juvenile stage, which made her feel grateful for a while.

At least in her vast territory, they were less likely to encounter predators that could directly threaten them.

Large predators such as griffins, or other young pachyderms who made their own living in the wild, and the mountain barbarians who specialized in picking on them without their mothers’ protection.

Until that day.

“Why don’t we steal that magic secret treasure while mother is out hunting?” Brother suggested.

Perhaps then they would be able to regain the love and feeding from their mother.

The young red young dragons thought so naively.

Only Lizlette, who was the most timid at the time, refused due to her mother’s power.

She had thought that this would stop her brother and the others from this foolish impulse.

But when she returned to the lair with her teeth bared and a porcupine with a mouth full of spikes, what she saw was the bloody scene of blood flowing all over the ground.

She had thought that her mother would be furious about it, to the point of kicking them out of the lair.

But to this day, she still couldn’t believe that her mother would kill her children in cold blood.

If she hadn’t been out hunting that day, if she hadn’t lost her temper with a porcupine, if she hadn’t fled the first moment she witnessed the scene, if she hadn’t looked a little delirious.

Perhaps, she herself would have died long ago.

Died on the day the snow fell fifty-four years ago.

Even though this matter had long since passed, realizing that she had actually been able to face this dark and bloody memory openly and calmly, Lizlette was still not half happy:
“That place is no longer my home, do you have something to do with that female dragon? Her temper, not too good.”

She instinctively didn’t want David to meet her ‘brutal and ugly’ mother.

“Your mother, I suspect, may have come into contact with the Dragon Madness Labyrinth left behind by the ancient elves.”

As Davy spilled out his speculations on this.

“Dragon Madness . Labyrinth Lock?” Lizlette had never before connected the dots toward this unthinkable train of thought. After all, in the memories of the vast majority of gargoyles, the Dragon Frenzy Labyrinth Lock was closely associated with the Killing King’s Star, and descended with it on a cyclical basis.

And that was also in the Ferrum Continent in faraway Toriel.

But the memory of the Dragon Inheritance was right there, and at this moment, when David mentioned it like this, the pupils of Lizlette’s originally calm eyes grew wider and wider, and the more she thought about it, the more she felt like it.

Only the influence of the two, one swift and overbearing, one feminine and long.

Yes, even if a mother is out of her mind with anger, she wouldn’t personally tear apart the children she raised!
“Ah!!! Dammit! Damn High Elves!”

At that thought, Lizlette rolled on the ground with her head clutched in both paws in agony, fist-sized teardrops rolling down her face, feeling heartfelt anger and sorrow for her suffering childhood and her lost siblings.

Watching the side of the dragon father a burst of sighs, Alicia also revealed compassionate eyes.

The only one with a big heart was Davey who, after slapping Lizlette’s butt with his tail, smoked it instead:
“Hey, so my Ms. Lizlette, fly with me in order to verify this speculation? If it is true we, at least, will be able to save your mother.”

Meanwhile, defuse this unstable bomb, it would be a great injustice if the Killing Star’s descent caused this thing to act in resonance.

“I care if she dies!!!” Lizlette growled beyond words.

“Forget it then.” Davey said with a flick of his tail to lend a hand.

The furious Lizzie Litt instantly bounced in place, staring at the disinterested Davy with a grumpy face, feeling like she couldn’t count on the other party to cajole her 80% of the time:
“I’ll go! I’ll go!”

“Then don’t delay, lead the way, Ms. Lizlette.” Davy lifted his tail and pointed outward.

“Hmph!” The still-intentional Lizlette ran off in a huff, who let herself get a red dragon with a heart of steel for a mate.

Upon hearing that David, who had only just returned to Tokamak Fortress, was about to go out again, Attilicia, however, became a little worried:
“Would it be a bit presumptuous for us to go to Katgana now?”

After all, it is now a High Elf occupied area.

“It’s not us, it’s me and Lizlette going alone.”

“Huh?” Attilicia froze, knowing that previously they had almost always acted in concert as father and son, could it be that he resented him for dragging his feet again at this moment?
David is white father of the dragon a glance: “ah what ah, you have not thought, in case that thing is really a dragon crazy fan lock, you can resist? I don’t want to have to do a fight with your father and son who have bared their teeth in time. So even if it’s Liz Lit, I’m only going to let her lead the way.”

He who had once hardened himself against the King Killer Star naturally had no fear of a weakened version of a Dragon Frenzy Labyrinth Lock component, but that wasn’t necessarily the case for other dragons.

Seeming to see that Papa Dragon’s face was full of uneasiness, David added:
“There is no need to worry too much on the High Elf side, this should be an accident, probably even Devensel’s gang of elves are not too aware of its existence, or else this kind of sharp weapon would not have been left out until now.

“In addition, old dad, you can not forget, star singer Aelia need you to personally guard, electromagnetic turbulence operation algorithm need you to sit in the town to continue to optimize, the fortress also need to fool that group of blue dragons to keep running at all times, in the event that I can’t beat Lizzie Litt’s mother or fate is bad meet that group of elves, at any time have to use, so you stay in the fortress, on the contrary, it is more helpful to me. ”

Hearing David say that, Atilicia instantly accepted it much better, thinking about it seems to be that way, immediately nodded his head:
“Proceed with caution, and keep in touch.”

Davy flicked his tail to signal his understanding.

Immediately, he followed Lizlette’s scent and chased after her, and didn’t go far before twisting his head to look at Atilicia, who was following behind him.

Before he could say anything, Alicia took the initiative to lift her paw and picked up a sapphire necklace on her neck that was as bright as a dragon’s eye and shook it, saying:

“It was passed down from my ancestor, who had helped him carry the Dragon Madness in the Battle of Dragon Fall, so I think I should still be able to help a little bit. At least, it won’t drag you down no?”

‘Good stuff, tsk, worthy of being the rich white beauty of Dragon Island.’

David immediately hooked the tip of his tail, the tip signaling Alicia to follow.

Outside the fortress Lizzie Lit was able to calm down her complicated mind, originally thinking of coming with Davy’s two dragons for a period of double-dragon journey that only belonged to them, and even two wild battles to soothe her body and mind on the way.

As a result, when he heard the footsteps, he turned his head to show a bright smile and was ready to say something, when he saw that David brought Princess Alicia, a silver dragon, out together, in and out like a pair of bi-dragons.
“.” Lizlette immediately looked like a moody Paru, and ran away in a puff of smoke.

She shouldn’t have craved that suspicious piece of meat in the snow in the first place!
