Chapter 448: Knight, come to my room!

Chapter 448 – Knight, come to my room!
“That’s right, Ivars.”

Isabel suddenly thought of something and stood up from the piano, walking to the desk inside the bedroom.

It was originally Isabel’s second dresser for storing jewelry, and now it was converted into a small desk by her. It could be used to read a book every day before bed – one always had to be dressed when studying and dealing with politics within the study, but in the bedroom one could wear a nightgown.

She fished a file out of it and handed it to Ivas, who was slumped on the couch, “You forgot to give it to you when you came in yesterday …… This is what you asked Secretary Hermes to look into.”

“My sister …… Freya Moru Moriarty?”

Ivas murmured, straightening up slightly to bring the letter over.

This “sister” was thirty-one years old, younger than Edward and older than Aiwass and Yulia.

–A “sister” that neither he, Edward, nor Yulia had any memory of. Even Lily and the other servants in the house did not remember this person at all.

But Ivars asked Ligeia and the Great Guardian, and found that they both remembered Freya’s existence.

When Ivars thought that this was a special case for the Fifth Energetic Level, he went to ask his history tutor, Professor Bard, and Mycroft, and found that they actually knew Freya as well.

So Aiwas finally realized that something was wrong – only the Moriarty family had forgotten about Freya’s existence.

Or rather, it was the people living within the Moriarty Manor who had forgotten about her.

How this looked like traces of a conspiracy …… But the good thing was that Freya wasn’t dead, she was just studying abroad in the Teaching Country, and Aiwas would be able to see her soon.

Still, Aiwas asked Mycroft to help himself look into this matter when he had time.

And now this document is the result of Sherlock’s personal investigation of what he considers to be “someone smarter than him”.

However, Ivars did not open the letter directly in Isabel’s bedroom, but first received it in his arms.

“Are you free for a date today, Lulu?”

Ivas casually invited, “Let’s go out and play with Sherlock?”

Isabel, however, just laughed softly, “Can’t we just stay here? I could play the piano and sing for you. Or paint you a picture?”

It wasn’t as if he hadn’t had thoughts of going on a date with Isabel or something like that.

When the war first started, he was still nervous for a while. But after he had watched the war situation for a while and gradually realized that the situation was becoming clear, he relaxed.

Since then, even Edward and Yulia had rushed him several times.

Yulia’s persuasion was still relatively polite, while Edward’s criticism was relatively sharp-

“Do you want pure and naive girls to take the initiative to drag you out on a date? Or do you want Her Majesty, the Honorable Queen, to personally invite you out to play in public?”

Aywas was actually going to mouth off for a bit. But after thinking about it, he felt that his oldest brother was indeed right.

Although the two had now kissed, and even both families had gotten together for New Year’s ……, the two had yet to formally confess, much less engage in any more intimate behavior. It was just a strange tacit understanding to maintain this increasingly intimate and unspoken relationship.

Ivars is ready to go to the teaching country to further his education before pulling Isabel to play around in the glass island to make some memories.

Want to leave the Glass Island may be a bit suspenseful, after all, even if Minister Hermes can handle most of the official business, but Avalon can not really implement the monarch offline system …… The queen will still have to stay in the Glass Island in any case.

The reason why Ivars wanted to drag Isabel on a date was also simple.

Because he was more or less worried – when he went to the Church Kingdom, then this would have to be more or less a long-distance relationship, right?

He himself would have to stay in the territory of the Church Kingdom until the war was over. After that, he’d have to wait for the Fallen Divisions to descend and tear the Star Antimony royal family apart before he could presumably go back to Avalon to discuss the situation and appease the Queen and the people.

In other words, he couldn’t leave until the Fallen Divisions came.

Ivas wasn’t worried about Isabel moving on or anything. But Ivars was worried that if he was away for too long, the feelings that were slowly warming up now would fade when they cooled down.

While it was possible that the separation would make the longing stronger, it was also possible that they would just get used to each other not being around.

Both are progressing at a rapid pace these days. So when they see each other again, will they make each other feel strange?

–For the first time in these two lifetimes, Ivars had this worry.

It wasn’t that he was worried about Isabel’s safety, or whether she would be able to take care of herself.

Rather, it was worry about the faded color of who she was in her eyes, in her mind.

Even rationally, Ivars knew that this kind of worry was completely meaningless. Even childish and ridiculous …… But that kind of faint anxiety can never be completely smoothed out in the heart.

But that feeling was like “always wanting to make sure that the door to your house is closed” or “whether the gas valve is turned off”. Even if you know in your heart that there is no problem, such doubts will still hang in the corner of your heart and can not really be ignored.

And so Ivars realized–

Although he himself didn’t even realize, from when exactly …… he might have really moved.

But when Aiwasti made time, cleaned up properly and went to play with Isabel, he would be pulled by Isabel to talk about something he hadn’t talked about before, allowing Aiwasti to give his opinion on something. Then it naturally turned into teaching again ……

Before, Aiwas hadn’t even realized that he was actually such a good teacher!

Whenever the chatting came to an end, it was already getting late. There was no time to go out on a date or play or anything.

The latest time was last night.

Isabel had dragged Ivars to discuss the Iris people’s party and democracy – she had seriously considered whether or not to implement a constitutional monarchy within Avalon. That day, they talked directly until eleven o’clock at night, and even ran to the study to go through diplomatic letters and various intelligence documents while they were talking.

If they said it was casual conversation, the topic was too formal and serious; but if they said it was work, they didn’t achieve any meaningful results in the end–because at some point, the topic veered to the Iris nobility, then to the great artists of Iris, and ultimately to the Iris people’s opera.

Isabel even made up her mind last night that she would go to Iris one day to hear “the best opera in the world.”…… If she had the chance, she would like to go on stage and perform or sing a part herself.

And when she did, she wanted Iris to sit down and listen, and to sit in the first row – because the audience in the first row could come up to the stage and lay flowers during the intermission and at the end of the show.

The two just chatted aimlessly like that, and the time was consumed. By the time Ivars went back to his room to shower and take his medication, it was the latter part of the night.

…… Without realizing it, the day was consumed like this again!
The good thing was that Isabel did get a boost from every conversation, so it wasn’t a waste.

She is very smart, learning ability is also very strong, learned things will not easily forget. Especially since she was a “generalist”, her learning ability was further strengthened. This made Ivars feel very pleased – after all, the experience of teaching a smart student was completely different from teaching an idiot.

The former was relaxing and enjoyable, while the latter could cure low blood pressure.

But today, Aiwarth finally couldn’t help but ask this question, “Say, Lulu, why don’t you want to go out and play?”

“Why would I want to go out?”

Isabel asked in return.

“…… Could it be that you’re the type that likes to stay in your room?”

Ivars asked with some curiosity as he stroked his chin.

But he always had a feeling that Isabel wasn’t the type of nerdy girl – before, Isabel had stayed in the Temple of Silver and Tin, and that was because she had become self-absorbed due to fear and stress. Now that Isabel had become cheerful and confident …… Aiwas wanted to take Isabel to places that she hadn’t had the chance to go to before, or didn’t dare to go to alone.

“That’s not true ……”

Isabel stretched out in front of the window as well, squinting her eyes to soak up the sunlight, and casually replied back, “If that’s the case, I definitely wouldn’t want to go over to Iris’ side to see the theater. And didn’t we go out for New Year’s.”

“And why was that, exactly?”

Ivars rarely wanted to break the mold, “Is it because of the shadow left by the chimera thing?”

Hearing this, Isabelle suddenly realized how serious Aywas was and looked back with some surprise and some amusement.

She arched her eyebrows and looked at Ayworth, her eyes shining brightly like jade under the sun.

For the first time, Ivars felt that he had been seen through by Isabelle –

Before this, it was always him who saw through Isabel’s thoughts.

She came over with a hopping step, and came up to Ivas, not at all like a queen, or even younger than when she was a princess.

Like a gentleman inviting a lady to dance, Isabel bowed gracefully and offered her right hand to Ivars.

Ivars reached out and took her hand – but Isabel pushed a little too hard, and not only did she not pull Ivars up from the sofa, but Ivars pulled her directly into his arms.

She laughed and hilariously grabbed Ivars by the collar and lightly hammered his shoulder twice. Afterwards, she sat directly on Ivars’ lap, and her right hand rhythmically pinched Ivars’ left earlobe, as if she was playing a light song.

“If dating is about developing feelings and understanding …… then we are dating every day.”

Isabel said so, glancing at the two Queen’s close guards in the room who always remained silent.

She came close to Aiwarth’s ear and said in a voice that most of them could hear as well, in a quiet voice, “I would prefer to leave Mr. Fox’s scent in the house than to go outside ……”

Aiwas felt a slight tickle in her ear, and fell back on her heels.

It dawned on him that Isabel, in a sense, was actually thinking the same thing as him!

It’s just that rather than going out to play and making new memories, she was more interested in replacing the slightly gray memories of her childhood with Aiwas’s memories ……

As she watched Ivars’ face redden a little, Isabelle directly fell on top of Ivars and pressed him completely onto the couch.

“When are you leaving?” She asked in a small voice.

“…… sixteen?”

Ivars asked tentatively, “At least until our round of promotion ceremonies is over. Of course, it could be changed …… I haven’t set a time yet.”

“Let’s do it on the seventeenth,” Isabel dryly changed the time for Aywas, “I’ll book your trip.”

She came over and gazed into Aywas’s eyes, word for word, “And come …… to my room the night …… of the sixteenth, the day before you leave.”

“…… You said that?”

Ivas asked rhetorically, raising an eyebrow.

Not only was he not as shy as Isabel had expected, but he was in high spirits instead.

“–I said it!”

Isabel’s face was also a little scarlet, but she still said firmly, “I order you in the name of the Queen, Secretary Moriarty! Come to my room …… on the night of the sixteenth!”

She had blushed from her cheeks to her neck before she could get the rest of the unspoken words out after all.

And the corners of Ivars mouth turned up slightly.

He backhanded Isabel and hugged her hard, feeling a faint sense of reassurance.

“As you wish, my honorable queen-sama.”

He responded in Isabel’s ear.

The two embraced quietly, like cats cowering on a couch. Like they were waiting for the spring sunlight to gradually creep up the couch and cover them like light snow.

— There really didn’t seem to be a need to play with Sherlock either, Ivas thought to himself.
