Chapter 823 – Xander’s Request

Chapter 823 – Xander’s Request

Xander was actually able to send someone over to request him?
Saul pondered, “Looks like Xander isn’t all a puppet here.”

Kate, who was flicking her tail in the water tank on the side, suddenly came out from underwater, “Take me with you.”

Floco took over Kate’s body again.

Saul nodded, but in his heart, he thought that he must get Kate out of the mermaid’s body when this matter passed.

Floco was coming over a little too often, which was taking a toll on Kate both physically and mentally.

This soul that could easily adapt to the bodies of various species, Saul didn’t want him to break down so quickly just yet.

Bringing the mermaid with him, he cloaked him and then led him straight away with a floatation spell.

This time, taking the carriage to the palace where Xander lived, Saul finally got to know the neighborhood.

Neverwinter Nights’ royal palace was not known for its splendor, but the palace was very tall and the roads were wide. It was as if only such majestic buildings could reflect the royal family’s esteemed status.

The palace where Sol temporarily resided was in the northwest corner of this royal palace building, while the Emperor of Eternal Night’s palace was in the southwest corner.

It was very obvious that neither Sol nor Xander was the political center of Neverwinter Nights.

Getting off the carriage and walking in through the arched gate in the center under the guidance of the attendants, Saul looked up and saw only a vaulted gallery.

“Through the porch is the palace room where His Majesty is located, and for the rest of the way, I’ll ask Lord Saul to go there on his own.”

The attendant bowed respectfully and then retreated to the carriage, “I will wait for you here.”

Sol led the mermaid, like a balloon, into the portico.

There were no servants in sight around, and Saul’s footsteps echoed in the spacious porch.

Perhaps the sound of the footsteps startled the people inside, and before Saul raised his hand to push the door, the gate of the palace was pulled inward by a small slit.

The one who opened the door was surprisingly the Eternal Night Emperor himself.

It was dark inside the door, with only a beam of yellow candlelight shining through.

The Emperor of Nefret’s largest empire, Neverwinter Nights, Alyxandrah, dressed in a white ruffled-necked waistless robe and holding a brass candlestick, stood inside the door and smiled at Sol.

“Lord Sol, it’s been a long time.”

Xander opened the doorway a bit to facilitate Saul’s entry.

Saul followed Xander in and realized that the palace inside was exactly where Alfonso had brought him last time.

However, today this palace was dark inside, with only candle lamps lit at the four corners, barely reaching the point where a person would not fall down when walking in it.

Xander walked ahead, knowing that Saul didn’t need his candle lights to illuminate him.

“Let’s go to the inside room, it’s not usually used here outside.”

Saul followed Xander, “Aren’t you the Emperor of Neverwinter Nights? Not even a pretty little maid around?”

Xander turned around and smiled, his face waxy like a dry corpse in the dim candlelight.

“Lord Saul, you don’t know that I also only have the name of Emperor. I’ve been without an heir for the past few years, and both the Court of Judgment and several of the nobles of Neverwinter Nights can’t wait for a new emperor.”

He glanced at the mermaid Sol was holding.

“As soon as the mermaid royal bloodline they’re holding right now can complete a fusion with one more person, my head will immediately be cut off by them and used as a wine glass for the new emperor.”

As they spoke, the two came to a small door, Xander pushed it open, and a soft yellow light instantly shone from within.

Perhaps it was the increased brightness, Xander’s face looked much better. They walked into the small room. Compared to the large palace next to it, this was like a servant’s room.

But it was much more furnished and looked more cozy. There was also a standing bed with a tent on all sides.

Xander put the candlestick on a small table and turned to Sol, “Lord Sol, I would like to make a deal with you.”

Saul knew that Xander couldn’t have come to him just to catch up, “Tell me about it.”

“Can you help me have an heir?” Xander asked with a serious face.

“Ahem.” Saul couldn’t help but cough twice, “Although I call myself a healer, your question …… is outside of my capabilities. It’s easy to have an heir, but the people of the Court of Judgment and Evernight want children who have inherited the mermaid bloodline. But I checked, the mermaid bloodline in your body can no longer be divided. And the mermaid bloodline in you must also be attuned to a specific spirit body. This makes bloodline inheritance even more difficult.”

If it was a simple bloodline implantation, the Judgment Court could easily do it. But for the mermaid royal bloodline to be able to control the mermaids living under the Red Sea Tree, it would still require a specific spiritual body.

Spiritual bodies could not be transformed and could only be found in the vast sea of people.

This was why even as powerful as the Judgment Court, it had not been able to find a replacement for Xander. In the end, it could only activate a new mermaid royal bloodline and try to rediscover a spiritual body that matched the new bloodline.

Xander had a determined look on his face, “I know. If you don’t have a real heir, you can create a fake one.”

Saul immediately reminded him, “Even I’m not sure I can fool the people of the Court of Judgment, especially Court Master Frim.”

Xander suddenly took a step forward and moved closer to Saul, tilting his head so that Saul could see his eyes more clearly.

“Though a false scion, it is also a true bloodline possessor.”

A blue butterfly flew out of the corner of Xander’s eye and fluttered in his eyeball.

“This?” Saul was surprised to find a separate spirit body inside Xander’s eyes.

“This is my sister, Midol. You were the one who saved her from the icy bottom of the ocean in the first place.” Xander said, “This is the spiritual body of my future heir.”

He took a step back as the butterflies disappeared, then turned to the back under the bed and pulled out a huge wicker box.

He didn’t open the crate, but Saul already knew what was inside.

“Here are the bones of Midol, and the second copy of the mermaid royal bloodline.” Xander stroked the chest, his face heavy, “Actually, in terms of bloodline concentration, Mido’er is higher than me, and that’s why she was able to protect me on the great sea.”

Saul stroked his chin.

Xander’s bloodline was already indivisible, and the probability of his heir inheriting the mermaid royal bloodline was also very low. However, if the bloodline in Midol’s spirit body and corpse bones were used, there was indeed a high probability that another Eternal Night Emperor could be created, even with a higher concentration of bloodline than Xander’s.

But there was a very big hidden danger in doing this.

“You do realize that the Court of Judgment doesn’t allow the resurrection of sorcerers below the Second Order, right? Not to mention that Midori was just an ordinary person at the time of her death.”

Xander was a little nervous, in his knowledge, the only person who could do this without the Ruling Court’s knowledge was Saul.

“I know, but Midol is in a very special state right now. And …… I can use a sorcery prop handed down from the ancient times as a reward for asking you to risk your life.”

Saul’s need for sorcery props now wasn’t as much as it used to be.

His own ability and the ability of the thread of fate were enough to kill many powerful sorcery props in seconds.

However, if there were sorcery props as rare and special as the Chaotic Domain Compass, it wasn’t like Saul couldn’t consider Xander’s claim.

“What is it?”

“It’s a soul fixing needle. What it does is very simple. It allows you to recover immediately after complete alienation!”
