Chapter 753 – Lucky Legend

Chapter 753 – Lucky Legend
Saul waited in line for another half an hour before it was finally his turn to airboat.

It was really his first time lining up for an airboat.

In the past, when he had Golza Mentor’s quota, the airboats had come over to pick him up in a special detour.

It was one step from the Sorcerer’s Tower to the Airboat’s VIP room.

This time, Saul wasn’t in a hurry and brought a box of books and notes, intending to work hard on the airboat and make up for his missing basics again.

The luggage inspection before boarding the airship was very meticulous. Even the suitcases had to be opened and checked one by one.

Saul used the time he took to open the suitcase to stuff two sets of change of clothes in.

Otherwise it would be strange to think that an ordinary person who didn’t seem to be rich would have to live on an airship for a month with only a suitcase of books, paper and pens.

After passing the inspection, the woman in charge of checking him showed some genuine smiles.

“You are a scholar, right? I’ll help you arrange a quiet room as much as possible. I wonder if you would like to stay at the end of the corridor? It will be a bit more clean there.”

“That’s very much appreciated.” Saul nodded repeatedly.

Finally boarding the deck, Saul found a place to stand not far from the entrance.

There were usually no wizards on this airship, so the fare was the cheapest of the several airships nearby.

The fact that there were wizards on the airship was actually a form of security.

As long as they didn’t encounter sorcerer battles, even if something did go wrong with the airship, someone would be able to remedy the situation in the first place.

And the official forces of the three continents had emphasized that sorcerers were not allowed to destroy the running airships. It was also considered to be an institutional guarantee for the safety of the passengers.

Saul saw that Mike, who had just spoken to him, had also boarded the airship.

“This is my room number, I’ve been in after dinner, if you wish to be favored by luck as well, remember to come over, I can treat you to a bit of wine.”

Saul nodded with a smile.

It wasn’t that he was deliberately waiting for Mike here, but he sensed magic fluctuations on the deck.

It was just that the fluctuation was small, and it felt like it should be that of an apprentice wizard.

But Saul didn’t sense anyone among the passengers who was a sorcerer’s apprentice.

There was an airship attendant who saw that the plainly dressed Saul had been standing near the deck fence and went up to greet him with some caution.

“Oh, I’m fine, just looking at the scenery.” Saul waved his hand, signaling that he would not jump from here.

The attendant still followed Saul, “Then let me send you back to your room, after all, when the airship takes off in a while, the passengers are not allowed to stay on the deck.”

Saul nodded and kicked the orange cat at his feet, picking up the huge suitcase and heading for the cabin.

After taking two steps, he turned back to the attendant who was still following him and said, “Excuse me, is there a sorcerer lord on this airship?”

“There is no sorcerer lord. But there is a sorcerer apprentice lord on the airship who accompanies the ship, he just won’t see outsiders easily.”

Sol nodded.

It seemed that the faint magic power fluctuation he had just felt came from this sorcerer apprentice who accompanied the ship.

After dinner, Saul was still reading in his room.

On the contrary, the orange cat Kate on the side was tying a napkin like a human, holding a knife and fork in her hand, and was eating the meat steak and vegetable soup that Saul hadn’t touched.

“Lord Saul, do you intend to go and listen to the repayment of the cat called Mike who said that?” Kate asked as if offhandedly.

Saul’s gaze remained on the pages of the book in his hand, “Why, do you want to learn how to repay kindness as well?”

Kate was now the equivalent of Saul’s captive.

At first, he was always thinking of running, but after realizing that Saul was the new master of the current Masterless Land, he honestly followed Saul’s side.

As a sorcerer who turned into a cat, he needed a backer like Saul, who was powerful and could cure spiritual pollution, too much.

And Saul was also curious about Cat’s state, so he kept bringing him around to study him.

The book he was reading at this time was also a study related to soul transfer.

He wanted to try to see if he could transfer Kate’s soul into a human body without the power of the diary. Kate always felt a chill down her spine when she looked at the book in Saul’s hand.

He moved his butt and his tail behind him flicked unconsciously, “I am a bit curious, after all, your lordship said this term in the first place. I think it must not be simple.”

Thor rested the tome against his chin, thinking about whether or not to tell Kate that the cat’s retribution was in fact just a joke he had told.

After a moment, Saul explained nothing and placed the book on the table.

“Well, I’ll go and see what I can find out then, maybe I can find something interesting from a commoner.”

When Kate heard that, a smile appeared on her face, and a long scarlet tongue suddenly stuck out from the kitten’s mouth, which could be a meter long, and swept and rolled on the table, before emptying all the food on it.

The orange cat then jumped down and walked to Saul on two legs, “I’m done eating, Lord Saul, let me accompany you.”

Saul looked down at Kate, who still had her napkin tied, “It’s fine to let you tag along, but I’m taking a cat with me, not ……”

Kate understood in a second, and with a lowered head and a stomp of her front paws, she ripped the napkin off her neck.

He then landed on all fours and looked up with a meow.

Saul smiled in satisfaction and pushed the door open to walk out.

The orange cat followed lightly behind him.

The two went up a flight of stairs and found the room where Mike was in the middle of this floor.

“Duk-duk-duk.”

Saul knocked gently on the door.

After a moment, the sound of steady footsteps came and Maite opened the door from the inside.

As soon as he saw Saul, a smile appeared on his face, “Coming over in such a hurry? I haven’t finished dinner yet.”

He still had his napkin around his neck, in keeping with the image of the orange cat just now, as if Saul’s arrival had interrupted his meal just in time.

Saul said nothing, gazing past Mike to the dinner that had long since ceased to be warm on his table.

“Ahem …… Come on in since you’re here, I don’t really eat much at night.” Mike coughed lightly twice and hastily moved out of the way.

Only then did Saul walk in.

The orange cat also came through the door the moment it closed.

Mike put down his knife and fork, tugged off the loose napkin around his neck, and probed the hallway to see that no one was in the hallway before closing the door behind him.

A look of mystery.

“Saul, honestly, I’m only giving you a chance to get lucky because I see that it’s hard for you to come out on your own at such a young age. Otherwise, this bit of luck is a bit insufficient for me to use alone.”

“What exactly is it? Why is luck even shared? And what exactly is the cat’s retribution you mentioned?”

Mike smiled mysteriously, his head bobbing along, “I know in your mind you don’t believe me ninety percent of the time when you come over here this time, and ten percent of the time you’re just taking your chances.”

He walked over to the bed and took out a palm-sized package wrapped tightly in cloth from underneath the layers of bedding.

“But it doesn’t matter if you don’t believe me, I can make you believe now. This is a world with magic, and it’s not surprising that any magical props appear in this world.”

Mike said as he unwrapped his tightly wrapped package.

After unsealing the layers, a white ceramic kitten appeared in front of Saul and Kate.

The ceramic kitten was roughly made, all white, with only one pair of eyes, colored red with rough pigments.

In line with its ordinary appearance, Saul did not find a single bit of magic or spiritual power fluctuation on it.

Mike, on the other hand, was still proudly introducing his treasure.

“This is the cat’s reward. Possessing it, you will become incredibly lucky, and whatever your heart desires can be accomplished.”

“Uh …… meow?”

Kate nearly sputtered.
