Chapter 627 – Killing Rats

Chapter 627 Killing the Rat

The giant rat was just a flash of light, and Saul was still staring at the reappearing black woman.

“It seems you are not the true owner of this world either.”

The third-ranked sorcerer had already entered the old manor, and now, probably attracted by the commotion overhead, had gone to the upper level of the manor.

“Then it’s useless.”

Saul finished, pretending to leave.

“Wait, you can’t leave, you’re my toy.” The woman said reaching for Sol.

Saul twisted his body violently, dodging the witch’s hand, then he saw that the witch already had a scowl on her face, and her whole body violently became bigger, as if a giant net was covering Saul.

Saul raised his hand to block, and a shield glowing with electricity had already enveloped around him.

The blinding light brought by the electric light protection immediately made the witch cover her eyes and retreat.

Saul turned around and chased after her, gathering a black blade in his palm, immediately stabbing at the witch whose figure had shrunk.

The witch’s eyes hadn’t recovered yet, and she subconsciously dodged towards the ground.

However, Saul’s black blade made a hard turn at a distance of half a meter from the witch, and even shot towards an empty corner.

The black sharp blade also suddenly disappeared in mid-air, followed by a piercing scream.

“Squeak-“

“Sure enough, it’s a big rat.” Sol immediately abandoned the stains in the place and attacked towards the corner of the room according to the scene he had just seen.

The will of the place blurred the direction of orientation, even preventing Sol from sensing the interior arrangement of the room, but it couldn’t really make life disappear.

A handful of blood gushed out of the air, and then the images around them began to change as if they were fading.

Saul immediately felt the gravity on his body change.

He fell halfway down and immediately took flight, then turned his head and feet upside down and saw that the entire room was exactly the same as the room he had just seen in the flashback.

Only the top and bottom were upside down.

And where Saul had just attacked, a huge, almost capable of swallowing three adults rat rapidly grew larger in view and opened its bloody mouth at Saul.

“Whoosh–“

Black tentacles suddenly popped out from behind Saul and plunged right down the rat’s foul-smelling throat.

However, just as the algae was about to pierce through the rat, five or six arms suddenly stretched out from the rat’s throat, surprisingly grabbing hold of the algae and pulling it with great force, as if it wanted to rip it right off.

And the giant rat also violently closed its upper and lower jaws at this moment, wanting to use its sharp teeth to directly cut off the black tentacles.

Saul immediately shot out and grabbed the giant rat’s upper and lower jaws respectively, hardening its mouth to stop in mid-air, unable to close it again.

However, before Saul could hold the giant rat’s mouth open, he saw several arms whose skin had corroded to reveal black bones protruding from the other party’s mouth once again.

“This rat doesn’t know how many sorcerers it has eaten by utilizing spatial dislocation. And I’m afraid the degree of alienation is no less than the witch just now.”

Saul quickly glanced up and realized that the stain on the ceiling was peaceful and quiet, with no intention of helping the giant rat attack him along.

The sharp black blade coalesced around Saul once more, sliding like broken glass towards the arm in the rat’s mouth.

“Pfft!”

“Pfft!”

The sharp blade sliced through both arms and continued forward, severing all the arms that bound Komo.

Xiao Zao, who had regained his freedom, did not retreat, and while he was able to move, his rounded head instantly drew long and became pointed.

Silently stabbing into the back of the giant rat’s head.

“Squeak–“

The giant rat immediately let out a sharp cry, and the entire rat struggled in pain.

And with its scream, Saul surprisingly realized that the gravitational force in the room seemed to be changing again.

The sky and the ground were as if they had switched directions.

If they entered the false space again, the giant rats were afraid that they would take advantage of the situation and leave, only to wait for them to die due to the contamination of the place before coming over to nibble on their corpses.

It was surprising that this rat could survive by consuming alienated corpses, and I’m afraid that it has also become part of this old manor. “Going to use the battlefield of consciousness?”

Using the Battlefield of Consciousness was a means that could quickly resolve the giant rat, but Saul had hidden something in his consciousness, fearing that the slightest move would allow some being with a very powerful consciousness to discover his abnormality.

“No!”

Saul gritted his teeth to control his urge to use his bottom card, and then violently probed the upper half of his soul out of his physical body before the image of the entire room was once again engulfed by the otherworldly space, with only the lower half of his body still connected.

Just then, the air rippled again, and the space that was originally being transformed stopped once again.

“Well, by the way, there are a total of three third ranks out there.” The out-of-body soul of Saul revealed a surprised smile.

The giant rat seemed to have sensed the change in Saul, and a few more points of fear were added to its shrill cries.

Several overlapping black shadows also surfaced on the surface of the rat’s body.

Those black shadows looked like agonized humans struggling hard to move outward.

Saul watched those black shadows expressionlessly as dozens of tentacles with the same suction cups and sharp teeth gradually grew out of the soul body’s half, wrapping the giant rat in its entirety.

After a moment passed, Saul’s soul body returned.

His body descended once again and stepped on an overturned table.

The change in space finally stopped, and not only that, the change seemed to have extended outward from this room as well.

“Pah!”

The small algae returned, and the giant rat’s body fell to the floor, having been transformed into an irregular rat skin.

Algae moves closer to Sol and opens it’s shark-toothed mouth.

A monocle falls out.

“Isn’t that the blue-haired wizard’s eye? I can’t believe he’s already been eaten by rats?”

Saul didn’t know what had happened to the blue-haired wizard, he just didn’t expect that when he saw him again, the other party would be left with just one relic.

While Algae flipped open the giant rat’s stomach, Saul found the source of contamination in the other party’s corrupted soul.

With his experience in helping others heal during this period of time, he was basically sure that this source of contamination was exactly what the giant rat could rely on to devour the corpses of other wizards.

However, this source of contamination was not the eye of the wind.

Its ability to hold all sorts of pollution was completely different from the characteristics of the eye of the wind described by Pei’er.

“This rat isn’t the eye of the wind either. Then is the eye of the wind still the place where the chaotic radiation fluctuations just came from?”

Sol felt a little strange.

The eye of the wind was surprisingly not in the body of the dominant person in the Old Day Manor, could it be that the mutation in the Old Day Manor actually had nothing to do with the eye of the wind?
The giant rats died, the space was restored, and the disorganization was no longer there.

The ground full of corpses that had been gnawed and pitted suddenly began to decay at an accelerated rate, making it impossible to recognize who these people originally were.

At the same time, it was as if some sort of confinement and boundary had been broken.

A blast of sorcerous impacts suddenly came in down the rotating staircase.

Surprisingly, it was not far from Saul’s location.

And until the space was restored, he hadn’t sensed anyone else around him in the slightest.

Saul was just about to rush out of the room when he looked up and saw the black stain above his head.

It was like black mold there that had grown from years of moisture and seepage.

It was quiet and unobtrusive.

Thor pranced up to the stain.

“Are you …… still here?”

Although there were many mutilated corpses lying at his feet, this stain was the only one that vaguely had spiritual fluctuations coming from it.

Saul suddenly realized that although the one controlling the spatial changes of this manor might be the giant rat he killed, the story of this manor owner might not be false.
