Chapter 506 – Exile’s Pupil

Chapter 506 – Exile’s Pupil

Marsh struggled to control the horse.

Horses used by sorcerers were different from ordinary horses, and their tolerance to radiation was purposely strengthened during the mating and breeding process.

But such a horse couldn’t last long against the evil spirits and contamination.

Marsh himself was getting harder and harder as he laughed, and the mushrooms on top of his head were beginning to wilt.

It was all he could do to pick up speed, not even caring if he would crush the human faces emerging from the ground.

Saul sat in the car, the small algae on his body already crawling all over the interior of the compartment.

He listened to the laughter around him grow louder and louder before being thrown back behind the wagon.

Saul peeked out of the window and saw that the road ahead was gone from the grotto, while the road behind him left a trail of laughter.

By the time the laughter was also left behind, the nervous Zo and Marsh were gradually returning to normal.

It wasn’t long before a huge fissure appeared in the mountain wall to their right, as if someone had used an axe down the middle of the mountain, all the way to the ground.

The fissure went deep into the mountain, and inside it was so deep that no shape could be seen. But when the carriage passed by, Saul felt a strong fluctuation of spiritual power from within.

It was feared that there were a large number of evil spirits entangled inside, and they were not on the same level as the ones he had just seen on the road.

Morton: [Master, you can’t go in.]

Thor nods slightly and instructs Marsh to pass through here quickly.

But as he passed by the rift, Saul still looked inside the rift.

He didn’t rashly use his meditation method this time, but instead used his naked eyes to observe the scene near the rift.

He took out paper and wrote down what he observed.

There were clearly a large number of evil spirits inside this rift, but these evil spirits were shrinking in the deepest part.

It was unknown what bound them.

The carriage once again left the chasm behind.

Along the way down, Saul passed a few more obvious anomalies. But with Morton’s tips, they always managed to bypass the most dangerous places.

“Almost to the exit of the Masterless Land.” Saul emerged from the wagon and stood on the frame beside Marsh.

Marsh had been so nervous all the way there that he couldn’t make a sound now that he opened his mouth, and could only nod heavily.

Agu: [The Land of the Unknown is a place where there is no uniform order. The rules of survival here are complicated. Here, a full-fledged sorcerer may be in mortal danger, while some special ordinary people may live well].

Morton: [In short, after entering the Land of the Masterless, master, no matter what you see, don’t rush to get close to it, it’s best to go through the observation and understand the rules of it before making any plans].

“Observe and then find the pattern?” Sol memorized the reminders from the two.

Subsequently, the mountains on both sides of the canyon suddenly disappeared, and were cut in half like tofu blocks.

Saul’s carriage finally drove out of the Drooping Hand Valley and entered a new world.

“This is ……” Saul originally stood on the frame of the carriage as a precaution against danger. But he didn’t expect this place to be an open grassland.

Green grass and a gentle breeze.

The sunlight that was originally blocked by the mountain walls on both sides of the Drooping Hand Valley also poured down recklessly.

“Is this the Land of the Lordless?” Saul always felt that there was something wrong.

He squinted his eyes and peered closer, the grass and trees on the ground swayed gently, there was nothing unusual.

But when Saul looked into the distance, he saw some blurring at the junction of the grassland and the blue sky.

He carefully released his mental body and spread it out a little along the ground. But the feedback he received was not abnormal. “The nearby area is fine, but it’s not necessarily the case in the distance. It’s still unclear where the junction between normal and abnormal is.”

“My lord?” Marsh felt relieved to be out of the spooky Hanging Hands Valley and to see the beauty in front of him, and he looked sideways at Sol, wondering where to go next.

“Wait for me here for now, don’t run around, and if anything unusual happens, you’ll retreat to the interior of the Valley of the Drooping Hand.”

“Huh?” Marsh obviously felt that the Valley of the Drooping Hand was much scarier than this place, but he obeyed, and despite still having fear of the Valley of the Drooping Hand inside, he nodded, “Understood, my lord.”

Saul jumped off the wagon, thought for a moment, and took out a sorcery prop from the storage device that he had never used before and squeezed it in his hand.

The Pupil of Exile.

This was given to him by Kongsa before he died, telling him that if he found out that Golza was going to do something to his soul, then swallow this Pupil of Exile, and although he would also die, he would at least not have to be tortured again after death.

Thor thought at first that the diary had told him to agree to Gortha’s invitation just for this Pupil of Banishment. However, when it came to the Witch Tower rebellion later on, Saul did not use this Pupil of Banishment.

So later on, he figured out that the real purpose of the diary asking him to go to the Elven Valley was, I’m afraid, to let him see the true face of the planet he was on and receive the half-elf’s final gift to be able to be promoted to a full-fledged sorcerer.

If his strength didn’t reach the first rank of formal sorcerer, then he was afraid that it would be difficult for him to hold out in the Sorcerer’s Tower Rebellion until Tutor Golza suppressed the contamination.

But after Saul’s late search for information, he discovered that this Banishing Pupil was actually not specifically used to contaminate people’s souls. It actually had many uses of its own.

Through it, one can see the true trend of power and not be disturbed by the camouflage of the outside world.

After Saul stepped off the carriage, the fingertips of his right hand gently scratched at the palm of his left hand, and a slit split open in his left hand. A few strands of blood with a gray flash flowed down.

He pressed the Exiled Pupil against the wound, and the eye, which looked plain and just a little hard, quickly blended into the wound.

The bleeding then stopped, and the eye spun around in Saul’s palm, and as the black pupil flipped back out, Saul felt as if he had lost control of his palm.

It was as if someone had gouged his palm off.

However, when Saul tried to move his fingers, he felt that they were flexible and unrestricted again.

He raised his hand to the distance, and then connected his spiritual energy along his arm a little bit to the Exile Pupil.

Suddenly, the image in front of Saul’s eyes shook gently, and a third viewpoint unexpectedly appeared. Even as that black pupil turned uncontrollably, Saul himself could be seen.

But not only himself.

Under the perspective of the Exiled Pupil, Saul saw that he was actually surrounded by a circle of seven-colored halos.

That halo showed a sharp contrast of colors even in the sunlight. These halos were still changing, like the air blazing and twisting above the flames.

Through the perspective of his left hand, Saul could clearly see these halos sticking to his side, changing position every now and then, moving closer and further away.

He wasn’t sure what these halos were yet, but he could feel that he was being watched.

Saul narrowed his own eyes, controlling his curiosity and not craning his head to gawk.

He flipped through the journal in his mind and turned to the page where he had gotten the Exile Pupil in the first place.

The last sentence of the diary that day was:
[Don’t lock eyes with them.]

“The price of using the Exile Pupil is that I will see some things that I cannot see myself. Although I can see them through the Exile Pupil, I cannot meet their eyes myself.”

As the time of using the Exile Pupil became longer, Sol’s own eyes vaguely saw some colors that did not belong to this world.

“The Exile Pupil has to observe the world as well as myself, once the halos in front of my eyes float in front of me, I have to be careful not to be able to lock eyes with them.”

Sol summarized this use in his mind, prompting himself to pay attention to what he should be aware of, then spread out his left hand and raised his steps towards the grassland.

Under the perspective of the Exiled Pupil, he saw a village suddenly appear roughly five hundred meters away.

Close to the village, the grass suddenly turned into brownish-brown land, and the two boundaries were connected in a very unnatural way like a misspelled jigsaw puzzle.
