Chapter 499: Hurry up and go.

Chapter 499: Hurry Up

Saul pushed the door out, and saw that the several wizards outside the room were all known to him.

The first one, or white hair Julie.

Saul raised his eyebrows, shouldn’t the other party and Shia have secretly gone to track down the source of pollution?

Could it be that it was already over on their side?
When Julie saw Saul, she was a bit embarrassed and didn’t stick up like before, she just raised her hand as a greeting.

Saul walked around the corpse that had been isolated by the witchcraft defense, “You’re leading the team today?”

“Just happened to have nothing to do, got called over for overtime.” Julie surreptitiously squeezed her eyes at Saul.

Another sorcerer who had also worked with Saul in hunting down evil spirits approached.

“Sorcerer Saul, can you describe to us again how the Kent wizard suffered from contamination?”

Saul made a cooperative attitude, “Of course, after Kent and I found out that the source of the contamination might be on the roof of the building, we immediately returned here, just in time to see that a bizarre giant flower had broken through the defense spell on the roof and was fighting with two of my subordinates. There were also some humanoids made of black powder ……”

Sol pointed to a puddle of black ash that had also stopped moving due to the death of its owner.

“After killing these humanoids, Kent was about to go after the escaping Giant Blossom, but no sooner had he taken two steps than he suddenly stiffened in place, and then his head swelled up several times and grew full of inexplicable eyes, but those eyes didn’t exist for long before they all exploded into their current form.”

“And what were you doing in the meantime?”

“I was fighting some other black humanoid soot when the Kent wizard suddenly went rigid, and it all happened so fast that I didn’t see exactly what happened to Kent. Maybe the Academy can study it to find out.”

The inquiring wizard looked at Saul with skepticism, he always felt that the Saul in front of him was the one who killed Kent.

But he had no proof.

And it was also true that Kent had come to Saul’s place suddenly and without prior notice, so it wasn’t as if Saul had set a trap to lure Kent over.

And as a formal tutor of the academy, he also knew some of the secrets of the academy, and was clear about what huge bizarre flower was presumed to have been made by Kent himself.

Put a monster in someone’s house, and then enthusiastically go to someone’s house to help solve the monster ……

This matter is impure in purpose any way you think about it.

Kent’s popularity in Baidon wasn’t so good that anyone would be willing to go up against Saul to avenge him, so the wizard, after a brief inquiry and Saul’s unparalleled cooperation, recorded the incident and went back.

Julie grimaced at Saul and lip-synced another silent “He deserved it.”

I wonder what Kent did to piss Julie off again.

Looking at the other woman’s expression, it wasn’t very painful, as if she’d just experienced something very unlucky.

“Could it be that she and Shia encountered something while tracking down the source of contamination?” Saul thought for a second and didn’t look deeper.

Originally, he wanted to track down the source of the pollution, but he actually wanted to learn some of the secrets of Archaeust and Baidong Academy, to see if this city was worth staying for a long time or not.

But there was no need to trace it now.

He was certain that something was very wrong here.

The ordinary people who lived here weren’t even here to work, they were simply the sustenance of the city.

The Baidong Academy’s formation of a sweeper squad was also not at all to protect the safety of the residents here.

They had turned the entire city into a giant petri dish.

Although it wasn’t clear what Baidon was trying to cultivate, with the hints from his diary, Saul thought that he was probably an extremely high-quality nutrient.

That was why the diary reminded him that not a single bit of it should be taken away.

If the diary hadn’t currently not issued any more crisis warnings, Saul would have absolutely fled immediately.

“By the way, with such a big battle today, didn’t Wizard Shia come?” Saul asked as if casually.

As a result, when Shia was mentioned, Julie’s face became even more smelly, “Leave that guy alone, he can’t do anything but run away!” Saul raised his eyebrows, “Seeing this reaction from Julie, Shia wouldn’t have left Julie alone and run away during the tracking process, right? Though with his character’s way of dealing with things, it’s indeed likely that he would do that.”

While Saul and Julie were talking, another person walked into Saul’s room, surprisingly, it was Sorcerer Yonah who hardly left the academy.

Sorcerer Yona majored in dark attribute and was called over to deal with Kent’s contaminated corpse.

He didn’t greet anyone when he came in, and came up and squatted outside the isolation spell, crouching on the ground and looking down at the unrecognizable Kent.

“These eyes are peculiar, I’ve never seen this kind of contamination before. Has anyone seen Kent when he mutated?”

“The full process was only seen by Saul.” Julie said, clutching her chest.

Jonah turned around, only then seeing Saul standing next to Julie.

He moved his lips, not sure what he was muttering, and looked a little reluctant.

But after thinking for a moment, Jonah came to Saul’s side, “You saw the whole process of his mutation.”

Saul nodded his head and repeated what he had seen once again.

Jonah asked for a few more details, but he asked for details about the eyes, and didn’t concern himself with why Kent was in Saul’s place, nor did he ask Saul what he had done in the meantime.

“This is a really strange situation, I’ve never seen it before ……” Yonah was visibly a little excited, taking turns pointing at the ground with both of his feet, “but why is nothing happening to you at all when all your servants are dead? ”

The room was a little quiet for a moment.

Apparently the others had thought of this question as well, but out of certain scruples hadn’t asked Saul on the spot.

“I’m not sure about this, maybe it’s because my spiritual power is higher?” Saul casually explained, but in his heart he actually vaguely suspected that it was the reason for those stars around his consciousness platform.

“Then let me see if there’s any residual contamination on you.” Jonah said, raising both hands over his eyes and rubbing them.

By the time he had rubbed for a few seconds and lowered his hands again, both of his eyes had actually shifted to the palms of his hands.

Jonah swung his hands forward violently, stopping less than three centimeters in front of Sol.

Saul didn’t duck either, letting his opponent observe.

After a few seconds, Jonah covered his hands over his face again and put his eyes back.

Only when he put them back, the two eyes were attached a little crookedly, one vertical and one slanted.

“Can’t see why …… Maybe it’s really because your mental power is higher that you didn’t get infected by Kent’s contamination.”

Jonah walked back to Kent’s body crookedly and raised his hand, “Tell the two vigilantes to blindfold themselves and come over to carry the body away.”

The apprentice next to him froze, “Mentor Yonah, even if ordinary people are blindfolded, they will still be contaminated, right? At best, it will last longer.”

Jonah waved his hand, “Losing two ordinary people is better than losing two sorcerer apprentices, don’t you think so?”

The apprentices on the opposite side of the room blanched and nodded their heads like chickens pecking at rice, “Yes, yes, you’re right.”

Waiting for the people to be called to carry away the corpse, Jonah left Saul’s room with all the wizards and suggested that Saul might as well live in a different place.

Sol nods in agreement.

On the way back to the academy, Jonah had been silent.

Julie looked at Jonah a little strangely and wanted to come up to him to ask, but she was rejected by Jonah three meters away.

Without looking at Julie, who kept rolling her eyes, Jonah carefully retracted his hand into his shirt and pressed his heart, which was about to beat out of his chest.

“Damn!” He thought to himself, “Why am I seeing more eyes on Saul? Can’t! The Dean must be advised to send Saul away in a hurry, this eye contamination could explode on a large scale if he continues to stay in Archester!”
