Chapter 472: No Good Men

Chapter 472 No Good Guys
Once Saul and Julie returned, they were the first to report to the academy about the strange roots appearing underground.

The people from the academy appeared to take it seriously and immediately sent someone to report it to the dean.

Saul, who had just gotten paid, was in the mission hall checking the list.

The evil spirits and grudges were basically handled by Saul this time, so Julie took the initiative to allocate most of the points to Saul.

Baidong Academy’s quest hall functioned similarly to the registration room of the Sorcerer’s Tower, and also had the function of calculating points and exchanging items.

There were all sorts of tasks here, ranging from sweeping tasks to solve evil spirits like Saul’s, to researching a certain experimental topic, and even going out to publicize tasks.

He wasn’t interested in these extra tasks, and just concentrated on scanning the exchange list to see what items could be exchanged.

Because he had refused Dean Pound’s solicitation and was not an insider of the academy, the items that could be exchanged were limited.

Saul started off by running through the part of the catalog that redeemed meditation ideas.

However, after reading for half a day, he realized that these meditation ideas were either ones he had already seen but were not suitable for him, or they were meditation ideas that could be learned by a level one or two apprentice, and were too low level to replace the erosion charts.

After flipping through the pages for a while, Saul realized that there was a figure approaching him, and he immediately closed the book and looked up.

Surprisingly, it was Shaya, the one who quit at the beginning of today’s mission.

Didn’t this person always feel that someone was trying to harm him? Surprisingly, he would take the initiative to approach himself, a stranger.

But it wasn’t accurate to say close, Shia stopped five meters away from Sol.

“You’re surprisingly still alive? Julie is also alive ……,” Charley said thoughtfully, “It seems that you, the newcomer, are still okay. But I advise you to be honest, don’t think of backstabbing me.”

A small electrical spark flashed from Shia’s body, though it didn’t burn her skin like Monica’s did.

Saul sniffed and put down the list in his hand, tilting his head, “Being overly cautious and thinking a lot can actually be dangerous.”

The Shia sorcerer originally wanted to leave after finishing her sentence, but she couldn’t help but stop again when she heard Saul’s words.

“What do you mean? What danger would I be in?”

“Your current situation is somewhat similar to a disease I once read about in a book called victimized paranoia. If it’s mild, you’ll be overthinking and sleep poorly, and if it’s severe, you’ll have hallucinations and won’t be able to distinguish reality from dreams.” Saul smiled.

He didn’t actually know about victimized paranoia, nor was he clear about the symptoms, it was just that when facing such a paranoid and stubborn person, sometimes it was more effective to go along with his words.

“You, you …… “Shaya was a little flustered, these kinds of symptoms that Saul said, he was more or less involved.

People like him who cherished their lives were naturally afraid of having a disease appear on their bodies.

Just as Shaya took a step forward and wanted to ask two more questions, a dark figure rushed into the mission hall like the wind, and after looking around, he directly inserted himself in front of Shaya and came in front of Saul.

“I heard you captured an evil spirit, is it for sale?” Standing in front of Sol was surprisingly Baidong Academy’s dark attribute sorcerer Jonah.

“Not for sale.” Sol replied dryly.

He earned magic crystals to do experiments. And as the evil spirits and grudges were all the main materials for his experiments, it was naturally impossible to exchange them for magic crystals.

Saul wouldn’t do anything that threw away the watermelon and picked up the sesame.

Jonah was about to say something else when he was interrupted by another person.

“Sorcerer Saul also majors in the dark attribute, how could he possibly sell evil spirits to you?” The visitor was a tall male with brownish-red skin.

When he opened his mouth to speak, there would be fire coming out from between his teeth.

At a glance, he was a sorcerer who majored in fire attribute sorcery.

And the aura is very powerful.

He turned his head to Saul and said, “Hello, I’m Kent, a first-order sorcerer majoring in the fire attribute. I’ve already heard Julie mention you and what happened to you guys today. Don’t worry, the academy will expedite the investigation and deal with it. I hope that we can go on a mission together when we have the chance in the future.” Kent nodded at Sol, then turned into a ball of flame and left in style.

When the person left, the interrupted Jonah asked Saul once more, “Are you really not selling?”

“Not for sale.” Sol still answered firmly.

“Hmph! If you don’t sell, you don’t sell!” Jonah snorted coldly and ran away again like a gust of wind.

When Jonah left as well, Saul was about to continue looking at the list when he realized that the Shia wizard who had been interrupted by Jonah had not yet left.

Shia looked at Saul and wanted to say something, but finally summoned up the courage to shorten the distance between the two to three meters.

“How do you cure that disease you just mentioned? Does it require any special witchcraft materials?” Shaya narrowed his eyes and stared at Saul, thinking that if the other party pulled out a potion and said something like “there happens to be an antidote for sale for only 999” he would immediately turn his head and leave.

But Saul said without lifting his head, “I’m not a physician, who knows how to treat it?”

Saul said this, but Shia put down a trace of wariness.

“Then which book did you read about this disease?”

Saul turned a page, “Can’t remember.”

Shia rubbed his hands together, “So what do you suggest?”

“Maybe you could try Julie, she seems to be better at witchcraft related to emotions. You could ask her to help you soothe your nerves.”

“What get Julie to do witchcraft on me? How is that even possible? What if she takes advantage of the opportunity to harm me?” Shia immediately declined the offer.

“That or you could go talk to a wise and experienced person.” Saul casually coped.

He closed the list in his hand and beckoned for a uniformed apprentice.

“Is this everything in here that you can exchange to the outside world in your mission hall? There aren’t any other trading channels?”

The apprentice respectfully bowed his head and said, “I’m sorry, Your Excellency, this is all the items you can exchange. However, if you are really looking for something, you can also post a quest through us. If there happens to be someone else who has it, they might be interested in exchanging it with you.”

“Thanks, I’ll think about it.” Sol handed the list in his hand to the apprentice and then got up.

Shia was still there thinking, and in his afterglow, he noticed Saul standing up and immediately unconsciously took three steps back to pull away.

When Saul took two steps out, he suddenly heard Shia Wizard’s summoning spell behind him.

“Wizard Kent is one of the most powerful First Order in the academy. He’s basically the captain when it comes to large-scale missions. But he’s not a good person.”

“Sorcerer Yonah always stays in the lab and doesn’t like to fight, and all of his pay through classes and completing research tasks is used to trade for evil spirits. Definitely not a good person.”

“Witch Julie loves to mobilize other people’s feelings by affecting their emotions. She will give you the illusion that you already like her. Not a good person.”

Speaking very fast, Shia introduced Saul to a few people he had met recently.

Saul kept his feet on the ground and also asked rhetorically through Transfiguration, “What about you?”

“Me? I’ll kill whoever tries to harm me!”

After a while, Shia transmitted another sentence.

“There are no good people here. There are only the living and the dead.”
