Chapter 442 – Heavenly City Lord Ophelia

Chapter 442 – Sky City Lord Ophelia
Saul left the bewildered Zo behind and walked up to the second floor alone to check out what Zo had brought up.

There wasn’t much dust on the letter, so it should have been posted here in the last few months. The book that was covered in gum seemed to have been put in water, and there were traces of algae on it.

Saul opened the letter first and it was signed at the bottom by Xander.

He thought back for a moment before remembering that it was the man who had hidden his sister in a box to escape the ship’s ticket, only to find her dead when he got off the ship.

His sister hadn’t suffocated, though, but had died in the tidal wave of souls in Bluewater Bay.

The letter was simple, Xander said that he had discovered the reason for the formation of the soul tides in Bluewater Bay, and that if Saul had the time, he hoped to go over and inspect it.

Xander guessed that he wanted to request Saul to solve the problem of Blue Water Bay, but he was not capable of paying the corresponding price, so he had to explore some of the secrets of Blue Water Bay himself, hoping to attract Saul to go over there.

It had to be said that for the sake of his sister, Xander had also taken a great risk.

But the secrets of Blue Water Bay likely involved gray matter. And the gray matter was still the secret weapon that Anzai and the others used against Mentor Golza.

Saul flipped through the diary in his mental body.

[I’m so bored. Am I under your control? Can we make a deal?]

Currently, the only one still in the diary is Rokai’s conscious body.

And the white writing on the black pages belonging to Rokai was no longer as clear as it was at the beginning.

If Luo Kai couldn’t enter the consciousness platform and be replenished by Sol’s soul energy, he would completely disappear after consuming his last ounce of energy.

Although Luo Kai was only a second level apprentice in the end, the information and data he had as the president of the Apprentice Mutual Association within the Sorcerer’s Tower was certainly not comparable to that of an ordinary apprentice.

However, Saul did not want to make a deal with Rokai.

The diary would make Rokai tell the truth since, and he didn’t really want to keep this person’s body of consciousness.

“The gray matter was found from the Bluewater Bay. Have you found out why the gray matter formed? And what is the connection to the soul tides?”

Saul thought that Xander would certainly not dare to lie to him, despite the idea of borrowing his power to unlock the secrets of the Soul Tides.

Since he said that Soul Tide had secrets, he must have really discovered something.

With Saul’s questions, Rokai couldn’t do it even if he had the intention to hide it.

[Soul Tide is actually the result of the Blue Water Bay war a hundred years ago, where many people died, plus the use of some powerful and terrifying sorcery props at that time, which then caused the sea to be polluted as a whole. Later on, although it was managed to some extent, a large amount of resentment and malice was created.]

[These resentments and malice continue to harm others and create more deaths, resulting in the tidal wave of souls that occurs every few years].

[Later, when we found a large amount of dense malice lurking under the sea, coupled with the fact that Tower Master Golza was in a somewhat strange state, we came up with the idea of utilizing the malice to accelerate his contamination, and killing him while we had the chance.]

Saul’s fingers lightly tapped on the table, “It seems that Lady Yura was persuaded by you guys to accommodate the evil thoughts with herself to infect Mentor Golza at the critical moment.”

[Yes, but not exactly convinced by us. She herself has not wanted to live for a long time. For that reason preferred to kill Golza who had been resurrecting her.”]

Thor didn’t ask why Yura didn’t want to be resurrected.

In fact, ever since he realized that Yura’s mournful “Kill me” inside the puppet came from Yura, he could imagine that it wasn’t a comfortable thing to be in between life and death, and to be constantly being revived by people.

Perhaps only the words “life is worse than death” could describe it, right?
“After you discovered the problems with Mentor Golza’s body, and then had Yura agree to cooperate, and then discovered the large amount of evil thoughts that could contaminate Golza as well as the Sound Grinding Fruit that could mask Yura’s abnormalities, you began a plan to reverse the disk. It’s full of uncertainties, aren’t you guys afraid of failure?”

[Since you’ve become a sorcerer, it’s natural to dare to take risks, mediocrity can’t become a full-fledged sorcerer. Mentor Anze wants the Sorcerer’s Tower, Mentor Rum wants to share Golza’s corpse equally with Mentor Guido, and I’m free to pick third level apprentices to cultivate parasites.”]

Sol admitted that each of these was a tempting gain, enough to risk one’s life desperately.

“It seems that you guys have made a lot of gains in Blue Water Bay. The soul tides no longer appear frequently these past few years, is it because you guys took all the grudges and evil thoughts under the surface of the sea?”

[Actually, the soul tides appeared frequently before, or it was because someone was raising evil thoughts, or else tides once every few months is not the frequency that the western region of Staat should have.]

“Then, where exactly do those spiteful spirits exist, and what are they getting stronger because of?”

But Rokai wasn’t sure of the reason why those spiteful spirits arose, they were just peach pickers.

Only the person who planted the peach tree back then never showed up. In the end, Luo Kai only told Saul where the place where the tidal wave of souls was triggered was located.

At this point, there was only a shallow layer of his notes left.

Although it didn’t count as unlocking the secret of the Blue Water Bay, he finally knew where to go to find the clues.

Finally Saul withdrew his hand and asked another question.

“Who else has had parasites planted on them by you?”

Rokai hated to say.

But he couldn’t control his desire to confide.

……

The continent of Iskepper was between the continents of Staat and Nefret.

It was closer to the Stat continent.

On the north coast of the Iskepper Continent, there is a special archipelago, the Skye Islands.

At the center of the Skye Islands was Sky City, which was known throughout the wizarding world.

Sky City, as the name suggests, was a city suspended in the sky.

The area of this Sky City wasn’t large, but it had gathered the top level wizards of three continents.

It was said that people without the strength of a second level sorcerer were not even qualified to ascend to Sky City.

The Sky City Lord was even a fourth-order sorcerer.

Apart from the fifth-order sorcerers who were still in this world, the fourth-order was basically the representative of the top tier of strength.

On this day, Sky City Lord Ophelia secretly received a person in her White Glazed Palace.

“You haven’t been picking fights outside secretly all these years, and recently, you’ve even spent so much time in the western part of Stout. What, is it that you don’t want to come back to see me?” Ophelia sat in a transparent glazed vase with only one head sticking out.

Her body in the transparent glaze was like a strawberry-banana milkshake that had been churned, the red, yellow, and white thick liquid tangled and intermingled with each other and churned into one, and it was impossible to distinguish the limbs and internal organs.

And there were thousands of such glazed bottles in this white glazed palace.

Kismet stood below, looking up at the high platform, like a sacrifice more than like the lord of the city of Ophelia, the corners of his mouth rose, but his eyes were a little bleak.

“Of course not. Dear Lord Ophelia, the reason I’ve stayed in the western part of Statt for so long is all for the purpose of gathering more pages of fate.”

Ophelia’s head spun around, and the mixed liquids in the glazed bottle slowly swirled along with it.

“You said that once you’ve gathered enough pages of the Book of Fate, you’ll be able to retrieve your original owner. But you have at least 4 book pages now, right? Why is there not the slightest hint of your original owner?”

Kismet’s eyes dimmed a bit more as he said helplessly, “Perhaps my original master left for too long and too far away, and this little bit of fate book pages didn’t allow him to perceive it.”

“Fine.” Ophelia said faintly, “I’m still willing to let you keep trying. But just remember, I’m your master now, don’t wait for your original master to return and immediately defect to the other side before you do.”

Kismet’s smile became a bit forced as he lowered his head and said softly, “It won’t.”

Ophelia suddenly smiled, her neck sticking out half a meter from the glazed vase, it must have been a very beautiful swan’s neck if it wasn’t too long in proportion.

“The flow of your blood has gotten faster, what, are you upset?” She smiled a little coldly, “Is it because you think I don’t count as your master? Don’t forget who awakened you from chaos!”

“Or, do you still want to be a senseless quill pen again?”

It seemed like someone had guessed that.
