Chapter 419.

Chapter 419 – Formation
He retreated more than a dozen meters of pipes in a flash!

A barrier had been set up in this pipe!

“Can you guys get through?”

“Can’t get through!”

“The road is blocked!”

“No candles, can’t get through!”

A few mouths around Saul listened and immediately chirped in response.

These mouths didn’t have brains, but they could still respond to some simple questions.

It was just a bit noisy.

Saul waited for a while, and no one or mental power came to check out the battered barrier.

It seemed that the barrier didn’t have a warning function.

He waited a little longer before moving closer for a closer look again.

There was indeed a barrier there, and when Saul’s spiritual energy covered it, he immediately saw the lines of the sorcery spell formation.

“It’s just a very simple spirit barrier spell formation. The surface of the formation is curved, so it should be a spherical isolation, and there is no other place to enter unless the spell is cracked. However, Yura may not stay there for that long.”

Sol waited in place for a while.

Now that his spirit body was out of the body he could maintain it for a long time without always worrying about getting contaminated if he didn’t get back in time like before.

Sure enough, after waiting for a short while, the mouths told Saul that Yura had already left.

After thinking about it, Saul didn’t follow immediately, but instead asked the mouths to follow Youra, and he himself remained outside the room in Anze’s lab.

Not long after, the mouths that stayed in place told Saul that someone had come out again.

Saul waited for the second person to come out for a while before he ventured out of the pipe to take a glance.

After only one glance, he immediately retreated back into the pipe.

He saw Rokai.

The other party appeared to be walking happily and relaxed, but Saul only took one look at him and realized that there were faint spiritual power fluctuations escaping from many parts of his entire body.

It was as if he had raised some sort of creature with a certain amount of spiritual power in various parts of his body.

Therefore, Saul immediately retreated at the first sight of him.

The other party’s mental power wasn’t as strong as his, but it was quite sharp, and Saul couldn’t guarantee that the other party hadn’t noticed his sight.

“This person is very capable of acting. When I just saw him, although he didn’t have any reaction and seemed to remain relaxed, there was a moment when the fluctuation of his spiritual power became more active.”

Despite the fact that the diary hadn’t warned him yet, Saul had given up on observing.

At the same time, he was also clear about one thing, although this Luo Kai was only a second level apprentice, he was afraid that he was not simple on the inside.

Saul waited in place for a while longer, and no one came out again.

He asked those mouths again where Yura had gone, only to get that the other party had already entered the 19th floor.

The mouths didn’t even dare to follow.

Entering the 19th floor was to return to Golza, and there was indeed no need to follow.

Saul silently retreated back to the second floor of the East Tower, and then traveled back across the mezzanine to the conduit where the second vault was located.

Before leaving he asked the mouths who had helped him lead the way.

“Why are you guys helping me?” Saul remembered that they were the ones who called themselves Daemon King, the kind of relationship where they ran away as soon as they met.

The mouths were very direct, “The eyes listen to you and so do we.”

Then the other mouth added, “You don’t eat us.”

A third mouth said, “Vinnie eats us sometimes.”

“And sometimes it eats eyes.” A fourth mouth adds.

These mouths squawked around Saul like little chickadees.

“You call her Vinnie?” Saul had assumed that no one else in the Wizard’s Tower would call her Vinnie except for Yura herself.

The mouths didn’t explain why Yura was called Vinnie, though, and seemed to have been unable to comprehend the extent of the problem.

“Does Yura sometimes come over and eat these grudge fragments?” Sol subconsciously rubbed her transparent chin again, “But she’s already a spirit on the verge of contamination, how does she still dare to eat the grudge fragments, isn’t she afraid that the evil in them will contaminate her consciousness again?”

“Wait, Senior Byron also seems to have seen her absorbing evil thoughts from the gray matter. But those evil thoughts helped her return to normal from her chaotic and collapsed state.”

“Could it be that Yura is feeding on evil thoughts?” Sol thought that Yura’s state was definitely not normal. And it was likely that this abnormality was hidden from the others.

Did Golza know about this?
If he knew, then Yura had killed Byron in order to hide her devouring of evil thoughts from the vast majority of the people in the Sorcerer’s Tower.

If Golza doesn’t know …… then Yura must have done it to hide it from Golza himself!

“Diary!” Thor called out to the diary within his consciousness and looked down at the crimson hardback book, “If I go to Golza to ascertain the matter of Yura devouring the Evil Thought, will he kill me to silence me or do anything else against me?”

He stared dead at the diary, not wanting to miss the slightest feedback from it.

……

Saul didn’t enter the vault through the bronze door and walked through the mezzanine again.

The mezzanine on the periphery of the second vault was no longer dangerous at all for Saul.

On the contrary those spaghetti-like arms hidden inside the bronze gates were highly aggressive.

For the time being, there was no guarantee that those arms were as obedient as their mouths.

Passing through the mezzanine and returning to the second storehouse, Sol immediately took out his transmitting pen and sent a letter to Golza.

He didn’t write anything specific on the letter, lest Yura had returned to the tower master by now and saw him ventilating.

He just told Golza that he had made a major discovery on the resurrection experiment.

However the letter went out with no reply for a long time.

Saul sat and waited until early the next morning, when the dim candle lights had turned bright white, and Mentor Golza did not appear.

“Could it be because Mrs. Yura went back yesterday, so Mentor Golza didn’t have time to come to me?” Sol rubbed his sides carelessly.

He patted his cheeks, the rest he had originally set out to take had fizzled out, and after another night of no sleep, being paranoid was not a suitable time to conduct experiments, but last night’s abnormality of Yura made Saul feel uneasy.

Having prepared himself a potion to forcefully restore his mental strength, he was ready to try taking the Gray Matter Potion and the Blue Water Vibranium Potion himself.

Although the diary didn’t signal an alarm about Saul’s move to try the potions, Saul had prepared quite a few antidotes for himself in his compressed traveling bag just in case.

In case something got uncomfortable, take the antidotes in a targeted manner.

If he couldn’t he still had a lot of raw materials, and it would be fine to prepare them on site.

Having made preparations, Saul leaned against the couch and swallowed the gray matter potion first with a tilt of his head.

This potion was developed by Senior Byron, and had been personally tried by the senior, even if there were side effects, they should not be too big, so Saul chose to take this potion first.

After the potion entered the body, it began to vaporize before it even entered the throat. However, its boiling point was low and would not burn the mucous membranes.

It was just that Saul’s entire body looked like it was being boiled internally, and smoke started to come out of his nose and mouth.

After a while, Saul felt his eyes begin to smoke as well. The field of vision was a foggy haze.

Everything was seen to be shaking in the smoke.

Shaking and shaking, Saul vaguely felt that his spiritual body was enhanced a little.

Only a little bit.

It could be that Saul’s current soul strength had already surpassed that of an average formal sorcerer, so the gray matter potion didn’t have much of an effect on him.

He could also feel that if he took the gray matter potion a second time, the increase in soul strength would be even more minimal.

It didn’t even have any effect by the third time.

“Because Mrs. Youra has lost her body, I’m afraid her soul strength is a bit weaker than an ordinary sorcerer apprentice. Then the gray matter potion will still help her quite a bit.”

Thinking about this, the smoke in front of Saul’s eyes had begun to become thinner. Obviously the potion was about to pass.

However, right at this moment, a different, somewhat thicker gray smoke suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.

“This is?” Sol instantly narrowed his eyes, then quickly mobilized his spiritual power.

When his spiritual energy wrapped around the smoke, he suddenly felt a great evil thought.

The moment that evil thought was wrapped, it turned around and charged towards Saul’s brow, seemingly wanting to burrow into his brain.

How could Saul let it act?
The mental body shook up at high speed, and the overflowing spiritual energy was like substance, clutching the gray evil thought that tried to fight back.

But before Saul could channel it into the container that sealed his spiritual body, he suddenly realized that his surroundings had turned into black sky in an instant!
Above his head, below his feet, in front and behind him, at the limit of his gaze, a sky full of stars surged out!

Subsequently, the wisp of evil thoughts that he had managed to grab hold of was instantly absorbed by the stars!
The originally calm and self-contained Saul gradually opened his mouth wide.

“This is …… the night sky and stars in my space of consciousness?”
