Chapter 398 – Adulteration

Chapter 398 Adulteration
No matter how much Sol spat in his mind, Golza had always done what he wanted.

He was currently looking intently at the sarcophagus beside him, not caring what Saul actually did with the notes that had fallen to the ground.

Only when Sol walked back again did he half raise his eyes, “Very energetic today, it seems that the experiment is making good progress.”

Saul directly pulled Bill behind him over – although Bill was only a second level apprentice, he was still well known within the Wizard Tower because he had a third level top brother, Billy.

“Let me show you directly.” Saul didn’t talk nonsense and directly used Bill’s corpse to demonstrate for Mentor Golza.

Saul’s experiment targeted the container’s special repulsion for spirit bodies. Although he hadn’t yet figured out the source of this repulsive force, it didn’t stop him from delaying the appearance of the repulsive reaction based on his own reaction and that of the four consciousness bodies within the diary.

However, Saul couldn’t directly let his consciousness body enter the container in front of Golza right now. After all, in order to bring the consciousness bodies out, they still needed to enter the consciousness platform first.

This was Saul’s killer weapon, and it couldn’t be easily exposed.

Even though there was no body of consciousness directly entering the container and giving feedback on how it felt to use it, as a tower master who had already conducted decades of resurrection experiments and studied an unknown number of spirit bodies and containers, as long as one watched and understood Saul’s experimental process, one would be able to get a general idea.

Naturally, Sol wouldn’t let Golza guess hard, and presented his research notes with both hands.

Golza had read Saul’s latest notes and then viewed Bill’s corpse in his special way, after which he fell into deep thought for a long time.

After a while, Saul himself was beginning to wander off, wondering in his mind if he should start dream cruising somewhere else tonight, when Golza finally spoke up.

“I thought you’d start with the spirit body.”

His voice was a bit torn, obviously seeing the feasibility of Thor’s solution, but at the same time eyeing Thor’s special spirit body attributes.

Saul naturally understood that when Golza had first looked at himself it was because he was fully integrated and would not be rejected or contaminated when he entered another person’s body.

This was probably a trait that all spiteful and evil spirits begged for.

He was straightforward and honest at this point, “I have tried to understand my own peculiarities. But you probably also understand that the hardest thing for a person to understand is himself.”

Golza nodded, “Self-knowledge is as complex and difficult to discern as exploring the void.”

Sol continued, “I have also tried to research where my own specialness comes from, but unfortunately, I truly do not know. In fact, I don’t even remember how I got into this body. And before coming here, I wasn’t a sorcerer either.”

Gortha nodded, “I’ll take that last one at face value, after all, ignorance can’t be hidden.”

Thor: “……”

So the first few sentences, the tower owner still has reservations, the reason why he doesn’t go deeper is probably because he doesn’t want to strong-arm Saul, the only sample, too, right?

Because of this, Saul had to add even more weight to his specialness. Before he had a certain ability to defend himself in front of Golza, he would first make the other party unable to shed their hands.

“I’ve also tried to trace my history using various methods, but they all ended in failure. I think it might be that my knowledge layer is not enough.”

Hearing this, Golza suddenly spoke, “Or …… let me take a look?”

Sol was stunned.

A lot of thoughts went through his mind in an instant.

There was the end of himself being seen through Golza’s brain and all his secrets not being kept.

There was also the scene where he ended up becoming an idiot because of his opponent’s toughness.

But what made Saul’s heart vaguely excited the most was when Golza encountered the danger of the Nightmare Butterfly in the first place after attempting to explore his history, and then …… then …… was taken in by the diary and directly turned into his own servant!

That image is exciting to think about!!!!

Thor directly spread his hands, his whole body had a slight tremor, “If you want to …… just be careful, there will be an unknown backlash.” Who knows that Golza bent his eyes almost immediately, “Then it’s better to forget about it.”

He then lowered his head once more, checking out Sol’s notes.

Saul was just left hanging there.

A wave of weakness ran through his body, and he didn’t know if it was relief or disappointment.

But Gortha had already changed the subject.

“I can see that you have a great grasp of this experiment, and it doesn’t look like you just worked on it. Coming over here so happily today wasn’t exactly to show me your results, was it?”

The topic came back on track, and Saul stopped imagining things, he directly admitted, “Yes, Mentor, I would like to learn about the new program of the resurrection experiment that you told me about, and I would like to participate in this experiment if you see fit.”

After finishing, Saul reached out and patted Bill on his side, “And I think my program, is no worse than Blue Water Spirit’s, and my program has a little advantage.”

“What?”

“The materials in my program are basically things recorded in the Witch Tower, there are no materials like Blue Water Spirit’s, which were obtained from elsewhere and have not yet been fully parsed through. Although such materials are novel, they may not be free from accidents during the final experiment.”

Golza was silent once again.

His silver eyes flicked over Sol’s face, the notes in his hand, and the sarcophagus in front of him.

Finally, his eyes fell back to Sol.

“How did you know I was going to open the final experiment?”

“A guess, but the main reason is still the people from the land rowboat that you suddenly cleared. That one called Wilde, he is the captain of the land traveling boat, right?”

“Did you think of it at that time?”

“At that time I just thought that you might be trying to do something big, Mentor.”

Golza raised his hand, pressing it against his chest, “The situation developed a bit faster than I expected.”

He didn’t seem to want to talk about these things much, “You can join if you want. I’ve tried anything more dangerous than the Blue Water Spirit anyway. If your experimental program is better, you can use your methods as well, or consider a parallel.”

Purpose accomplished, Saul smiled more and more docilely, “Thank you, mentor, then can I bring back the notes of the Blue Water Spirit’s experimental program to read?”

Golza waved his hand indifferently, and a stack of books half a man high appeared at Sol’s feet.

Sol hurriedly stowed it in his compressed traveling bag.

“Something from the Baidon Academy?” Golza asked as he looked at the compressed traveling bag hanging from Sol’s waist.

“Yes, I bought it on the airship, but it may not be as convenient as your storage method, Mentor.”

“They’ve been working on these little things for years, it’s just a shame that they don’t delve much into the upper realms of knowledge. Heh, wizard stuff isn’t fit for popularization, it also has the potential to lead to disaster.”

Mentor Gortha was this meant to be?
Thor took that to heart.

He had also thought that maybe one day, there would be powerful wizards who would build a magical modern world.

But listening to what Mentor Golza meant, things were not that simple.

Witchcraft, still, was much more unreasonable than science.
