Chapter 315 – Memories and Deciphering
Chapter 315 – Memories and Deciphering
Inside the dimly lit corpse room, a series of props such as short knives, tweezers, scissors, syringes and so on took turns to dance on the cold corpses, and when they returned to their original positions, the intact corpses were in pieces.
From head to ankles, every inch of the corpse’s skin has been finely sliced open, revealing either the muscle tissue underneath, or the murky, thick pulp.
But these liquid tissues didn’t gush out from the splitting of the skin; they stayed peacefully in place, like a static picture.
And Mentor Kaz, who was maneuvering all of this in a cloud, had his eyes closed the entire time.
He just moved his fingers, and the tools flew up and retracted on their own, all like a bloody rendition of a puppet on strings.
When the autopsy was over, Mr. Katz gently clapped his hands, instantly breaking the frozen “time” on the corpse, the blood plasma mixed with pus scrambled out of the bones and muscles, overflowed out of the flattened skin, and followed the black leather, dripping bit by bit on the floor tiles of the corpse room.
“Cullom, come here.” Kaz’s voice rang out.
The head of a short teenager appeared above the body, looking at the bright red puddle in front of him without the slightest discomfort, and even let out a “wow” of amazement.
“Fill in the brain tissue, clean up the plasma and pus, refill with antiseptic gel, and when it’s all taken care of call Hayden …… Oh, he’s not here anymore, call the guys next door to come and heal the wounds. I’ll get someone to come and carry the body away.”
It was only after he had finished speaking that Mentor Kaz opened his eyes, as if he hadn’t been the one who had just disposed of the body, but some puppet on strings that he had manipulated.
His slightly cloudy eyes clearly reflected everything on the conveyor belt, but there was not the slightest hint of unusual emotions arising.
He had been doing this kind of work for many years, dissecting friends, students, and enemies. He used to think that unless it was Golza who appeared on the conveyor belt, he wouldn’t be surprised if anyone died.
After explaining to the young apprentice, Kaz turned and walked out of the corpse room.
As he left, something small in the room shook slightly, as if gently tugged by a thin thread.
But soon enough, this disturbing movement ceased with the closing of the scarlet room door.
Kurom respectfully watched Kaz leave, then rolled up his sleeves and began to clean up the mess with an excited look on his face.
The cleanup was completed smoothly, and he began injecting Nick’s mangled body with gel, which replaced the blood as well as the other flowing tissues in the human body, allowing the corpse to plump up again.
This was followed by the very crucial step, which entailed putting the brain back into Nick’s halved head.
But as he pulled a piece of the artificial skull out of a box, he looked a little nervous.
He struggled to keep his face taut, but the pupils of his twitching eyes revealed his true emotions.
The artificial cranium was put in, the skull was closed, and it was simply sutured and fixed.
This set of movements was only slightly more sluggish than just now.
After another short while, an unfamiliar face appeared, topped with a lifeless expression, and unleashed a few restoration spells on the body that had been pieced together by Cullom.
He then nodded to Kulom with the same bereft look, signaling his completion, and left the corpse room listlessly.
And Kulom, who had been standing by and watching, suddenly let out a long, silent breath after the stranger left.
……
The scene stops as Saul begins to struggle to free himself from Nick’s body.
However he only just managed to exert himself before he tore the connection with Nick.
After selecting the locator, everything was drastically different from before, the once difficult walk, the powerful enemies, and the terrifying mental interference all became much easier.
When the fog covering the knowledge of sorcery was lifted by great power, all that remained were the principles and rules.
Saul smoothly left Nick’s body and returned to himself.
He then got up from the ground while asking the four Consciousnesses, “How’s your side looking?”
Just now, when he entered Nick’s corpse, he deliberately asked his diary not to pass on what he saw to the several bodies of consciousness, but to let them study and explore it alone in an isolated space.
This time, the first one to start writing was Herman.
Herman: [I haven’t parsed anything ……] Well, Herman belonged to the action-oriented sorcerer apprentice, and it was difficult for him to study the fluctuation patterns and inner information of the mental bodies.
But then Saul didn’t receive any good news either, Morton and Agudu came back one after the other with information that was too brief to parse out the real content.
Saul did not continue to pursue, the remaining one Ann, is a composite of multiple consciousness, just recently formed, self-knowledge are going to need to be perfected. Saul also didn’t think about how fast Ann’s mind could still turn.
“I do have a clue on my side, but if I want to track down the real mastermind, I’m afraid it will take a lot of work.” Sol also sighed.
Kulom, who had taken over his work in the corpse room, was only a first level apprentice so far. And judging from the look on his face when he acted, there was some nervousness, but no fear.
Nine times out of ten, he was just accepting bribes and then doing favors.
But the good thing was that Saul could still go and track down who exactly was contacting Cullom.
As long as it was under the title of Mentor Golza, if Kulom dared to hesitate for a moment, Saul respected his courage!
But no matter what, the caution of the mastermind behind the scenes alarmed him.
Two or three people had turned over at every turn, and probably more.
Saul had some shakiness before, was it possible that they were targeting themselves?
But after going through a series of tracing, he could only laugh, “I’m not worthy.”
Who knew that at this time, An, who was least reported as hopeful, took the initiative to come out.
An: [Master~ I seem to have deciphered the meaning of this mental fluctuation].
Agu: [!
Morton: [!
Gorman: [?
One punctuation mark for each of the three consciousnesses expresses their surprise nicely.
Sol also didn’t expect Ann to decipher it. Although Anne’s tone didn’t sound very certain, Saul, who had already seen what the Grudge Hand was capable of, thought that this tone represented a kind of braggadocio instead.
A flash of interest flashed in his eyes, “Tell me about it.”
AN: [“Wrestle it,” that’s what it says].
A very simple signal.
Thor raises his hand to fiddle with his chin, a gesture he likes to do whenever he’s thinking.
Herman: [Wrestling it? What kind of control is that?”]
Morton: [No, in that case, it really seems to mean that.]
Agu: [Indeed, unknown reasoning is difficult, but if you know the answer and then backtrack, it’s easy. If you use this information to backtrack back …… at the very least the reverse equation is successful.]
Anne: [Hee hee~]
Saul didn’t bother to do any more math, he trusted Morton and Agu’s experience and calculation ability. However, he was more curious as to why An was able to derive this result.
“How did you do it?”
In the face of Saul’s question, Ann, however, looked a little hesitant.
Ann: [Uh…… if I say that the memories ran out on their own, would you believe me, master?]
Ann had thought that Sol would hesitate more or less, but she didn’t expect him to raise his eyebrows and ask her in return, ”Believe! Does this memory belong to the Grudge Hand, or that crippled evil spirit?”
Ann was immediately honest.
[It was the evil spirit.
I’m begging for a monthly ticket, I’m begging for a monthly ticket.
