Chapter 285 Efficiency
Chapter 285 Efficiency
Two days later, Saul commandeered the experimental props left behind by Mochi Mochi as well as a portion of the magic crystals, and finally completed the construction of the Consciousness Platform Formation within the laboratory of the Black Castle.
Next, Saul walked across the room to another experimental table and leaned down so that his line of sight was parallel to one of the distillation containers on the table.
A spherical flask at the other end of the container was bubbling small bubbles incessantly under the scorching of the sorcery flame, and at the other end was a conical beaker in which a thin layer of dark gray solution had already accumulated.
“The dose is sufficient. However, the means of purification is rather primitive and may not enhance the effects of the mood-stabilizing potion much.”
“But there’s not much fruit on hand, and there’s a fear of causing unnecessary damage with too aggressive a method.”
The experiment of refining the Ground Sound Fruit solution was different from the object modification experiment, and even if the experiment failed, it wouldn’t pose a risk to life. The diary would not give Sol help.
Even if Saul threatened Diary to hang himself if his experiment failed, it would be useless – Diary, however, knew that he wouldn’t.
And Algae wouldn’t be able to help with this experiment. It was clearly an earth-attribute magical creature, but it was more sensitive to spirits.
So after thinking about it, Saul still chose a more conservative experimental plan.
But in order to increase the purity as much as possible, he had to prolong the experiment to ensure the accuracy of every step of the experiment.
And he hadn’t been idle during the two days of waiting time, there were still some sorcery study notes in Mochi Mochi’s study.
Those precious ones were locked away by him with sorcery though.
But because he was the original owner of the Black Castle, the study would not be open to outsiders, so Mochimochi placed those books that could be borrowed in the tower, casually on the bookshelf.
At the same time, because Mochimochi also majored in the dark attribute, his bookshelf happened to have the 2nd rank sorcery that Saul needed right now.
There were two books in total, and Saul immediately chose one of them to learn after a short period of agonizing.
2nd rank sorcery, Abusive Touch.
It happened to be an upgraded version of the 1st rank sorcery Frozen Cold Touch that Saul had already mastered.
Saul chose another tentacle-shaped sorcery not because he liked tentacles so much, but mainly because he had a small algae on him.
Tentacle-shaped sorcery paired with a small algae could easily have the effect of a surprise attack. Just like when he dealt with the disguised Kismet in Ralph’s Manor.
Thus, Saul studied the Abusive Touch and built the Consciousness Platform Spell while waiting for the purified solution of the Ground Sound Fruit to coalesce.
Now, two of the three were finally ready.
Saul withdrew the magic crystal, stopped the flame, and cut off the connecting tube between the two beakers. Only finally did he carefully pour the solution from the conical beaker into the test tube.
The dark grey solution began to move towards black after entering the test tube, obviously the too pure Ground Sound Fruit Extract began its inevitable oxidation reaction after coming into contact with the air.
Sol took a few quick steps and entered the spell with the test tube.
He took a deep breath and stood in the center of the spell formation, still taking a dose of Heart’s Guardian before swallowing the Sound Grinding Fruit Extract in the test tube.
The moment the extract entered his mouth, Saul felt as if he had swallowed an ice cube.
The ice cube was still absorbing heat, so much so that everything from Sol’s esophagus to his intestines was frozen.
The coldness penetrated into the walls of the esophagus, the muscles, the fat, the blood …… and finally was wrapped in blood and transported to the brain.
The original nervousness and apprehension instantly melted away, and the whole person seemed to have turned into a puppet.
Fortunately, Saul s memory was not lost.
“The effect of the extracted Ground Sound Fruit Juice is twice as effective as the original.” Instead, Saul didn’t rush to open the spell.
He closed his eyes and recalled the names of a few people, both friends and enemies, who couldn’t cause him to have an emotional upheaval.
A few moments later, he opened his eyes and transferred his magic and spiritual power, and everything in the room was instantly fixed.
The smoke and dust no longer fluttered, and the pattering in the walls was all but silent.
In the next second, the world shattered like a mirror, revealing the eerie starry sky behind it. Beneath his feet was a gray rocky dome, inscribed with a spell drawn by Thor himself.
All around was a quiet darkness, twinkling with countless stars.
It didn’t seem to be any different from the last time he entered the consciousness platform, but when Sol raised his right hand, a crimson hardcover book immediately appeared in his palm.
The diary floated vainly five centimeters from his hand and flipped open in accordance with Saul’s mind.
The first page was still a golden page, but there was no response.
“Unsurprisingly, even a third level apprentice cannot move the golden pages. In the history of the diary I once saw, there were no golden book pages. However, based on the picture analysis, the diary should have the ability to bring death to all beings. That golden book page should be a similar ability.”
Now that his emotions were suppressed, Sol did not feel disappointed.
He calmly let the diary turn to the first half of the white pages, and compared the handwriting he had once read that belonged to the past with those he did not recognize on the pages.
Saul didn’t know how long the writing on the diary would last, but as he read through dozens of white pages with different handwriting, he couldn’t find the similar words he remembered.
“The first possibility is that words that are too old will be overwritten. In that case the diary operates on the same principle as a surveillance video, the old video will be overwritten by the new one. The second possibility, still my level is not enough, the diary will not reveal the words from that time.”
Saul still had no disappointment, and then let the diary turn to the black book page section.
With every black book page that was flipped, Saul flicked his finger, directly bouncing the black book pages out.
In this way, the three pages landed on the stone platform and turned into Agu, Morton, and Herman.
“Master!”
“Master.”
“Master.”
Of the three, Herman called out the loudest and most firmly.
Ever since the last time Saul had helped replenish the soul energy of Herman, who was on the verge of collapse, this fellow had stood firmly behind Saul.
Even though he had already regained his sanity, he still didn’t hesitate for a second. Instead, it set off Agu and Morton, who were half a beat slower, to be less active.
“Herman is in full control, Morton is seventy percent, and Agu is just over half.” Saul calculated in his mind, his face remained expressionless.
He told the three to wait a moment and looked at the fourth black page.
Last time, this black book page was still crippled, but it became complete after Mill Sail Town absorbed the resentful spirit lurking in Angela’s left hand.
I wondered what would become of this complete book page that now summoned the spirit consciousness.
He lifted his chin, signaling the three spirits to stand beside him, then with a lift of his hand, he flicked the fourth black book page out.
However, after that black book page landed on the ground, it transformed into a figure that Saul was completely surprised by.
It turned into Angela.
The fourteen-year-old girl’s eyes were soulful, her body was slender, and her small breasts were quite large.
The only thing that didn’t quite fit was that she had six arms.
“Master~”
I don’t know if it was because I heard the other three address her, but as soon as the young girl appeared, she followed suit and called her master.
She rested her cheeks in both hands, twirled a strand of hair in both hands, and tugged shyly at the corner of her coat in both hands.
It was like a full flow of delicate teenage girl actions.
