Chapter 273 Two out of three

Chapter 273 – Three Choices Two
“No way.” Billy said grimly, “There’s no curse of certain death in this world, and if there is, it only exists in stories.”

Penny swung forward once more, looking at Billy with what seemed to be a bit of interest.

“Yes, I’m lying to you all.” She giggled, seemingly pleased with how nervous the three had just looked.

“Aren’t you stuck here like the rest of us?” Angela couldn’t help but step forward, she had been keeping an eye on the tide outside, the wave of blood was about to rise to the level of the windowsill.

She wasn’t about to make any more small talk with this unknown Penny.

“Now that the sacrifices are in place, if you tell us the way out, we can also find a way to help you escape.”

“You lie!”

Penny pouted, deliberately propping up her arm to change the direction in which Zhong Ling was swaying.

The long mochi mochi swung up, the tips of her shoes nearly touching Angela.

The latter instantly backed up.

Penny got her prank and laughed like an innocent child.

Angela was so angry that she bit her lip, and wanted to release the spiteful spirit within her body to teach this Penny a lesson.

Instead, Saul raised his hand to stop Angela.

He took a step forward and raised his hand to grab Mochi Mochi’s calf that was swinging over, directly stopping the big clock from shaking.

Penny followed the big clock to a stop, her body didn’t shake, as if inertia didn’t work on her.

“You didn’t just show up out of nowhere to tease us. Time is running out, what do you want, what do you want to do, say it quickly.”

Penny looked down at Saul, the playful smile on her face finally disappearing.

“Is brother Saul in such a hurry to leave Penny? This may be the last time we see each other yet.”

Saul just stared at her closely.

Penny was finally defeated under Saul’s gaze.

“Fine.” She jumped off the top of the big clock and landed lightly on Saul’s arm.

Saul’s arm didn’t exert any force, yet it still bore the girl’s weight.

She landed on him like a butterfly lightly landing on the stamens of a flower.

“Simply igniting the fire of this sacrifice’s soul will briefly open the town’s gates.”

Penny had just said that when she saw Billy suddenly move.

A black flame emerged from his fingertips, and with a flick of his arm, the flame instantly landed on Mochi Mochi.

The flame landed on Mochi Mochi as if it had landed on grease that had been poured all over the place, instantly igniting his surroundings.

The latter’s entire body began to burn, and his limbs that were already hanging down helplessly suddenly began to tremble.

Saul also heard a mournful wail.

It was the voice from Mochi Mochi’s soul.

Saul swept over Billy, whose face did not change.

This person had just put himself in danger to save Mochimochi, and now once he heard that leaving this place would require sacrificing Mochimochi, he was the first to strike.

The flames from Mochimochi’s corpse not only rippled through his soul, igniting the large bell adjacent to him, but later the roof of the bell tower.

Everything that should and shouldn’t have been lit was on fire.

The firelight penetrated the windows of the bell tower, tinting the blood-colored ocean outside with a golden glow.

All three of the men standing in the bell tower applied a layer of protection to themselves, insulating them from the burning and heat of the flames.

“And then?”

Billy’s flames were less than unusual, and the body was soon burned to flying ash. The bronze bell was also melting and dripping.

But the iron cords on the brass bells looked like they were just attached to a layer of flame, not deformed and melted.

But looking at this scene, the face of Penny, who was standing on Sol’s arm, did not become good-looking. Instead, her state looked worse.

“Then it’s just a matter of waiting for the cage to show itself and point out where the gate is.”

Penny’s body shook a little as she jumped off Saul’s arm, then surprisingly did not stand still and fell to the ground.

Saul watched for Penny’s reaction while Billy gave his full attention to the bronze bell that could no longer be seen in its original appearance.

“Bam!”

Finally, the huge bronze bell fell to the ground. The fire on it fled in all directions like rats.

Some of them hit the apprentice wizard’s magic defense and went out with a “giggle”. After the bell fell, there was something attached under the chain that hung the bell.

It was like a crystal ball filled with red liquid.

The liquid had already spread over most of the crystal ball, and it looked like it was still increasing.

It looked – like a microcosm of the town of Grinding Sound Fruit.

“Is this the source of this town’s curse?” Billy looked at the crystal ball, tantalized.

But can now the curse was at its most powerful moment, even if a formal wizard came, he might not be able to take away this source of the curse.

Suddenly, a red point of light appeared inside the crystal ball, the point of light shone two rays of light hitting the outer wall of the crystal ball, mapping out two small points of light.

The light continued to penetrate the crystal ball and appeared in the clock tower, and again shot right out of the clock tower’s window, shining all the way into the sea of waves and blood.

Sol looked at the direction of the two rays of light, which seemed to correspond to the two gates of Mill Sail Town.

“The gates are open now, but only for three minutes.”

“Go!” Billy was more experienced, he immediately flew up and was about to take Angela away.

However, in the next second, he heard Penny say with a cold smile, “This escape passage has a limit oh. At most, only two people can leave.”

Although it wasn’t known if what Penny said was the truth, the atmosphere in the entire bell tower was suddenly eerie.

Billy and Saul’s eyes locked as if there were two lightning bolts meeting in the air.

Saul knew that he probably wouldn’t be able to beat Billy if it came down to a head-to-head confrontation, and Angela seemed to be important to him.

But Saul wasn’t about to give up his escape spot either.

“If Billy really wants to fight me ……” Saul’s afterglow kept an eye on Angela as the fingertips of his right hand gradually became transparent.

This time, Angela didn’t need to be reminded, she knew Saul would be on to her.

She hurriedly maintained her defensive sorcery, while moving behind Billy so that his figure would completely block herself.

“Come in.” Billy turned his back to Angela and suddenly opened his sorcery defense barrier a little.

Angela blushed, knowing that this was Billy’s way of stepping in to protect her.

A third level apprentice’s defensive sorcery was definitely better than hers, and Angela dove into Billy’s sorcery barrier without much hesitation.

Angela looked at Saul on the opposite side, and was inexplicably a little smug in her heart, “So what if you are even more talented, can you still defeat Billy who is about to be promoted to a full-fledged sorcerer ……”

“Puh–“

However, the pain of the small abdomen being penetrated instantly interrupted Angela’s complacency.

“Huh?” She looked incredulously at Billy’s hand that was inserted into her abdomen.

Before she could react, Billy pulled his hand out with another hand.

He was still clutching a light gray solid, rough and irregular in appearance, like a nondescript stone.

“It’s a little early to take it out, but it should be able to reproduce on its own.”

The stone was quickly put away by Billy, only flickering in front of Sol.

He then pushed the twitching, collapsing Angela out of his defense barrier, leaving her to curl up in pain.

“Why?” Angela was in so much pain she couldn’t even lift her head.

But Billy paid no attention to her at all, only saying to Saul, who was looking at him expressionlessly, “No need to be nervous, it’s just the two of us now.”

Suddenly, a wave came in through the window, and it turned out that the blood wave had risen to the top.

And at that moment the crystal ball overhead began to be unstable.

Saul wasn’t surprised by Billy’s cruelty to Angela, he just didn’t expect it to come out of nowhere at this juncture.

“What is this?” Saul thought to himself, “An apology for just helping Mochi Mochi out on me?”

Billy nodded at Saul and turned to already stand on the window frame.

The man really didn’t hesitate in his choice of interests.

Knowing that now was not the time to settle scores, Saul hastily jumped up to the other window as well.

But when he saw the direction of the gate, he froze.

The red light from the crystal ball above his head was indeed directed in the direction of the two gates, but the gates had long since been completely flooded with blood and water now.

In other words, if they were to follow the red line, they would definitely dive underwater before leaving the town.

But that red wave was the strongest attack of this curse. Could it be that they fled and fled, but in the end, they had to dive headfirst into the scarlet waves of blood?
