Chapter 246 – Curing Witchcraft
Chapter 246 – Sorcery Curing
Sol first took out a Phantom Feather to examine it.
Despite its name, the actual Phantom Feather didn’t look good.
Outside of a rough feather tube, there were unevenly distributed three rows of feathers.
The feathers were sparse, and every other section was still missing, looking like it had been gripped bald by someone.
However, under Saul’s spiritual probing, he could still feel the rich dark attribute elemental particles on it.
After examining only one, Saul put the box into his arms and opened the second metal box.
This box was so small that the lid could be opened with a flick.
Inside was the same little black bean, with a human face mapped on its smooth surface.
Still not Saul’s own face.
A man with a pained expression appeared on it.
But Saul didn’t pay attention to the man’s appearance, his eyes actually fell on the diary.
Seeing the diary fly out and appear with the same text as before, it was clear to him that the Seed of Evil Thoughts in front of him had not been switched by Kukin.
This time, Kujin had finally learned to be honest.
Afterwards, Cujin also gave Saul the cultivation method of the Seed of Evil Thoughts, as well as the hatching method.
“No problem.” Sol smiled and handed out the Black Flare Amber he had prepared.
Kujin took it somewhat nervously, closed his eyes for a moment to feel it, and when he opened his eyes again, he let out a long breath.
“I have no more problems here either.”
“Take care.” Saul retreated back to the inside of the metal gate.
Kujin was stunned for a moment, and had raised his foot to walk away, but then stopped with a torn face.
“Saul, can I ask where Ferguson went?”
Ferguson, who had been missing for so long, had been presumed dead, but no one had seen his body yet.
Saul raised his hand and knocked on the bronze door, “He’s inside the door.”
Kukin didn’t quite catch it at first, but soon his eyes changed and his lips instantly turned pale and pursed together.
Without another question, he nodded at Saul and turned to leave the first floor of the East Tower at a quick pace, stepping into the darkness.
Saul slowly closed the door.
Returning to the storage room, he casually placed the metal box containing the Phantom Feather on the table and concentrated on studying the Seed of Evil Thoughts.
“Opening the door to a new world.” He smiled a little, “It’s a bit of a curiosity.”
The diary didn’t issue a death warning alert, but just like the cocoon of the Nightmare Butterfly, the cocoon state wasn’t too dangerous to Sol, but the butterfly state wasn’t necessarily so.
Saul followed the way Kujin told him, erasing the unique spiritual power on top of the Seed of Evil Thoughts and replacing it with his own.
Instantly, the smooth surface of the seed began to become uneven, and even its shape changed.
Saul was a little puzzled as he watched the seed in his hand turn into a positive icosahedron a little.
“Wasn’t it said that it would take a month to go from erasing the spiritual power, to covering it with new spiritual power, and then how it would take a month for the Seed of Evil Thoughts to finally adapt?”
Saul tossed the seed twice, and the surface of the seed changed from its original mirror surface to a frosted texture.
Without ghosts and shadows on it, it was a little less spooky and a little more mysterious.
“It looks like I’ve at least managed to cover my spiritual power on it now. The Seed of Evil Thoughts, consists of consciousness, so its appearance will also change due to subjective mental power.”
Sol brought the petri dish, added several basic cultures that Kukin had mentioned to it, and loosely placed the seed in the center.
After entering the culture solution, the seed suddenly rolled a few times, and eventually, it actually stood in the petri dish with a pronged base.
At that moment, black slender tentacles drilled out from the back of Sol’s neck and tentatively came above the seed.
It cracked its small jagged mouth, and its black tongue seemed to want to lick the new arrival.
At the critical moment, Sol pinched the small algae’s head.
“Can’t eat it.”
Looking at Xiao Zao’s tongue that didn’t have time to retract and was caught in his mouth with a flutter, Saul laughed softly and let go of his hand.
Komoro immediately raised her head. “Prrrrrrrrrr!”
It actually flicked its tongue up at Saul, then immediately retracted before Saul could react.
“This guy, it’s getting more and more anthropomorphized.”
Saul placed the petri dish on the shelf and sat back down at the long table.
“Go find Senior Byron first thing in the morning, hopefully he hasn’t gone out yet. Then head to the 19th floor of the East Tower. I remember that the records of the experiments on stabilizing spirit bodies are on the second floor bookshelf. I hope I’m not mistaken.”
Because of time management, both of these things could only wait until tomorrow’s daytime to be done, and instead, Saul was a little unsure of what to do next.
His eyes traced around the storage room and finally landed on the lead box containing the Nightmare Butterfly in the distance.
However, he quickly shook his head, “Better wait until I finish the locator.”
Next, Saul simply flipped out the Spirit Armor Technique and prepared to construct it within his mental body.
Right now, his spirit body was extremely powerful, and he could construct at least 5 1st rank sorceries at the same time.
Whereas ordinary 2nd level apprentices could usually only construct two 1st rank sorceries.
This wasn’t to say that Saul’s mental strength was only more than double that of a 2nd level apprentice. It was because in the spiritual body, for every sorcery he constructed, his difficulty increased exponentially.
Therefore Saul’s mental strength was almost ten times that of an ordinary 2nd level apprentice.
Currently, Saul had only constructed one sorcery in his spiritual body, the Soul Asshole that he had initially promoted to the second level.
It was only because of the special circumstances at the time that it was not constructed particularly perfectly.
Later on, because of various problems, other things were weighted higher than constructing the Spirit Armor Technique, so even though Saul was considered by outsiders to have already ascended to the forefront of second level apprentices, he had actually only constructed a 1st rank sorcery, and his progress was being slowed down.
Now, with the progress of other important things being hindered, Saul had time to study it instead.
Constructing sorcery in the mental body was a type of sorcery curing.
Sorcery curing could fix sorcery on sorcery props, either on scrolls such as parchment or within the mental body.
Cured sorcery could be almost instantaneous. It is a sorcerer’s most commonly used tactic, and is often the means of preserving their life in the bottom of their suitcase.
Time dripped a little in the research.
The early morning sunlight broke through the high mountain peaks and fell on the grayish-black, old facade of the wizard tower.
A new day had arrived.
Saul rubbed his somewhat sore eyes.
He had accidentally stayed up all night again last night, and had only just meditated for half an hour to recover briefly.
Taking a look at the time, it was already six in the morning, just enough time to go find Senior Byron, so as not to go late and pounce on the other party who was already out.
But Saul’s butt just lifted up from the chair, he saw the long untouched summoning pen fly out from the quill and land on the white paper that had been laid out long ago.
“Ah, come to life.”
Having no choice but to walk over, Saul could only look down to see what the summoning pen had written.
“Oh? They’re all the most common things, and there’s only three of them.” He rubbed his chin, his eyes finally settling on the name that fell, “Tutor Anze?”
He had just attended the exchange meeting hosted by Anze’s student, Luo Kai, yesterday, and was called by the other party today.
“Could the two events be related?”
Sol started to move.
The mission was always going to be completed anyway, whether it was related or not.
Because Anzai didn’t want much, and because of Komoro’s eagerness to help, Saul quickly pushed the cart out of the second storage room.
On his way out, he accidentally met Haywood who came out of the first storage room.
His face wasn’t looking very good, and he wondered if it had anything to do with Kongsa’s bent yesterday.
However, when Heywood saw Saul, he still replaced it with a smile, “Good morning, looks like your all-nighter yesterday was really rewarding.”
Saul subconsciously touched the bottom of his eyes, but he quickly reacted to the fact that it was impossible for him to have dark circles under his eyes now, so he looked back a little puzzled, “How can you tell?”
