Chapter 127 – I’m the best at choosing more than one.
Chapter 127: I’m Best at Multiple Choices
This bone chopping knife was brought out by Saul from the corpse room.
It belongs to the misappropriation of public props.
But there was no way, in terms of good knives, Saul hadn’t seen any that could compare to his bone chopping knife.
Every time he dealt with abnormal corpses in the necropolis room and needed to split the body, this bone chopping knife was his first choice.
So when it came to decapitating the long neck of a human head, all the sorceries and scrolls were not as reassuring to Saul as the Bone Chopping Knife in the Corpse Room.
And this time, the bone chopping knife still didn’t let Saul down.
With just two cuts, the long knife that stuck to the bone seam and chopped down, smoothly split the human head’s neck in two.
The connection broken, the human head instantly fell to the ground without even a single struggle.
Instead, the other side of the severed head’s neck instantly retracted like a contracted rubber band.
Saul had no time to think, he understood that the enemy would definitely send new enemies after him when they realized that the head watching Saul was dead.
And this time, I’m afraid they won’t use Saul to fish.
Saul hastily put away his Phantom Sound pupil and commanded Koho to loosen his neck and retreat back through the mountain wall, retracting his neck.
Then as soon as he put on his backpack, with the Bone Chopper in his hand, he darted deeper into the hole in the ground.
He also lit up the Ember spell.
Although this might allow the pursuers behind him to spot him, it was more of a waste of time for Saul to move forward in the dark.
As long as the distance was far enough away and there were curves, this little bit of light would be inconspicuous.
Fortunately, this hole in the ground, although it was chosen by Saul on the spur of the moment, was not one of those dead-end type of holes in the ground.
Saul encountered the first steep slope after catapulting a few dozen meters.
His eyes lit up, as long as the passage went downwards, it would most likely lead to a complicated underground labyrinth.
Although there were many dangerous monsters in the underground labyrinth as well, staying on the ground Saul would only end in death.
Algae once again flew out from behind Saul’s neck and transformed into four chains, dangling Saul quickly down the steep slope to a gentle area.
Saul didn’t wait for himself to stand still and immediately rushed out.
After running a few steps, he met the first fork in the road, and he was just about to pick a random passage to enter when the diary suddenly flew out.
[Sol Calendar 316, April 20th.
One man went deep into the underground.
You’ve got a lot of courage.
But there’s a pool of stagnant water up ahead.
I’ve got a bunch of omnivorous worms.
Their mouths are small.
But they’re fast feeders.
As you run through the stagnant water.
You’re surprised to find that your stride has become smaller.
When you look down, it turns out that your calves have been eaten away.
It’s not a fatal injury, but before you can get proper medical attention, you’re smashed into a puddle of meat by a speeding enemy.
If the previous hints only made Saul wary, the last sentence made his eyes snap open.
Sure enough, there were enemies chasing in, and so fast!
Saul couldn’t think too long and immediately changed the fork in the road to enter.
The diary hinted that he had just run through the pool of water, and before he could heal, he was caught up by an enemy. That enemy was now very close to his position.
The slightest hesitation could get him caught up, and being caught up was the end of being smashed into meat.
The enemy was fast and powerful.
Thor was running furiously, even commanding the small algae to plunge into the soil in front of him, yanking himself through to increase his speed.
Soon the second fork in the road appeared in front of him, with a total of two path options in front of him.
Saul was running while looking at the left passage.
The diary also sped up its frequency to tell him that the left was a dead end, and that a caught up Saul would be smashed into mincemeat and hung on a rock.
By the time Saul ran to the fork in the road, he chose the right passage without hesitation.
Before he could run for long, the diary revealed a few more lines on the fly.
He said that while Thor was running away, a Dark Earth Spider suddenly jumped out and pounced on Thor’s back, trying to bite his neck off, and that while Thor was fighting the Dark Earth Spider, the enemy chased after him and smashed him and the Dark Earth Spider into mincemeat and mingled them together. Sure enough, to be caught up is to die!
But at this point, there was no fork in the road for Saul to choose from. He could only wield his bone chopping knife while letting Algae scout the path for him.
After running for a dozen steps, Saul heard a cracking sound coming from his left side, and at once crashed into the interception net formed by Xiao Zao with his tentacles.
Although there was no hesitation, the knife slashed at the tentacle that intercepted the Dark Earth Spider.
The severed tentacle still faithfully intercepted the Dark Earth Spider.
“I’m sorry, Zo.” It happened so suddenly that Saul could only apologize to his little pet in a low voice first.
Little Algae poked over a tentacle and gently touched Sol’s cheek to show that she wasn’t angry.
Saul continued to run wildly as forks in the road appeared in front of him again, this time there were a total of five passages for him to choose from.
Saul quickly looked at the first three, there were either monsters inside, or monsters that could block Saul and affect his escape speed.
All of them would eventually cause Saul to be caught up by his enemies and then turned into meat froth.
Saul looked at the fourth passage again, the diary had no hints.
He was about to enter when he glanced at the fifth passage again.
This time, the diary’s prompt made Saul’s heart flutter, and he actually turned into the fifth passage at the last minute.
The diary prompted Saul that the path ahead had the abandoned web of the Dark Earth Spider. But Saul would get stuck when he stepped on it, and would crash into the layers of spider webs, and then be trapped for a few minutes before being captured by the enemy with the webs attached.
And Saul, who now knows what is on the ground ahead, immediately leaps to the wall and walks on it as he enters the fifth passage.
At this point there are also some cobwebs on the walls, but Saul, who is already mentally prepared, will even use the kozo to swing to the other side.
After running through this sticky passage of about fifty meters with great difficulty. Only then did Saul return to the ground.
This was just a small method he used to delay his pursuers, but since the visitor could easily kill him, these small tricks might only delay him for a little while.
Yet again, Saul had to do it.
The pursuers behind him hadn’t been moving at all, but the diary kept prompting him that if Saul delayed even a little bit, he would be blown away by the people behind him catching up.
It made the presence of the enemy all the more terrifying.
The chaser’s breath seemed to keep blowing the cold hairs on the back of Saul’s head.
Saul continued to flee, but the passageway in front of him became narrower and narrower.
This made Saul a little worried, if he ended up running into a dead end, it was likely that he would still be spared from death.
“Hmph, even if there’s nothing to be sure of, I can’t really stand still and wait for death.” Sol stretched out his arms as he ran.
In this situation, all of Sonel’s concerns about anything were already behind him, and he just had to mobilize his mental body to the maximum.
At once, a strip of translucent soul moths appeared on Saul’s arm.
“It’s a pity that this worm can’t leave the body for a long time, or else it could still be thrown here as an ambush.” Saul laughed to himself.
Just as Saul had already had to start bending over and running, a downward passageway once again appeared in front of him.
“Once again …… descending?”
Saul gritted his teeth, descending again would mean going even deeper underground, and that would be even more dangerous.
He didn’t have any time to hesitate at all.
Saul gritted his teeth, as long as the diary didn’t come out, he would just pretend he was still on flat ground.
Saul took a long leap and jumped.
Several black tentacles instantly reached out from behind Saul’s neck and plunged into the four walls. While leaving deep traces all around, they kept their speed at a level where Saul wouldn’t be hurt if he landed.
However, right at this moment, Saul’s eyes suddenly widened.
Beneath his feet, another light unexpectedly appeared and was rapidly rising upwards!
Making up for yesterday’s
