Chapter 88: Naked.

Chapter 88 – Going Naked

Saul didn’t wait for Kongsa’s reply.

Nor did he really expect an answer.

Leaving Kongsha’s room, he continued up the stairs, crossing the dark corridors and ignoring the whispers coming from the distant darkness as he made his way straight to the fourteenth floor of the West Tower.

Dormitory 1416.

This was Senior Byron’s new home.

Sorcerer apprentices can choose to move to the corresponding floor after promotion, or not move if they find it troublesome.

But most people chose to move, after all, the hardware facilities were much worse.

Today was the first time Saul came to Byron’s dormitory to look for him, and it was still late at night, so I wondered if Senior Byron was sleeping.

One couldn’t expect all apprentices to be night owls like Konza.

Saul knocked gently on the door three times, after which he lowered his hand intending to wait for a short while.

However, the next second the dormitory door unexpectedly opened inward automatically.

“Huh?” Saul probed in and looked around, not seeing anyone in the living room.

He stepped inside.

The living room was a mess, as if the homeowner had run off to bed halfway through the move. There were a lot of boxes open with their contents still intact. There were also boxes stacked high on top of each other, blocking the panoramic view of the room.

“Senior, Senior Byron?”

No one responded.

Saul thought that Senior Byron should not be there, after all, with the mental power of a third level apprentice, it was impossible to sleep until now without waking up.

The person was not there, but the door to the dormitory was unlocked, could it be that the door was purposely left open for himself?

Saul took two steps forward and “trekked”, finally finding the lab bench hidden behind the large box.

The lab table was also very messy, with an unknown number of things placed on it. But the center of the table was purposely left empty with a palm-sized blank area on which a letter was placed.

On the letter, it was written, “Only Saul can read it”.

“The writing is still so ugly.” Saul shook his head and lamented, picking up the letter and unfolding it.

The letter read:

Only Saul can touch this piece of paper, if anyone else touches it, don’t read it and get to the antidote. You still have 10 left to live.

9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, ……

Saul, I received the first mission of the third level apprentice, and I need to go out for a period of time, the eight credits that I owe you for this period of time, if you are in a hurry, you can take the red potion on the table to offset it. If you are not in a hurry, you can continue to repay it when I come back.

Unfortunately, I don’t have many friends within the Sorcerer’s Tower, nor do I have anyone who owes me credits, so I can’t entrust you to someone else’s care, so please take good care of yourself, and I hope to see you alive when I return. If you die, the eight credits will be written off.

I also hope that I can complete my first mission successfully and come back alive. If you are afraid that I will die, you can also take the bottle of red potion as collateral first.

That’s all. Goodbye.

By the way, if the other people who took this letter are your friends, you can tell them that the letter is not poisoned and you don’t need to look for the antidote. If not then forget it.

Still owe you eight credits for Byron.

After reading the letter, Saul couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

The joke of counting down the hours he clearly hadn’t told Senior Byron, I don’t know how he came up with it, he clearly had a dopey look, but there were times when he was strangely shrewd.

He originally wanted to ask Senior Byron about Spirit Ester, but now it seems that there is no way to inquire about it, he can only hope that Senior Byron returns safely.

The red potion Saul did not move, letting it continue to stand on the table. Nor did he bother to check what the hell that potion was for fear that he wouldn’t be able to help himself.

Saul casually destroyed the letter and left the trash heap-like dormitory.

After returning to the corridor, the dormitory door automatically closed again, and Saul believed that after this time, it wouldn’t easily open again.

“Senior Byron has also left, so it seems that I can only ask Senior Mark tomorrow. Although he knows that I’ve done a witch body transformation, he doesn’t know the materials involved and shouldn’t associate spirit ester with it.”

Sol turned around and prepared to go back to sleep.

Just then, he suddenly saw his shadow on the ground, as if there was an extra piece of something.

There was a shimmer of something thin on the back of his neck.

Immediately alert, Thor stopped and readied his spell and potion. He raised his left hand and slowly touched his neck.

At the same time his afterglow noted the shadows on the ground.

Until his hand pressed against the skin on the back of his neck, Saul didn’t feel anything strange.

There had been no other change in the shadow on the ground either.

“Is it just me, or has that thing left?”

Sol went back into semi-immersive meditation and scanned the area, finding no unusual spirits.

However, he didn’t relax there either, but maintained a high level of alertness as he slowly left the dormitory area of the third level apprentices.

It was not until he entered his own dormitory that he breathed a sigh of relief.

“It’s true that walking in the tower at night is still dangerous. Now that Kong Sha and Byron aren’t in the tower, it’s better not to go out in the middle of the night in the future.”

……

After lunch the next day, Saul hurriedly ran to Instructor Katz’s lab, wanting to buy common sense from Senior Mark.

Just as he was about to push the door in, he heard voices of conversation coming from inside.

“…… It’s quite good that you can suffer like this, if your uncle could have been a bit more hardworking at that time, he wouldn’t have left the Sorcerer’s Tower at the age of thirty.”

“I will continue to work hard, Senior Cole, uh, can I follow you in your experiments?”

“That’s fine, anyway, you’ve followed Mark here before to do experiments, so you should have experience as well. It also saves me from having to look around for an assistant.”

“Thank you so much, Senior Cole!”

“You’re welcome, doing experiments with such a cute little girl like you puts me in a much better mood.”

Hearing this Saul walked in and was looking at the second level apprentice named Cole with one hand on Angela’s shoulder.

That Cole had a slightly chubby figure, but his face was piled with a warm smile. It looked like a gentle character.

And Angela was still smiling, seemingly not noticing anything wrong.

Seeing someone come in, Cole naturally withdrew his hand and nodded at Saul.

“This is Mentor Kaz’s lab, what can I do for you?”

“Hello Senior, I’m looking for Senior Mark, is he not here anymore?”

Angela reminded Cole gently.

Cole raised an eyebrow and then the smile on his face grew even wider.

“So you’re Saul, the first level apprentice that Mentor now values the most.” He headed over to Saul, “He’s away on a training trip, and I’ve now taken over Mark’s original job. It’s fine if you have anything to ask me.”

The other party seemed enthusiastic.

Sol thanked him politely.

“Thank you senior, but I’m looking for Senior Mark to return something to him, and since he’s out, I’ll wait until he comes back. I’ll go back first, goodbye senior.”

Cole was a bit disappointed to see Saul leave so quickly, but didn’t stop him, just invited him to come over more often when he had time.

Saul made a perfunctory remark, swept a glance at Angela who stood behind Cole without making a sound, and exited the lab.

Back in the corridor, Saul was a bit bewildered, unable to imagine that overnight, the three seniors and sisters he was familiar with, all of them had left the Sorcerer’s Tower.

Next, he could only head to the library to find a needle in a haystack.

There are very few people in the library, whether they come to borrow books or to return books, they are all in a hurry and do not want to stay longer.

As soon as Saul walked into the library, he realized that the anxious middle-aged man who originally sat on his left was not there.

Who accidentally touched the “hologram”?

“Do you want to borrow a book?” A very arrogant voice came out from the right.

Saul turned his head, and saw a young man of 18 or 19 years old tilting his chin and looking at him with his eyes downcast.

“Go in if you want to borrow a book, or get lost if you don’t.”

Upon two more close looks, that arrogant youth actually looked 90% similar to the anxious middle-aged man from before.
