Chapter 45 Declaration of failure

Chapter 45 Declaring Failure
“Hmph, you’re quite cautious.” The other party snorted coldly and rolled his eyes impatiently, “Because you’re cheap ah, the one next door might need me to dispatch with two corpses.”

Well, it turned out he was kinda cheap.

Sol glanced over at the two other corpses of first level apprentices that seemed to have already begun to be selected.

“Go on, don’t dawdle.” Ice Cold Sister urged.

Sol had to pinch the soft leather mask and walk towards the corner.

Just before he was about to step into the spell, there was a clattering sound that instantly made his movements freeze in place.

The hardcover book grew larger and flew in front of him to unfold.

The playful text surfaced once again.

[Year 314 of the Solstice Calendar, July 11th.
Today is a really good day, knowing that you are short of materials, someone sent you a corpse.

You obediently put on the “Maiden’s Pure Absolute Domain”, sit honestly in the spell formation, and scrutinize the three corpses.

Hey, why can’t you see the presence of evil spirits? Turning your head again, are you blind? How come the Evil Spirit is on Peggy’s body?
Oh huh huh huh …… you really have blurred your eyes, that clean evil spirit is clearly on you!
Tonight, Peggy will write in the task register that a total of three first level apprentice corpses were disposed of today].

Saul knew that a good thing that fell from the sky wouldn’t happen to him easily!!!!

All those who preach about no-cost high returns are big liars!

Don’t take advantage of small gains and don’t fall for them!

Saul decisively decided to give up and refuse this assistance.

The words in the diary resurface, and Saul takes a look at them, his eyes widening in horror.

Good lord, this time it was the schoolteacher who flipped out and directly slaughtered him.

“What are you dawdling for? Still not going in?” Peggy behind him had already taken on an obvious impatience in her tone.

Saul, however, slowly turned around, a smile worse than crying hanging on his face.

“Senior sister, I think that the corpse of a first level apprentice is a bit insufficient.”

Peggy stared wide-eyed and asked incredulously, “You want two?”

“No, no, no, I’m not that greedy, it’s just that I’ve been doing experiments lately and I’m short of a few materials on hand.”

The names of one material after another popped out of Saul’s mouth, while his brain was rapidly thinking of ways to respond.

Destroying the spell formation?

No way, the hardback laughed at Thor’s intelligence and told him he’d die from the combined beatings of the Evil Spirit and Peggy.

Thor thinks of two more ways to do it, but both are dismissed with a click of a button by the hardback.

“What a mess, where am I going to get the materials now?”

Sol laughed bitterly and continued to stall for time.

“You’re in a hurry, aren’t you, senior sister? I think today your quest register should say: a total of one corpse of a first level apprentice was disposed of today. Isn’t that right?”

Peggy narrowed her eyes.

“You’re smart, yes, I’ll hide the corpse of this second level apprentice. If you report me afterward, I have ways to get you killed.”

Saying that she took out a bulging silver bag from her bosom and threw it into Saul’s arms.

Saul caught it and the bag clattered and crunched.

It was actually a large bag of magic crystals!

“These can buy at least ten copies of the materials you just mentioned. Hurry up and go in! If you dawdle any longer, I’ll break your legs and just throw you in.”

“Many thanks, senior sister.”

Saul slipped the money bag into his pocket, held the mask, walked into the spell, and sat down obediently.

“Put the mask on!”

Peggy urged once more, no longer able to hide the murderous intent in her voice.

“Okay, I’ll find the front and back.”

Saul turned the mask over in his hands while the vial he was cupping in his palm was picked open with his fingernail to seal it.

It was a last minute idea he had come up with, and the hardback didn’t taunt him again about his deadliness.

“The Absolute Realm of Maiden Purity”, “The Evil Spirit of Cleanliness”, reminded him of the bottle of “Elemental Goblin’s Ultimate Taint” that he had tucked away in his arms.

At a time when the Evil Spirit and Sister Peggy’s strength far exceeded his own, Saul could only gamble on the escape path that the hardcover book had chosen for him.

While turning over the mask, Saul also poured a large portion of the potion on top of the mask.

When he put on the mask, a faint fishy odor also rushed into his nostrils.

The mask seemed to be sticky and immediately stuck firmly to Saul’s face.

“I’ve already contaminated this absolute field, if you’re really a clean freak, don’t come to me!”

On the other side. Peggy had been about to freak out when that damn newbie apprentice finally sat down in the spell she had drawn.

Of course, the spell that Saul was sitting in didn’t really serve any purpose, what really worked was the mask on his face.

Peggy grimaced and fought back the throbbing pain caused by the friction between her thighs as she walked to the center of the candles.

She took off her wide outer robe, revealing her pajama-like skirt and white calves inside.

Kicking off her short boots, she revealed a pair of small, equally white feet.

That skin was fine and tender, about the same color as the mask on Saul’s face.

“Keep an eye on those three corpses, and remember to let me know when you see black smoke coming from that corpse’s body! That evil spirit shifted quickly, I have to determine the other’s position even though.”

“Yes.”

“Begin.”

Peggy raised her hands, each one flying in a different gesture.

At the same time, her mouth began to chant incantations wordlessly.

The candles on the ground fiercely all burst into flames.

The spell runes above her head, on the walls, and on the ground convulsed like living insects.

Only the spell formations around Sol were quiet and unmoving.

Sol dutifully watched the three corpses.

The room was changing more and more.

The candles’ flames skyrocketed by a meter, constantly twisting as if they were being burned alive, and vague cries of agony reached Saul’s ears.

The black lines on the floor kept separating and reorganizing, like a group of matchmakers dancing around a bonfire.

Saul was in a trance and felt as if those matchmakers had risen up from the ground, dancing their flattened bodies and rejoicing at the leap in the quality of life.

“Tell me quickly! Where are the evil spirits?”

A shrill female voice rang out, interrupting Saul’s observation.

Saul’s eyes shifted, staring motionlessly at Peggy.

“It’s on you, schoolteacher!” He said coldly.

Peggy moved and turned around violently, her face full of black silk, as if she was a demon.

“Look again!”

In Saul’s eyes, those black silks drew away from Peggy’s skin and flew to form a twisted and hideous ghost face.

The ghost face’s empty eye sockets were as big as its gaping mouth, and after converging in the air, it immediately rushed towards Saul’s location.

It opened its mouth wide, and black silky saliva dripped from the corners of its mouth.

Boom!
Saul’s body jerked backward as if something had rushed into it, and a dizzying, cold touch came from his mask.

But before he could regain his senses, the touch violently retracted as if his hand had touched a red-hot iron pot.

He forced himself to endure the swelling and soreness of his eyes, and opened his eyes with tears in his eyes to look over, and saw the black evil spirit drilling back into Peggy’s body with a face of pain.

“Ah-” Peggy let out a horrified scream, “How did this happen!?”

The face of the black evil spirit imprinted hard on Peggy’s face, and then Peggy’s voice turned hoarse and hard to hear.

“Evil!!! So disgusting! So disgusting!!!” Peggy’s body convulsed and opened her mouth wide, spitting out thick black water.

“How could there be such disgusting filth! You woman, to lie to me, that wasn’t even the purest of virgins! It was a disgusting man!!!”

“Get lost, you lewd evil spirit!” Peggy was also desperately trying to break free from the evil spirit.

The two spirits, battling it out in Peggy’s body.

In the corner, Saul gasped as he ripped the mask from his face.

It wasn’t that he wanted to prove that he was a pure virgin, but the mask had become so foul smelling after being briefly possessed by the evil spirit that even someone like Saul, who had become immune to the smell of the necropolis, couldn’t stand it.

Every extra second he wore it made him sick to his stomach!

In the midst of the chaos, the hardback ran out.

[Solstice Calendar 314, July 11th, Sunny

What a marvelous reaction.

A fresh piece of teenage skin, a bit of elemental goblin filth, and a wisp of cursed spirit with a cleansing touch were refined into a necromancer’s shock mask!

Vomit!
But you’ll have to find a way to remove the stench from it before you can do that.]

Did you see me on 2022.11.29~
