Chapter 3: A Place in the Sorcerer’s Apprenticeship

Chapter 3 Spot for a Sorcerer’s Apprentice

Saul stretched out his hands and tried to pick up the potion.

It was just that his right hand was incredibly stiff, and his left hand was a white bone.

Seeing this, instead of handing over the crystal vial to Saul, the woman personally pulled the cork and fed it to Saul.

Saul mechanically
tilted his head to cooperate with the woman and swallowed the medicine.

A beautiful woman feeding you medicine is a beautiful thing.

Half a beautiful woman feeding you medicine …… is really not a racy thing.

But that potion is really good.

A bottle of it, Saul immediately felt a cold flow from his throat down to his stomach, he stopped shivering, and his two hands were gradually regaining consciousness. Soon, the right hand can also move flexibly.

He felt some itchiness on his forehead, raised his hand and touched it, and surprisingly found that the scars of his old wounds had fallen off.

Only his left hand remained white bone, with no sign of recovery.

“I’m afraid your left hand won’t recover with your current physique.” The woman casually placed the crystal bottle on the table, “Unless you can become an apprentice sorcerer.”

Saul let out a bitter smile, “I’m just a servant.”

“So what if you’re a servant?” The woman smiled, “If you are interested, I have a test opportunity here. It’s up to you if you dare to participate.”

A test to become a sorcerer’s apprentice?
Saul raised his head at once.

“I want to, my lord, I want to become a sorcerer’s apprentice.”

“Oh huh huh~” the woman wasn’t surprised by Sol’s choice.

It was obvious from the choice Saul had just made as a test vivisector that he had good willpower, courage, and was able to maintain a certain amount of composure, though he could be fearful as well.

These were all qualities that a sorcerer apprentice should have.

For his part, Saul waited for the woman to finish laughing before continuing to ask, “My lord, if you help me become a sorcerer’s apprentice, what do you need me to pay?”

“Pay what? What do you think you have on you that can match the qualifications to become a Sorcerer’s Apprentice?” The woman’s tone suddenly changed again.

Sol was stunned, calming down a little from his excited euphoria.

After being a manservant for a few days, he couldn’t wait to get rid of this status. That’s why he was so excited just now, and even wanted the other party to make conditions.

But a rhetorical question from the woman immediately made him calm down again.

He, at the moment, didn’t have any value that would make the other party give him a spot in the test.

Saul was silent, but he wasn’t giving up on becoming an apprentice wizard.

He was sure that the woman across from him wouldn’t bring up that test a chance just to tease him.

He should have waited for the person across from him to make an offer.

“Do you really want to become an apprentice wizard?” The woman asked again, “Even if it would be in my shape?”

She leaned forward with her upper body so hard that the glass enclosure over her head shook violently, the milky white liquid inside crashing into bubbles and waves, and the eyes hidden in the liquid occasionally hit the glass walls with a thud.

Saul had seen the occasional sorcerer’s apprentice, but no one who looked as horrible as the woman.

But ……

“I think.” Looking straight into the woman’s head, Saul replied in a low but firm voice.

It was better to die in the pursuit of power than to worry about becoming a flower fertilizer at any moment.

“Good.” The woman nodded in satisfaction, “In the next two days, a new batch of apprentices will be sent in. Unsurprisingly, seven or eight of them must have died halfway through. According to the usual practice, a few will definitely be picked from the servants to make up the numbers. I’ll send your name in.”

“Thank you, my lord.”

“Kongsa.”

“?”

“Level 2 Sorcerer Apprentice, Kongsa. If you can pass the test to become a Sorcerer’s Apprentice, remember to choose Mentor Katz.”

“I understand, Lord Kongsa. My name is ……”

“No need.” Kongsha interrupted him, “Come back and tell me your name when you become a Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”

Sol was silent.

Before he became a Sorcerer’s Apprentice, he was just a servant to Konza who didn’t even deserve a name.

It was very realistic.

But within the Sorcerer’s Tower, status, always matched strength.

Saul exited Konza’s room, the door closing silently in front of him.

He turned back, and the blood that was originally across the room disappeared, and he didn’t know how Konza did it.

The candle flames on the walls were nearing bright yellow.

Saul hastened to survey the rest of the corridor.

There was nothing dirty on the bright surface.

He didn’t have time to keep sweeping, and the housekeepers wouldn’t really scrub the floor with white gloves as long as there wasn’t too much conspicuous trash.

Saul turned around and pushed the cart along, finally running into the fourth floor corridor before the candlelight turned white. Breathing heavily, he put the clutter back in the utility room and emptied the trash.

“Finally done before the butler checks.”

Saul subconsciously wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his left hand, but his skin was raw from the hard bone.

“There is still no pain or even touch in the left hand.”

He moved a few fingers.

“But it can already move freely. Is this the power of sorcery?”

After accepting that his left hand might be permanently turned into white bone, the power contained within it fascinated Saul.

He looked at his right hand again, and although it looked like it had only become finer on the outside, Saul could feel the power contained within.

He picked up a random stone from the trash can in the utility room, and with a gentle squeeze, the stone shattered into several pieces.

“The right hand should be the result of a successful test, the grip is very strong, far beyond that of an ordinary adult male. I guess the so-called warrior and knight grip strength in this world is just like that.”

Just by adding a few more ingredients, the potion’s effects differed so much.

Saul once again strengthened his belief in becoming a sorcerer’s apprentice.

With this thought, he left the utility room and walked to the door of the bedroom where he was resting, pushing the door open a small crack.

Because he was still watching his hands, he opened the door very slowly.

At that moment a murmur of voices came through the door, causing Saul to stop his movements.

“That Saul guy hasn’t come back yet, looks like he’s really dead this time.”

“Hmph, it’s not easy for him to survive until now after offending an apprentice wizard.”

“Alas, he’s dead, now we’ll have to take turns waking up early to clean the corridors again.”

There was a silence in the room.

And Saul frowned fiercely, the task of cleaning the corridor turned out to be a rotation?
This group of people even bullied him for not having a full memory and pushed this dangerous job all on themselves?

It was only after a while that someone spoke again in the room.

“Thinking like this, it’s better to let Saul live. He’s lost most of his previous memories, what can he do and what can’t he do, doesn’t he still have to listen to us? This is great, we’re going to start another round of Dawn quests, and who knows which day we’ll somehow die.”

“Who said that the Dawn Mission has to be a turn?”

“What?”

“We’ve been having Saul sweep the hallways, and didn’t the butler say nothing? Starting tomorrow, let George go.”

“It’s not like he’s lost his memory and would agree?”

“If he doesn’t, beat him until he agrees.”

Speaking of which, everyone seemed to have decided that Saul was already dead, and with seven mouths to feed, they began arranging for the next unlucky one.

“Bang!”

Saul kicked the door open.

“Starting tomorrow,” he glanced around the room at the boys, “the task of cleaning the hallways continues to rotate!”

Some were taken aback by Saul, while others smiled grimly after their elation.

The boy who smiled was named Brown, the strongest and most powerful of the manservants, and the one who slept on the far left side of the bunk in the Chase.

He gets to enjoy the best light, and the distinction of being the first to get his meal.

This was all by fist fighting.

Now that a little brat had dared to disobey him, Brown pressed his knuckles and vowed to show Saul what rules meant!

Brown walked over and swung his fist up without saying a word.

“Splat!”

However, Brown’s punch was blocked by Sol with a right hand.

“Bastard!” Brown didn’t expect Saul to react quite quickly and thought about drawing his hand to attack again.

However, he soon realized that his hand was firmly grabbed, and he couldn’t draw it out at all.

How did he not know that Saul had so much strength?

Obviously, he was as thin as a ten year old child.

Saul, on the other hand, felt the strength coming back from his right hand.

Little Paddy!
He was expressionless and exerted a slight force.

“Ka!”

“Ahhhhhhhh-“

Brown immediately curled up in pain.

When Saul let go of his hand, Brown immediately fell to the ground twitching with his hand in his hand.
