67. Chapter 67 – Splitting the Army into Two Roads

Chapter 67 – Splitting the Army into Two Roads
The group was about a hundred meters deeper into the forest when another elf came out of the trees.

It was still the same accent, still the same stance.

“Humans, this is ……”

Wizard +1.
Two hundred meters or so, meets a patrolling squad of five.

“Trespasser, you ……”

Wizard +3.
Coma for two.

Heine has those with mobility carry the wounded and continue to lead the way ahead.

……

The wounded elf leads the way.

A human with a half-elf follows behind.

This peculiar combination quickly attracted the eyes of the members of the Cui Ye Court who were traveling to and from the area.

So much so that they all assumed that it was this human who had stepped in to rescue so many injured sentries.

Since he was here to negotiate, Heine didn’t lay a finger on him.

So there was the dishonest guy.

“Help —-“

A guide threw down his companion on his back and ran desperately back to the crowd.

Heine stopped the four in their tracks and watched as the group of elves closed in on him.

He wasn’t the only one watching, so were those above him.

Just as the first elf was about to strike, the top of his head suddenly went black.

It was as if a huge cloud had drifted over, blocking out the sunlight.

The elves looked upwards.

“Floating …… Floating City!?”

“The Northlands are hitting!”

Someone’s legs went limp and they directly sat on the ground.

Others were so shocked that they babbled.

Others turned tail and ran without saying a word ……

If anything, the natives of the McCalla Hills are rednecks.

Then the group of night elves circling them were no better than hicks.

The concept of a floating city might exist in their heads.

But not anyone could have imagined that it could be so huge, so cold, so shocking.

The castle-sized pitch-black creation gradually approached.

Fifty meters, forty meters ……

It was as if it was about to fall from the sky at any moment!

Todd also sat on his butt and looked at it blankly.

He had already lost the ability to think.

He was a real redneck.

The floating city had set out ahead of him when he was released, and had followed far out of visual range after that.

He couldn’t even muster the courage to run away at the moment.

Heine stepped forward, picked up the half-elf, and patted his face.

“Awake?”

Todd looked at him in a daze, his eyes gradually regaining their gleam.

“Big, big hunk of iron, in, in the sky, flying in the sky!”

His body was shaking, and he couldn’t tell if it was awe or excitement.

“I know, I’ve even been up there.”

Heine smiled at him, screwing her head up so he could see the elves around him.

“Remember what they look like at the moment.

“They are as bad as you, if not worse.”

……

Inside the office of Mr. Silverwing, the head of Cuiye Court.

This middle-aged silver-haired elf with a hawkish nose had a rather gloomy expression at this moment.

It wasn’t because Ms. Ciara, the Servant from Godello City, was sitting right in front of him.

Rather, it was the young human standing behind her.

For the first time, Silverwing questioned his own judgment.

The first time he had made his appearance in the floating city, he had gotten a hold of Heine’s information.

He didn’t need to know about the Servant and the Floating City, instead, he needed to pay more attention to the spokesperson that the other party had pushed to the front of the stage.

The other party didn’t even look twenty years old?
But temperament or not, eyes or not, that titanic look was not as simple as what was written in the information.

When he looked at Heine, the latter was also sizing him up.

Like Linumu, there was a faint resistance in Silverwing.

It was as if it was a hawk that was not to be messed with, warning him with its own loneliness and violence.

Twice in a row, Heine inexplicably gained some understanding.

This was the “emotion” of power.

That was when Silverwing spoke:

“Your Excellency is Lord George Albert Severn’s spell advisor?”

“Yes.”

“How is the lord’s health these days?”

“Other than being in a coma, everything else is fine.”

Spare Silverwing froze for a few seconds.

You call this everything fine?
His gaze suddenly raked over the four skeletons behind the other party.

It was also true that for a necromancer, this level of being alive was considered alive.

He looked over to Ciara.

“So the purpose of your servant’s honor’s visit here is ……”

“I’ve come to the ruins of the Buried Bones to take a casual look around and meet a friend in the meantime.”

Shiala smiled and added, “The only friends left.”

Silverwing ignored the sting in her words, realizing that the Shadow Templar had found a remarkable excuse this time.

As an accomplice to that act of Eternal Dawn, he knew he was at a disadvantage and simply looked to Heine.

“Then Your Excellency ……”

Heine coughed lightly, and Todd instantly returned to his senses with a jolt.

He recited as if memorizing a text:
“Greetings, Your Excellency, I am Todd, a half-elf hunter from the Eastern Suburb Farm, I joined the Roaring Mercenaries two years ago ……

“…… The above is the entire process of how we discovered the suspected Holy Light Storage Well.” After he finished speaking, he stole a glance at Silverwing.

He once had a dream.

To receive a high-level commission from the Court of Emerald Leaves once before he turned fifty, to meet a real elven big shot.

I didn’t expect this wish to be fulfilled thirty years ahead of schedule.

But it was at a time when he was a captive.

Silverwing’s face was expressionless, he already understood the other party’s intention.

It looked like this energy storage well could not be saved.

Where does he not understand that this is a self directed good show ……

But the Shadow Sanctuary did a beautiful job this time.

Aside from the sparse acting, everything else was impeccable.

The fact that the mages didn’t intervene meant that it was within their license.

After all, ever since the first storage well was discovered, Eternal Dawn had been targeted on all fronts by the Lion King’s Trade Row.

This was clearly a punishment from the House of Veritas.

And now, perhaps it was their punishment.

Which was fine, as long as they didn’t go after the Whispering Crypt.

Silverwing: “Since the locals have discovered this one hidden danger and ‘happen’ to have a professional present, it is only natural that the Court of Emerald Leaves can cooperate with the work …… So, is it necessary for one of our people to accompany them? ”

Shiala: “That won’t be necessary, I happen to have the Floating City with me this time.”

Silverwing tugged at the corner of his mouth.

What a coincidence.

Witnessing the other man’s departure, he called for his personal guards.

“Double the defense manpower for the Whispering Crypt.”

Coming to the lower part of the floating city and watching the man slowly descend from there, Todd’s eyes once again looked straight.

And looking at him like this, Meno and the others were relieved.

They had met the hillbilly from the McCalla Mountains as they had hoped.

A real redneck.

And an increasingly frustrated heart was saved.

Great, not every local is like Heine ……

Meno: “Where are the people from the Court of the Emerald Leaf? Why don’t they send a guide down?”

Heine was speechless: “What are you thinking, they nominally know nothing about this, where would a guide come from? By the way, bring him up, it won’t help much.”

He pointed at Todd.

This was his guide to the farm in the eastern suburbs.

“What a pain in the ass ……”

Meno muttered in a small voice and waved his hand to the top to have Todd brought up.

The floating city headed towards its southern destination.

It removed its camouflage and let the crowd follow.

As they passed by a vacant lot where the remnants of a bazaar were vaguely visible, the crowd stopped in their tracks.

Ciara spread her senses out, scrutinizing every tree.

After a moment, she slowly opened her eyes and said to Heine with a wry smile:

“There are no eyes of the guards on these trees, so you can safely go and save that Lady Jianglu.”

“Why don’t you come with me?” Heine joked.

“It would be a diplomatic incident if a Servant participated in a prison robbery.”

Ciara smiled, “Just go, I’ll wait for you to come back.”

“Good.”

Heine brought the catching sheep to Meno.

“Follow him, and just like the last time you absorbed the holy light from the mines, absorb the holy light from here as well.”

Catch the Goat gave him a chest-pounding motion back.

This was the action that he had finally “mastered” after nearly a month of long “awakening”.

Ryan Fried instantly stepped forward and solemnly said to Heine:

“Please rest assured, I will definitely bring His Excellency Sheepcatcher back safely!”

Heine thought to himself that it’s really not certain which of you two will take care of who …… but still nodded his head.

“Then I’ll be obliged to Your Excellency.”

The two sides parted ways at that.

Before departing, Heine had a chat with General Sa and shared Linumu’s words.

He then asked the other party, “Do you know of any other way to enter the Whispering Crypt?

Mr. Sa’s quick and decisive tone was heartbreaking.

Just like the swiftness with which he was searching for the entrance.

To Heine’s eyes, the trees and shrubs all looked the same.

This was deep in the true-dense forest, there wasn’t even a proper path, God knows how he had memorized it.

But Sa always had a firm footstep, skillful as if he was returning home.

Chief Sa: ”There’s no need to think about the main gate, I guess those side gates are also heavily guarded.

“I kind of understand, this hair is not taken for nothing, Linumu is equal to giving my big brother a hard time.

“If I’m not Saberia, then I’m pressed to find the entrance, and I reckon by then he’ll have drilled his way out 80% of the time, but the equipment will be wanted back.

“If I am, then he won numb …… Sabelia is a wood elf legend, a feather will tie me up, this deal is bloody profitable.”

Mr. Xia: “He won a fart, you are fake, Linumu horizontal and vertical are losing hemp, blood earned only us.”

Mr. Sa: “Oh yeah, I’m a fake.”

Eventually, he stopped in front of a dirt slope covered with vegetation.

It looks flat and unimpressive.

But as the vines on it were chopped off and the dirt stripped away, a rusted brass gate was revealed.

As Chief Sa took out the feather, the four dusty jewels on the door lit up one after the other with a pale greenish light.

The metallic stopper then went down a little, and the dirt rustled and peeled away.

The dark entrance slowly appeared.

At the same time, Heine heard a call from the depths.

“Help~Help~Help~Help~”
