50. Chapter 50 – I’m not a mage anymore.

Chapter 50: I’m not a mage
After a quick skim, Naga mentally ranked the events according to their level of abnormality.

He had personally confirmed that George had become a lost soul, and the so-called resurrection could only be an evil spirit possession.

The source of everything was those two damn necromancers.

At this point, he had to use the most stupid method to solve the problem.

He was going to go to the lord’s mansion first, and then make a trip to the Gitille manor.

Considering that the toughest of these people was a rank four warrior, he had deliberately picked a dark red textured cane.

The confinement spells on it were enough to deal with this thick-skinned, stupid bull.

He felt a pang of exhaustion at the thought that his fellow officers were sipping coffee and reading newspapers in Veritas, while he had to deal with the mess these hicks had made.

He quickly left the house and headed for the lord’s mansion.

Just as he arrived in front of the lord’s mansion, two men surrounded him.

The tall man was Jones, a farmer from the eastern suburbs, and the short, dark-skinned man was Frey, the chief of the mountain people.

The former was none other than the hunter who had been taunted by Naga for being a hillbilly in the first place.

The latter, on the other hand, was the Cornu who had been taken down by the guards after breaking into the venue with Othelwell.

Othelwell’s remains were treated with courtesy and he was released.

It looked like the two had been waiting here for a long time.

Frey said sharply, “What happened to the mercenary group you found? So many people actually couldn’t take a manor?”

Naga looked down at him.

Frey and Donald were related, and as a result, Donald had not been heard from since Oswell’s death.

Plus the Dwarf side had lost Elamonte, the son of the winds, who was known to have been last seen precisely at the Mountain Folk’s fair.

So the pressure was all on Frey.

No wonder Frey was haggard and anxious.

Naga: “We’re just the intermediary that issued the commission, and since the Roaring Mercenaries are the ones with the best results in your area, we also supported over 100 gold coins of equipment.

“Are you asking us to send someone personally? That’s a different price.”

Frey was dumbfounded and could only stare with bloodshot eyes.

As for Jones, he was pale and terrified, “He …… he’s back, he’s not dead, what’s going on?”

Naga: “What about the two legitimate heirs? You sent each of them.”

Frey: “Both were arrested, by order of George himself!”

Jones also whispers, “I heard from the guards that Arthur is back as well, the spell consultant and his undead. He, he’s really alive, that’s what the underlings say!”

Naga lost his smile, “So none of you have gone in yet?”

Both men blushed a bit.

It’s not that they don’t want to go in, but they don’t dare to ah ……

Naga sighed.

He’d be sure to submit an article to Open Laughter when he got back and include all these redneck jokes.

It was like a child’s political struggle.

Just look at what so many years of captivity has turned them into.

Luckily, there are only three months left.

Make it through the hundred days or so, then we can replace the next unlucky one here.

“Wait here, I’ll come find you after I’ve solved the problem.”

Jones said sharply, “Don’t you need us to join you?”

Responding to him was Naga’s condescending back.

……

The conference hall was barely repaired, but the round table was gone.

That was convenient though.

Naga’s senses swept the entire hall in a flash as he was ushered in by an underling.

George, with a gauze wrapped around his head, sat directly in front of him, and behind him stood Counselor Heine.

Immediately next to George was Arthur, who was staring blankly at himself.

The warrior brother’s head was askew, and his lanky frame was a mountain sitting there.

Naga was glaring at him as if he was treading on sticky plasma on the soles of his feet, the smell of blood going straight to his nose.

Naga pondered for only a second before voluntarily closing the door.

It was just the three of them, and the guy’s weird undead wasn’t there.

Good.

Let’s just do it.

The cane tapped on the door, the magic pattern on the tip of the cane glowing faintly, but it was blocked by his body.

A transparent boundary silently blocked off the entire conference hall, ensuring that the commotion inside wouldn’t reach the outside.

“Third level closure spell, cow ah belly sister, you can think of that too?”

Teacher Xia, who remained submerged, exclaimed in admiration.

He was only four or five paces away from Naga and could see everything.

This was what Megumi had predicted last night.

“Hehehe, his ‘Blood Membrane Staff’ which is a special attack against warriors is made of a hemolyzed wood core and is quite rare in appearance, so I have it in my collection.”

Megumi, who was possessed by George, replied.

They were the only two undead in this room, neither Catch the Goat nor Chief Sa appeared, and Wei Temple Iris simply didn’t bring it.

It was obviously for fishing.

Heine didn’t have much spiritual power left yesterday, so she didn’t communicate with the new undead.

Anyway, Wei Temple Iris was a stuffy person, and Hui-Hui couldn’t ask anything even though she could talk directly.

He simply had a serious chat with Mr. Xia.

There was just one core question:
“Can you, me, plus Arthur beat a level 4 mage?”

Repeated questions were answered in the affirmative.

“Yes!”

With that link, they knew exactly where their confidence came from.

Heine then went to Dylan, and Mr. Xia pulled General Sa, and each side discussed tactics for a long time.

Most of that time was spent with Heine eavesdropping on this side of the pre-battle meeting.

Naga probably didn’t even know that he was being treated in such a grand manner.

Heine had originally planned to send Naga an invitation, who knew that he would take the initiative to send it to his door.

And he even locked the door.

That’s really thoughtful.

That’s so sweet.

Naga thought so too.

He could even think of reasons why his opponent didn’t bring those three skeletons. To prove his innocence.

It wasn’t hard to realize from that battle that his undead were incredibly resistant to holy light.

So the means of detecting evil basically failed.

It was assumed that the same was true for evil spirits.

So he’s trying to prove to himself that “George is not possessed by an evil spirit.”

I think Arthur, and the people of this laird’s house, were deceived in this way.

This is a characteristic of the mountains of Macara, full of childish naivety and innocence.

“I’ve heard that your injuries aren’t completely healed, my lord.”

Naga spoke as he walked, invisible spell fluctuations spreading around his left and right hands.

Heine was suddenly startled.

There was a different feeling in him now that he was a third level Genin affinity.

The meta-spirit was being enslaved ……

Anger came up!
As the fluctuations of Naga’s spells spread, it was as if he heard the meta-spirit’s wailing.

They were cursing “bad guy~ bad guy~ bad guy~”

At the same time, he had a faint realization that his opponent had cast a slowdown spell.

Once someone approached him, he would fall into a quagmire.

This was obviously in defense against Arthur’s outburst.

Did the mage’s spells have something to do with genjutsu?
Naga was getting closer, and following the negotiated script, George beckoned.

Heine attached her ear.

He then spoke for the lord:
“The laird has asked me to say thank you, Your Excellency, for coming, and that he is feeling much better.”

“But he doesn’t look well to me.”

Naga smiled and pulled out a bottle.

“Here’s a vial of Holy Water #14.

“I suspect you’ve controlled the lord with an evil spirit, and I’ll believe it if he drinks the holy water.”

As expected of the Lawgiver, there was no false pretense at all, and he went straight to the point.

Heine’s gaze fell on the small bottle.

He naturally wouldn’t believe that it was some bullshit holy water.

It was nothing more than thinking that one bottle didn’t wipe out George’s soul so he made up another one.

That’s when the chatter came from inside his head as well.

Mr. Xia: “Sister Belly, 14th Holy Water looks like this?”

Huihui: “Of course not, the two-digit numbered holy water is a small test tube, this bottle is as good as half a Coke, he lied to you!”

“Your Excellency’s request is too much!” Heine chortled.

“Then I will apologize later.”

Naga looked at him compassionately.

He was about to raise his hand when some lurker who had been sneaking around for a long time suddenly appeared!
There was a flash of cold light and force came from behind!
Ding~
The withering dagger seemed to hit a mirror.

Naga stumbled and his body shattered like glass with a clatter.

The shattered mirror reflected the horror on his face.

Where did the wanderer come from!

“First life taken care of. But where I would have silenced the blow, and where I had a handful of forbidden demonic ash, he couldn’t trigger this protective mirror image.”

Mr. Natsu disappeared into the air as he crumbled.

Almost the instant he disappeared, a chilling ice cone shot out of the air and nearly shot him through.

But that also exposed Naga’s position.

“Ahhhhhh-“

With his head askew, Arthur cracked the only-repaired floor with one foot and roared as he slammed into the air somewhere!

However, he only took two steps out before he fell into a quagmire.

His neck was bruised and his body was thick with blood.

The movements, however, seemed to be played in slow motion, and the stomps all seemed incomparably strenuous.

Only then did the stony-faced Naga reappear.

A translucent white shield surrounded him, as if he were a sharp-edged glass.

The dark red patterned cane glowed brightly, and the silhouette of a snake emerged at the top.

It opened its mouth wide and spewed out two red bubbles.

One floated towards Heine and the other towards Arthur.

The warrior brother was undoubtedly wrapped in it.

The blood light on his body was being eroded, making a “snorting” sound.

It was obvious that he would not be able to escape for a while.

As for Heine ……

He suddenly took out a thick anvil with a blood-stained surface from under his feet and threw it at the bubble!
Snap!
The air bubble shattered in response, and the anvil was bounced back.

Heine grabbed the anvil that bounced back and mangled it himself!
Although his face was calm, the raging battle intent in his eyes was not much worse than Arthur’s!
Naga was taken aback, wasn’t this guy a necromancer?
Nowadays, Heine had 1.7 flesh strength, the level of a second level warrior.

It was also 8.5 points of strength in the player’s mouth.

This was already about the same as when Catch the Goat was first summoned.

The opponent was a mage, and in his eyes, there were only two types of enemies.

Spellcasters and non-spellcasters.

As long as Heine dared to cast a spell, his opponent would be able to interrupt it at the first opportunity, sending him into a brief mental shock.

Lacking sufficient experience in sparring, Heine was completely unable to intervene in the casters’ civil war.

Unless ……

he stopped being a spell caster!

He was now a warrior!

Perhaps out of sympathy for the genin, Heine’s anger was extraordinarily high!
For a moment a faint blood light also enveloped his body surface, and it was impossible to tell if it came from the anvil or himself.

Bang!
Heine slammed solidly into Naga’s shield.

The opponent hadn’t set a trap for slowing down right in front of him.

After all, who cares if a caster starts a “charge”……

Megumi looked stunned, “What’s his profession?”

Mr. Xia: “Um …… warrior?”
