Chapter 15: The East Meets West
Chapter 15 The East Meets West
Heine had to admit that this hand crossbow was just a bit more accurate in Mr. Xia’s hands than his own.
The night the weapon arrived, he tried a few rounds against the tree trunk in front of his house, and his merciful shot ended up making the two skeletons laugh all night.
He simply let the hand crossbow go.
Thinking about it from another angle, wouldn’t there be no experience gain in case he was too good a shot and grabbed a head?
So that was the real reason, it had nothing to do with the marksmanship horse.
George saw Heine shoot his horse and arrive, immediately revealing a joyful look after the robbery.
“Heine? Great, it’s good to have you!”
Heine, however, shook her head.
“Lord, it’s not time to fall off the wagon.”
“What? You mean ……”
George quickly shut up.
One of the two out-of-control guards had his heart blown out by a hand crossbow, and the other had his head dented by a flying shield from Catch the Sheep.
Both were clearly too dead to die, but they staggered to their feet.
Under the pupils of the dead, their bodies were drenched in death aura, but in the brain was hidden a blood light that spread out into silken veins controlling the whole body.
“What is wrong with them …… them?”
“Something has invaded their brains and is controlling their bodies.”
Heine wasn’t quite sure, because it didn’t matter.
Just know that they were experiences.
“Go!”
He made a gesture, and the two skeletons instantly mangled up like hungry tigers.
Undead versus Blood Servant, the battle was supposed to be a test of the micromanagement skills of the manipulators behind the scenes, but Heine was only responsible for A up, leaving the rest to the two to play out on their own.
Only to see Mr. Xia raise his hand and feint to shoot, his opponent’s sword blade immediately crossed in front of his body, as a result, his hand crossbow deflected and the arrow suddenly aimed at the enemy on the right.
Whoosh!
The lavender arrow hit the right guard’s eye socket, and the latter stumbled backward slightly.
Just then the bone chopper followed, the thick blade slicing directly into the unprotected neck of his opponent.
Like peeling off a slice of cucumber, Catching Goat easily chopped off the guard’s head and stomped on it.
The size 44 thick-soled leather boots with 8 points of strength boost instantly stomped on the head, just like stomping on a watermelon.
A thumb-thin bloodworm was directly stomped and exploded, not even qualified to eject.
At the same time Catching Goat flung the anvil to the left without looking.
DUANG!
The guard who was fighting with Mr. Xia was caught off guard and was smashed, his head hit the dagger aimed at his brow and toppled in on itself.
The moment the dagger was withdrawn, a red light drilled out right after it, heading straight for the skeleton in front of him.
But it was intercepted in mid-air by an arrow, sent away with precision.
The battle ended instantly under the tacit coordination of the two, and the shock on George’s face could no longer be concealed.
When they first met he hadn’t understood why Heine had equipped her undead servant with such expensive equipment, it was too extravagant.
But now, he no longer had such ridiculous thoughts.
The competence and cooperation shown by these two skeletons were completely worthy of this.
They might not be that powerful, but they were more like fighting machines than most mercenaries or even elite soldiers he had seen.
And the performance of undead servants depended on the control of their masters, so ……
He couldn’t help but look at Heine.
He had really underestimated him before, this young man’s future was unlimited.
Seven or eight experience balls floated back, and Heine still didn’t let his guard down.
He opened the pupils of the dead and looked around.
Gray dead qi was converging, a precursor to undead spells.
Yet he couldn’t see the source, which meant that the enemy’s perception was above his.
He simply let go of the two completely:
“Free movement, search the surrounding area for enemies lurking to cast spells!”
The two heavily-armored skeletons spread out to the left and right, with Heine guarding George vigilantly with her electric shock mace in hand.
“Lord Viscount, do you have a flare for distress?”
“This is my hunting ground, why would I prepare those.”
George said with a rather self-deprecating tone, but quickly pulled himself together:
“Arthur, my most loyal guard, must already be on his way.”
At that moment a faint whistling sound came from the forest birds in the distance.
Goat was shocked, “What’s the plot of this wave? How come there’s also a banshee shrill whistle, this comes quite full ah, how come the monsters of the Haunted Manor are out of the copy?”
“This is a new plot, I haven’t seen it either. The banshee is probably holding Arthur back, and there’s definitely a squatting pussy on our side ……” “Looking for squat pussy you are good at ah.”
“No problem, I saw it! Holy shit, this cloak is definitely enchanted with Jungle Shelter too! Go for it!”
Heine was about to relay the copied answer to George when he heard a loud bang!
In his head–
“Holy shit, a living corpse exploded? Are you okay, Goat?”
“The head is fine, this wave is a big loss, damn how many years have not been so targeted …… No, Mr. Xia, where is your ass?”
“Blow up no.”
Hearing that the two had suffered heavy casualties, Heine scrambled to get up.
But he didn’t run two steps before he suddenly stood still again.
The spell for Corpse Explosion had to be engraved on the bones, so few living corpses exploded, often undead servants.
Moreover, the principle of triggering the Corpse Explosion was to torture the wandering soul to the extreme, causing it to disintegrate itself, releasing a huge amount of energy to the point of shattering its flesh.
Few living people can torture themselves to such an extent, and even if there are ruthless people, it is difficult to do so from the principle, which will trigger the self-protection mechanism of the organism.
In other words, it was highly likely that someone else was behind the living person’s self-destruction!
Heine lightly tapped his brow and opened the pupils of the dead, carefully staring at the direction of the explosion.
Under his deliberate gaze, he indeed saw an extremely faint blood-colored thread that was slowly disappearing this way from the location where the explosion had occurred.
Heine wordlessly turned around and chased after the direction in which the silk thread had disappeared.
In the bushes at the end, a small mass of the same bloody light as the one in the guard’s head before was released, and was creeping against the ground towards the lord who was leaning against the tree.
A sound bite huh?
A smoke grenade was thrown by him, landing between the tree where the lord was resting and the bloodworm.
With a thud, the smoke bomb exploded on the ground, a wave of smoke lifted the bloodworms that were about to be catapulted, and in the midst of the noise a bone spear shot out!
Heine accelerated and ran, another bone spear pierced through the smoke.
The sound of two sharp objects entering the body was accompanied by a muffled grunt, and then someone fell to the ground.
Stepping forward and stomping the bloodworm to death, Heine confirmed that his opponent was also dead before relaxing his spirit.
“It’s all right, Lord, the danger is lifted.”
He walked over to the tree and said to a stunned George.
“I didn’t realize you were as strong as your undead.”
George barely maintained his composure.
He was only in his early twenties, and it was already rare for him not to wet his pants after going through something like this.
“Is the opponent a necromancer as well?” George asked.
“Yes, the commotion just now was caused by a Corpse Explosion spell, and it was a living person ……”
He briefly explained the reason for this, and George nodded frequently.
But as he said that, Heine was in awe.
Why a necromancer?
If they really wanted to assassinate the lords, wouldn’t assassin hunters or something be better?
He didn’t believe that the Gitilers couldn’t afford to raise a few black gloves specializing in dirty work on their huge farm.
This was too fishy.
After resting for a moment, Heine assisted George to the place where the corpse explosion occurred.
A large crater had appeared here, and Catching Goat had half of its body blown off and its armor had been blown to pieces.
Mr. Xia was slightly better, but also had two legs blown off, his equipment was intact, and he was frantically claiming credit at this time.
“Heine this shall not be touched to death, I don’t even want my legs just to save him repair costs.”
Goat snorted: “I think you patted the ass to the leg, look at the plot direction is obviously the Lord Lord package repair, you whole zero battle losses, he still have to be touched?”
“Huh?”
Heine cried and laughed as she listened.
The words of the sheep catcher were soon to be fulfilled.
“Sorry for making you pay such a heavy price.” George said with an apologetic face, “I’ll ask Arthur to choose the best set of armor and use it to make up for your loss!”
Heine didn’t push back, but just made a few polite remarks in process.
The commotion on this side soon attracted the guards, as well as the “Arthur” mentioned by George.
Heine saw this middle-aged man for the first time, and instantly felt a terrible intimidation.
Especially when the other pair of brown eyes swept by, he seemed to be stripped naked and sunk into the Huangpu River in winter.
Arthur was obviously in a bad mood.
Because he was carrying a human head in his hand.
