Chapter 14: Arguments and Attacks
Chapter 14 – Argument and Attack
“Oh wow, encounter, the ambush I buried came in handy, dude already sees sneaking beckoning me!”
Catching Sheep chose to be silent in response, ignoring this noisy fellow.
Heine was equally silent.
On the contrary, it was Jiang Lu who, after her initial dismay, as if she remembered something, her eyes suddenly changed.
She looked deeply at Heine and wordlessly retreated into the shadows.
With just a single glance, the two got the information each wanted.
Jianglu realized that the other party was the necromancer she wanted to get rid of, and the thought of such a tricky guy being described as a waste of space sent a wave of irritation through her.
Wasn’t this a clear case of punking her?
If it wasn’t for the fact that she had crossed paths two days ago, she would have been foolish enough to go on the ground, and this time she didn’t think anyone would be able to save her, this was the Lord’s hunting ground.
Heine, on the other hand, got a good look at the coat of arms on her jacket representing Donald, and the lost and found willow-shaped dagger.
Then again, thinking that Donald would find someone to deal with himself, things couldn’t be clearer.
Thank you Mr. Donald for sponsoring 27 gold coins, Boss Atmosphere!
……
As is customary, the Viscount praises the gods and the upcoming Feast of Mercy, while mourning his old father.
Inside Donald’s tent, however, a heated argument erupts.
“Cancel? Why cancel?”
“I’ll ask again, you want me to deal with Heine Heinrich, the blonde necromancer with two undead minions and no more than 20 years old?”
Donald frowned, “What’s the problem?”
“Do you really know this person?”
“He’s got all the information here, a crappy mage who got dropped out of the Burrowing Ground, he couldn’t even summon a decent undead minion until four days ago.”
“Ha, ha ha ……”
Jianglu looked like she had heard a big joke.
“If the Buried Bone Ground’s trainees were at his level, it wouldn’t have fallen into ruins!”
Donald’s complexion moved slightly, “You guys have fought? When?”
“The very afternoon your people met me, at the haunted farm.”
“All the more reason for him to die! He was most likely there to investigate the device there!”
Jianglu sneered, “I don’t know if he deserves to die, but I don’t want to die. I won’t mess with him, but I will inform the Cui Ye Court about this.
“This necromancer is at least a level two threat level, and the two undead servants are at least level three, yet you describe him as a waste of space, there’s always one of you and the people under your hand that has a brain problem.”
She threw down the angry Donald and was about to leave when she suddenly turned around:
“Oh yes, I remember that you were in charge of the energy storage well in Eagle’s Bite Mountain, right? I’ll advise the people of Eternal Dawn to consider this matter carefully. The dagger’s money is considered a consultant’s fee, I never give stupid people as consultants, this time it’s cheap for you.”
After saying that she disappeared into thin air.
Bang!
Table hp-20.
“The sharp-tongued elf!”
Donald’s face went black, and he took several deep breaths before he managed to calm down.
A few minutes later, he released a raven with his own hands.
It flew all the way to the haunted farm and landed on the balcony of the Gitler estate, where it was grabbed by a pair of pale, slender hands.
Also a few minutes later, three horses set off from the manor stables, heading straight for the hunting grounds.
……
The Viscount’s speech was boring, so it was good to have the banter of the two to pass the time.
Catch the Goat asked, “Say, what’s the rank of that Vermillion Dew?”
“Combat then it’s only level 13, 14, but wanderer well you know well, not into the dive is a piece of paper, she’s a level 5 sneak, if it’s not for the fact that buddies are familiar with her positioning, into the dive is equal to invincibility.”
“Wouldn’t that be equal to a level 25 Wanderer? What’s this kind of person doing here if they’re not working as a secret agent at the Ash Front?”
“Fishing for people ah, she is a senior agent of the Cui Ye Ting, the Cui Ye Ting talent withered, otherwise which would recruit players …… In fact, each organization is the same lack of people, are staring at this piece of neutral war zone, just your old family’s people to start the most ruthless, don’t want to share the cake so set the table off.”
“That’s too much, didn’t you Shadow Sanctuary also start early? This place is full of first and second level necromancers, Haunted Manor Tail King (bottom boss) level 15.”
“That’s different, we’re not family with the Underworld, otherwise where would the Underworld Expeditionary Army come from?”
“That’s true ……”
Hearing this, Heine’s heart brightened.
The player’s 5 levels converted to the npc’s one level.
However, the npc’s need and judgment of levels was obviously different from the player’s obviously.
A level 5 sneaky agent like Jiang Lu is a level 5 powerhouse if you only consider infiltration ability.
If it was combat, it would only translate to level 13, meaning level three.
However, generally speaking, if someone had extraordinary achievements in a certain field, their social status wouldn’t be affected by their inferiority in other fields, so Heine guessed that Jianglu’s status wouldn’t be dragged down by her combat power.
Judging from the description of the “Haunted Manor” copy by the two of them, the Makara Mountains should be the leveling area for the first 15 levels.
When they first crossed the border, they said that their level was enough to run through the low level copies, and later on, whether it was in the burial ground or in a head-to-head battle with Jianglu, they did not lose, and were even comfortable, proving that their words were not false.
But was their level high?
Obviously not.
Data can only be used for reference and scale, and they have to be analyzed differently on different occasions, so it is impossible to generalize. It’s not a game after all.
……
The Viscount’s words finally came to an end, but the people below began to frantically pat their asses again.
This time, even Heine was getting a little tired of it.
“The McCalla mountains are at stake, yet this group of people are socializing here, alas ……”
“That’s right, how can you manage the Viscount Territory when you stay with this group of bugbears!”
Listening to the two spit, Heine also sighed in his heart.
He was much harder to bear than these two.
He was anxious in his heart, but he had to act like he wasn’t.
Not only that, he also had to act like he had discovered the truth, and then go to remind the Viscount ……
Truly tired!
Finally, all the foreplay was over, and as the “referee” blew his whistle, more than ten teams, totaling more than forty groups of people, set off one after another.
Heine waited until the end.
He didn’t see Jiang Lu’s figure, and Donald’s face was gloomy.
His men had not departed at all.
A breakup?
He didn’t understand it, but he wouldn’t let this kind of “win-win” thing go by.
Three horses left together, two of them borrowed.
Yesterday, he had taken the time to “teach” the two undead how to ride, and now that he had given them enough freedom, it made sense that they would be able to ride.
He had never been shy about such details, for fear of exposing himself.
The hunting grounds were located in the northern part of Ebony, just between the town and the haunted farm.
Heine even thought about taking the opportunity to go to the farm and destroy the energy storage well.
If he could make some big noise, he thought that it would be able to greatly change the direction of the plot, right?
The subconscious mind would change its movements without realizing it, and Heine was originally just wandering around on faith, but as he wandered, he gradually strayed away from the center of the hunting grounds and got closer and closer to the farm.
He noticed that the soil of the hunting ground was black, fertile dirt, which was vastly different from the reddish-brown soil of the farm, and opened the pupils of the dead.
The soil made little difference in his eyes, but an extremely faint blood color caught his attention.
The color of blood and the gray aura of death were entwined together, indistinguishable from each other, and seemed to remain in the air that had not yet dispersed, spreading towards the forest not far away.
It was fortunate that Heine had leveled up once, or else he wouldn’t have been able to discover it.
“Come alive guys.”
Heine locked the direction and turned his horse around.
“It seems like some undead other than us have snuck in here.”
Mr. Summer asked, “Is he talking to us?”
“Or else?”
“It’s a little weird, but it seems pretty natural and not as pathetic as it was at first.”
“It’s better than talking to the furniture ……”
“? You curse again?”
……
Forest.
George Abbott Severn looked back once more at the bushes behind him.
He always had the feeling that something was staring at him.
But the gaze crossed the guards, and there was nothing there.
“What is wrong with you, Lord?” The guard asked with concern.
“Nothing, perhaps I didn’t sleep well last night.”
“There’s prey over here, Lord!!!”
The guard located at the front suddenly shouted in excitement, George’s heart was delighted and he hurriedly spurred his horse forward.
But the moment he accelerated, the feeling of being gazed at resurfaced, and it was even stronger than before, and seemed to carry a dangerous undertone!
It was the escort!
George instinctively crept forward, but was still a beat too slow!
Drilling pain came from behind him, it was actually a sword stabbing him in the shoulder, if not for his timely dodge, he was afraid that he would be stabbed through the heart from behind!
“Attack! Someone is attacking the lord!”
George couldn’t care about turning back and desperately shouted forward.
That was when the guards in front of him also turned back.
With just one look, George’s heart fell to the valley.
The other man’s eyes were crimson and he raised his sword at him.
It’s over ……
Just when George was at the end of his rope, a cracking sound came from the side!
Whoosh!
Purple streams of light sliced through like lightning, and the guard in front of him fell backwards with a sound, falling off his horse.
