Chapter 5 5 What kind of army formation is there when you can summon a natural disaster?
Chapter 5 5.What kind of formation is there when you can summon a natural disaster? Just charge and be done with it!
Moorland Village was in the southwestern part of Cadman City, because of its proximity to the commercial routes, it became a place where merchants from the south and north of the Transylvania region would choose to stay, and the whole town developed quite well because of the spring wind of the tertiary industry.
Murphy hadn’t been here before.
He hadn’t even traveled out of Cadman City before, but from the mouth of the assistant who drove the car next to him, he did know some information about the trails of Moorland Village.
For example, this place is the fiefdom of a vampire elder, and the village head here is an old blood servant while secretly doing something bad in the eyes of humans for that vampire elder and enriching himself.
The village has a large number of vampire worshippers, so it is also a “safe zone” for the Blood Vulture Clan.
“But my lord, you have to go thirty miles east, it’s not safe there anymore.”
The tall assistant grasped the horsewhip in his hand and whispered to Murphy, who was nibbling on dry bread:
“Lord Jed had said when he sent us out that there were several squads of witch hunters operating in that area, hounds of the Pathfinder Legion, who have destroyed several villages that worshiped the Bloods.
The village of Lim, where I was born, was also alas, not to mention, miserable.”
Murphy didn’t answer.
As he ate his bread, he pricked up his ears in the night, struggling to discern possible dangers around him in his vampire senses enhanced by the darkness of the night.
Although the label on the character card in front of him that had been replenished to [0/10] summons gave him a lot of confidence, the caution that should be present was essential.
Seeing that Murphy didn’t respond, the assistant who drove the car didn’t say anything else, but in fact Murphy had been secretly observing him.
This guy was dressed quite strangely.
He wrapped his whole body like a vampire walking in the sun, hating to be wrapped as a mummy, only revealing a pair of eyes.
But Murphy was certain that it was never just out of the blood servants’ admiration and imitation of their vampire masters.
Because this guy even had white eyelashes.
By a human’s standards, this was clearly abnormal.
“You do realize the implications of Lord Jed sending you out to ‘help’ me, right?”
Murphy finished his bread, shaking the crumbs from his hands as he whispered:
“Mentally prepared? Man.”
The young assistant clenched his fists at the words, and after several seconds of hesitation, he nodded:
“Well, Lord Jed hasn’t hidden the dangers of this line of work, and it’s not random that the nine of us were chosen, so maybe…”
The fellow paused, seeming to take a great deal of resolve before finishing his next words:
“Perhaps this is just a ‘waste cleanup’ . Ah, my lord, I didn’t mean it that way! I didn’t say you’re a waste, I just alas, as you can see, the nine of us are considered old and weak among the Blood Servants.”
“There’s no need to explain all that, I don’t care even if you do point the finger.”
Murphy had a big heart.
He’d heard worse many times in Cadman City over the past month, and now his spirit was so thick that it bordered on necrotic nerve endings.
Just waving a curious hand, he said to his assistant:
“Those eight people in the car I don’t care they’re all going to die on the road, they’ve actually been dead for a long time it’s just that their weak hearts don’t know it, but you’re different!
Your breath of life is very healthy and strong.
It’s even much stronger than an ordinary person, and it deserves to be the ideal candidate for a Blood Servant Warrior.
There is no need to doubt my judgment!
I’m a vampire, and sniffing out life is my instinct.”
In the face of Murphy’s inquiry, the assistant hesitated for a moment, and finally removed his hood and covering in Murphy’s curious gaze, revealing a skin that was even whiter than a vampire’s.
As well as all-white eyebrows, beard and short hair, the skin on his neck was even as clear as paper to see the green veins underneath.
Albino?
Murphy blinked.
In Transylvania, a region that was extremely closed and superstitious under the rule of vampires, such a disease would indeed be taken as an alien or some kind of monster sign.
No wonder he kept his face covered.
“I’m a cripple too, they call me ‘monster’.”
This assistant said in a bitter tone:
“Abandoned by my parents when I was a child, it was Lord Jed who adopted me, and now that His Excellency needs me to dedicate myself to the family’s cause, I will never say anything.”
“But it’s actually still a bit unwilling, isn’t it?”
Murphy let out a laugh and asked, shaking his head:
“What’s your name?”
“Maxim! My lord, my name is Maxim Sena Vlad.”
He replied immediately:
“Please don’t worry, I will escort you to your mission, even if it costs me my life!”
“Is a master who lets you go to your death and makes no secret of it really worthy of such loyalty?”
Murphy muttered in his heart.
Just by looking at this guy’s fervent face, he knew that this was a “senior blood”, a true vampire worshipper, one of the “specialties” of the Transylvania region.
There are many such people in the blood servants, some of them are affected by spells, and some of them are hungry for power.
Others, like Maxim, have been taught distorted perceptions from a young age.
But Murphy wasn’t in the mood to twist the guy back on track right now, mainly because something like him, a proper vampire, teaching a fanatical blood servant not to blindly believe in vampires sounded and felt like a whole living thing.
After thinking about it, Murphy grabbed the set of armor and weapon that Lord Jed had supported from his hand and threw it to Maxim, saying:
“Put it on, you’re the only trained warrior out of the nine of you, you’ll have to contribute when you’re really in danger.”
“No, Lord Murphy, this is a gift from Lord Jed to you, I can’t.”
Maxim immediately declined, but Murphy pulled back his own cloak and pointed to the obviously more luxurious and higher-end Elder’s armor he was wearing, saying:
“I can’t use it, so you can wear it, and I don’t like the idea of having something I gave away handed back to me as if I were humiliating a vampire’s rare attack of goodwill.”
With that out of the way, Maxim could only move nimbly to change into the old leather armor, and pair the polished and sharpened Swift Sword around his waist, before finally re-cloaking his cloak.
He also treated Murphy with more respect, and with a glance at the village ahead, he said:
“We are almost at the village of Moorland, my lord, at this time there are only 2 hours left before dawn, we can rest here and set out again at dusk.
Don’t worry, I know this road well and will reach the camp of the Midnight Hunters by tomorrow night.”
Murphy nodded.
He himself wasn’t looking forward to this death-defying mission much.
This would be the same as the Pirate King sitting at the bow of the ship, sitting cross-legged above the wagon looking left and right, and throwing one of his own Perception Scouting skills that he had just gotten earlier into the village. Think of it as brushing up on proficiency.
But this casually threw something wrong, a light red shimmering light strangely appeared in front of Murphy’s eyes, just framing the two houses at the edge of the village.
It made Murphy feel a shock in his heart, and then squinted his eyes.
The vampire pupil structure changes in the field of vision to fly closer, that light red light also converged into four human figures.
[Unknown hostile target alert targeting in progress, threat level unknown.]
“Wait!”
Murphy grabbed Maxim’s raised riding crop.
The latter looked at Murphy in consternation while Murphy snapped the hilt of his sword at his waist and dragged him to jump off the carriage which was moving slowly, and also gave the old horse a hard whip on the buttocks in the process.
“Hey, you guys go ahead and hit the village.”
Murphy shouted to the eight skinny, bony, muddled blood servants in the carriage shed:
“I still have something to do, I’ll go over there later.”
These blood servants who had already been made into walking corpses during the long blood draw did not react to this, but the old horse pulling the cart slowly accelerated under the urging of the whip and dashed towards the Moorland village ahead.
Murphy pulled his assistant into a crouch in the grass outside the village and stared that way.
Maxim had sensed the problem by now, but he was obviously a little intolerant and was about to speak when Murphy reached out to stop him.
“As you said, this is a ‘waste cleanup’, so make the best use of what you have! It’s more dignified to let them die a dry death than to live as they are now.
Cut the crap and get ready!”
As soon as the words fell, the carriage near the entrance of the village was hit by crossbow arrows suddenly shot from left and right, the old horse pulling the carriage was killed by an arrow and tumbled to the ground, there were also people flashing out from the houses on both sides who rushed into the carriage shed with their hands up and knives down.
Eight blood slaves dying before the muffled wail came out, tearing the tranquility of the night so that the two old six in the bushes at the same time shook their bodies.
“This is less than a day away from Cadman City!”
Maxim whispered with shaking hands:
“How dare they?”
Murphy was afraid too.
But he behaved a little better than Maxim, after all, the physical quality of transcendental creatures was put here, even if it was a waste of time, it could crush human veterans.
“They just dare! It seems that the Blood Vulture Clan’s so-called midnight majesty can’t scare anyone anymore, it’s like a paper tiger.”
The unlucky vampire chortled at Maxim beside him, then narrowed his eyes and stared at the entrance of the village in death.
Those witch hunters who were hiding for an ambush realized that there was no target in the car, so they immediately rushed out of the village to search outside.
Luckily, there were only four people.
Murphy breathed a sigh of relief, while crouching in place and posing to cast a spell.
That’s right, he’s going to “zoom in”.
The same experience as at noon erupted in Murphy’s body, this time to summon a large number of small players, almost in an instant almost drained his body’s weak dark spiritual energy, and then six flickering rays of light like a shuttle like weaving, in a split second will be convergence of the human form appeared in the body of Murphy.
The lead Dove, who had already been here once, moved his body in a very old-fashioned way.
He was surrounded by the other five buddies in the same dormitory in the wakefulness of the left and right to look, a stupid stay in place, apparently by this super realistic “game quality” shocked.
Pigeon treasure actually did not lie!
This game picture is just like the real thing!
“Crap! Bull!”
A person shouted excitedly then touched his pants, looking like he was planning to do something really indecent, but this big commotion couldn’t be hidden from the four witch hunters rushing over in front of him.
Although it was under the night, that excited shout pointed out the target for them.
The leader of the witch hunters raised his hand crossbow and pulled the trigger on the spot, and with a poof, the little fat man who had just shouted out bull and grabbed his crotch was shot in the head head head-on.
The whole person with an arrow sticking out of his head poofed down to his knees and fell into flying points of light all over the ground without saying a word.
This made Murphy and Maxim look dumbfounded.
Shit!
Just entered the game in less than 3 seconds and received a box lunch.
Brother, you’re just trying to get me out of here?
So skillful?
This ghost movement also put the other people startled, they instinctively lie down but also thus avoided the crossbow arrows shot in the darkness.
“My warriors how come only six?”
Murphy exclaimed as he counted the heads.
He obviously summoned ten people right, and this will lie beside him holding his head and shivering with the lead big pigeon heard the NPC’s surprise, twisted his head and spat to:
“This will be the afternoon work time ah, big brother!
Not everyone has as much time as us poor students. What’s going on here? Who are these people? Why do they want to fuck us?”
Hearing that his “otherworldly warriors” had to go to work, Murphy almost couldn’t hold his breath, I told you about the big plan to save the world! I’m telling you about a big plan to save the world, and you’re telling me you have to go to work?
Do you think that’s funny?
Work, work, work, work, my ass! How can going to work be as fun as playing games?
But the vampire took a deep breath to quickly reverse his mindset, and said in a hushed tone as the NPC handed out the quest:
“It’s the big plan!
The first step in the grand plan, to be precise!
I must familiarize you brave but inexperienced otherworldly warriors with the ferocious battles of this savage world.
Before I can truly begin the grand plan, I must train you to become warriors who can fight one against ten, however, your performance in the initial battle really disappointed me!
Perhaps becoming ‘mobile blood packs’ is your ultimate destiny.
Get up!
My warriors, don’t pucker your asses and shiver like a chicken, it’s embarrassing and undignified.
Listen!
My servants and I will charge from the front, and you will interfere from behind!
Otherworlders, this is your last chance, if you’re so useless, I’ll have to abandon you and look for other, more qualified warriors.
Now!
Charge, for the sake of our grand plan!
Warriors, charge!”
